After many promised installation dates, this company finally got around to installing a gate in late 2019, which has been purchased much earlier in the year from Lowe's. In July 2020, one side of the gate fell off (after very little use). All of the screws were put in on an angle, one braking off in the post, because the gate was put on while installing the face plate to the post to save a step, instead of screwing the bolts straight on. The face plate also is flaking paint. After myriad discussions with Lowe's in which the installer promised to contact me, they put me in touch directly with Contractor. He promised he would be over first thing in the morning . After calling Lowe's again in which they contacted him, he showed to "take a look". He said the screws were put in wrong. He said the posts had shifted and a new poles was needed. He said it was Lowe's fault because they were given the wrong screws. When asked why he would install the gate with the wrong screws, he just walked away. This reflects poorly on Lowe's. Post script: A gate that falls off and can't be used is a functional not aesthetic issue. One screw even broke off in the post. You said you installed the gate with the wrong screws given to you by Lowe's. No handyman touched the gate, just observed the issues. We have waited a long time to have a functional gate. My husband put two screws in straight on to see if we could keep the gate upright after waiting so long for a fix. He stopped because it was impossible to align. We have the gate bolstered upright with a block of wood to keep our dogs In and access our backyard. Nice try shifting blame. read more

If you like nightmares, Lila Fence is the company for you! Lila Fence was our contractor through our fence purchase at Lowe's. The communication with the manager/owner of the company is almost non-existent regarding dates and times that the fencing would be installed. Our fencing was scheduled and then rescheduled several times. Lila Fence came to install the fencing, then left in the middle of performing the project, without informing us that they were leaving. We were at the house when this happened. We were told that our property line would fit our fencing material by pine trees by Lila Fence. When Lila Fence finally came back to install the material, we were told that we now have to take down the trees and the project could not be completed. We were scheduled and rescheduled several times without initiative from Lila Fence about when this would be completed. Finally, after speaking with Lowe's many times to get Lila Fence to complete the project, Lowe's enforced the company to complete the job within a certain time period, Lila Fence finally called back and said they would text or call to let us know what day and time they would arrive (we said several times we wanted someone to be at the house when they were here). They called about 5 minutes before arriving to our house. We did not have anyone at the house to ensure the project would be completed correctly. The only positive thing about Lila Fence is that the two workers who did the installation were very pleasant and hard working. They did the best that they could under the circumstances given. If i could leave a Zero Star, I would. Went through Lowe's to have a privacy fence installed. The contractor Justin got the bid. I get it lowest bidder wins. the owner of Lila's Fence is unreliable, horrible in communication, and canceled on us numerous times. I've been dealing with Lowe's in regards to how the lack of communication from this contractor is. Not only that, the work order stated that my double gate is to swing out, and the locking mechanism is to be installed on the inside. NOPE he FREAKING INSTALLED THEM ON THE OUTSIDE!!! Lowe's looked up the work order confirmed inside for swinging out gates. Now, the contractor needs to replace the poles and locks. Was supposed to contact us 24 to 48 hours last week when I called on Wedneaday and beat again he did not call. Go figure. He was also supposed to set up pick up for the pallets with Lowe's. It's no surprise he NEVER set it up. Lowe's has been great in helping us, the contractor Justin has NOT!! read more
