5-Star Review for Dr. Henry Shao -- Chinese Medical Clinic…read more After suffering for two years with severe carpal tunnel symptoms and nerve pain in my right arm, I finally found real help with Dr. Henry Shao at the Chinese Medical Clinic. I want people to know my story so they can get the same relief. The pain was so bad that I could not sleep on my right side, and I constantly felt sharp nerve pain running from my hand all the way up my arm. I saw two different hand specialists. One wanted to operate, and the other doctor -- from a very famous clinic -- gave me an injection that did not work and dangerously raised my blood sugar. After that, he suggested giving me another injection. Nothing helped me... until I came to Dr. Shao. With just one acupuncture treatment, my hand instantly felt much better. After my second visit, the improvement was even greater. I honestly could not believe how quickly I felt relief after suffering for so long. Dr. Henry Shao has over 30 years of experience, and it truly shows. He is knowledgeable, gentle, respectful, and genuinely cares about his patients. Thanks to him, I finally found the help I needed without surgery, without more injections, and without side effects. I am incredibly grateful and highly recommend Dr. Henry Shao and the Chinese Medical Clinic to anyone dealing with nerve pain, carpal tunnel symptoms, or chronic pain. He gave me back my comfort and my sleep after two years of struggling. Thank you, Dr. Shao, for restoring my hope and improving my life.

Some areas got more pressure than others and it was all just what each muscle group needed. I even went back the next day for a detailed session releasing my psoas. My hip range of motion is much better after only 40 min of focus on the psoas and hip area and my low back is feeling so much more free. Did I mention that I am a retired deep, therapeutic massage therapist who used to teach anatomy? Joi's massage was just what I've been needing.

Another long overdue review!…read more Joi is WONDERFUL! She isn't just a massage therapist; she deeply understands the body/mind connection and applies this in her practice. On a whim (and a with very strained back), I found her number. She was able to get me in that day, which was fortunate for me but not necessarily the norm. I carry so much trauma in my body and really needed someone who understood this and how to help me release. Joi was able to do this, and provided such a safe and compassionate space for this release. Up until the holidays, I was seeing her once a month to continue the release. I need to get back to her soon (and will). I highly recommend booking a session with Joi. Her kind presence alone is naturally soothing, and you may find yourself on a helpful maintenance journey for your body and mind.

I played professional hockey and have been to a lot of Chiropractors. Dr Ken takes his time, asks questions, explores, then figures out where and what to do. I was impressed with the fact that he still does drops for the lower back. These days many Chiropractors, like to adjust the lower back by doing a twist. In my opinion, the drop with some guidance is the most effective way to get the adjustment right and Dr Ken does it! He also go my C1 first time without any issues and typically that is a problem for some Chiropractors. When you look around his studio, he has some good tools that he can use to rehab you and once you meet him, you know that he really cares. He is a good guy. Another very nice factor is that he doesn't require you to do Xray's and buy into all the add ons. I'm sure he would if it was necessary but he isn't trying to take advantage of his customers and get them to over comment at the first meeting. If you are looking for a good Chiropractor, Dr Ken is a great choice. Thanks Doc, my adjustment is holding well.
