I brought my pistol to Robert for a cleaning. He returned a gun that would no longer fire. He is clueless & incompetent.

Robert is always very helpful when we come into his shop. Appreciate the time and effort he puts forth on concerns or issues with our guns.

Condescending owner and poor businessman. Brought something to Robert and he gave a me a timeframe of when it would be finished. The date had come for when it was time for me to pick it up, which was 6 weeks after I dropped it off. I called him to see if it was finished and he told me the parts I wanted installed were defective and that he had to send them back to the manufacturer. I was upset that he didn't tell me sooner but I let it go. I started getting worried about 3 weeks after that with no contact from Robert so I called the manufacturer for the parts he supposedly sent back and they said they had never received anything from Robert Krone Or RK gunsmithing. I try and call him at this point and no answer so I wrote an email, again no answer. 3 MORE weeks go by so I give him a call that he also doesn't answer so I leave a voice mail. 2 more weeks go by without an answer so I finally had some free time to stop by and the hand me the gun unfinished and just tell me "it doesn't work" Very poor service from a man who calls himself a gunsmith. I can't speak for everyone but as far as my specific instance was concerned I would never recommend this shop to anyone to have even something simple done read more

I brought 1 rifle and 2 pistols to Robert on Oct of 2022 for consignment sale. I mentioned that I would be out of the country and how payment would be made when items sold. Robert told me that he would call me and send the check through the mail to the address I have given him. I never had a phone call OR a check never arrived. I proceeded to call him when I returned, Jan 2024. He had answered and told me he did sell the guns. I told him I never received a check. Robert then said , " no, I would have called you and you come pick up the check". I told him I never received a call. He said to give him a few minutes to look up my account and he would get back to me. I wIted a day, then called him back. Robert said ," oh, I have been very busy and I did not forger about you". Since then, I have called 4 times and left 4 voice mails. Robert has not returned any of my calls. I will now have to seek legal counsel as well as report Robert and his business to the BBB. Robert is an incredibly honest and hard working man. I have been blowing in and out of his shop for years. He is always eager to help with any problem, often at no charge! And when he does charge, he is very reasonable. If it is broken, take it to RK! If you need an upgrade or mods, take it to RK! read more

I have done several transactions with ROBERT nothing but professionalism and the best quality imaginable. I have also taken the enhanced Concealed carry gun class, one thing you have to understand if you keep putting your finger on the trigger when you're not supposed to he is going to Yell at you. He is responsible for everybody's safety on the firing line!!! He is nice and patient until you continue to do the same thing time after time and if you get butt hurt over being yelled at something you keep doing and continue to put people in danger then dude you do not deserve to carry and should buy pepper spray instead. After completing the Enhanced Concealed Carry training, I hesitated to write my review because it isn't favorable for Robert, the NRA trainer. While the overall training was good and enjoyable, his personal conduct at the range was reprehensible. His screaming and demeaning remarks were uncalled for and totally unprofessional. His "boot camp, drill instructor mentality" doesn't bode well with paying customers. I'm especially grateful that my wife didn't attend this training. She would have been humiliated just as the only lady attendee was by his brash demeanor. Cut the crap, Robert, and try acting a bit more professional. And clean up your language. Not all of us live in the gutter. You represent the NRA when you wear your instructor hat. read more

Have never had a bad experience here. However, I've never asked this place to build me a nuclear weapon either. Have had a few gun repairs and a few basic builds here. I had them thread my Rem 700 SPS and add a Muzzle Break. Service was excellent. My muzzle break makes my 22-250 kick like a pellet gun. They also timed my suppressor to the barrel (or vice versa). read more

This guy is truly incompetent. He's a fraud that doesn't know what he's doing at all. His mill-work is complete garbage. From cutting windows to cutting out for RDS pistol mounts, to the most basic trigger fitting...he fails and then takes your money. His work is going to get somebody killed. I brought him a simple "attach a trigger shoe" job and told him directly that he needed to remove the charging handle of the weapon before complete disassembly or it will damage the handle. I told him, gave him instructions, showed him, and he did it anyway. When I got the gun back, the charging handle was bent in half. He knew it was bent in half, and the gun couldn't charge, he gave it back to me knowing it was damaged, then asked surprised when I inspected it. Then after talking to many other gunsmiths in town, they started showing me all the work they were getting from his shop. He has damaged a fair amount of guns in town. In-fact, he's made some completely unusable. If you actually like your gun, then don't have this guy work on it. This guy should frankly be taken to court, or stopped by the ATF. His work is going to kill somebody. read more

Robert at RK Gunsmithing has been a fantastic resource for a lot of my NFA transfers, he makes the process very simple and easy. Its also nice he is partnered up with SilencerShop and uses their Kiosk system. I have also used him for repairs, NFA engraving, etc... he really does it all! read more

We took my wife's Walther pistol in to them because the slide was jammed. Over a period of several months we called to ask about the pistol and never got an answer or a return phone call. After 8 months we went to the shop to be told that the pistol had been sent to the manufacturer and since it was out of warranty it would be fixed after all other warranty work was done and we were obviously stupid to have jammed it so badly. After talking it over, we went back the next day and demanded that the pistol be recovered and returned, fixed or not, otherwise we would turn it in as stolen. They called the day after and said we could come in and pick it up. I contacted Walther and was advised that their guns have a lifetime warranty and I could send it to them myself for repair. I sent the gun to Walther and received it back in 8 days repaired at no charge. read more

Nice folks but you need to ask ahead of time how much it's going to cost!!! I bought a front site for a shot gun ($22), had it cleaned and had another shot gun to put a pin back in it... ended up with over $103 bill. I stuck my finger in the receiver of the semiautomatic and pulled out lots of black stuff... he claimed it was cleaned and lubed. They are WAY overpriced and awfully defensive if you say anything!!! For sure they won't see me back! read more
