Breakfast Burrito
Marnie A.

It was such a beautiful Sunday that we had to go to RJ's Cafe. We love going here. Parking was tight but luckily a car was leaving as we pulled in and we were able to take their space. Brunch crowd was lined up deep that we waited a good 20-30 minutes. We sat at one of the stone benches and waited for them to call our name. Glad the sun was out and a nice breeze coming from the ocean. Finally we were called and we got sat inside in one of the booths by the large windows. Our server was nice and friendly. We placed our order and waited about 10-ish minutes for our food to come. We ordered the onion rings special last minute and that came first. - Breakfast Burrito - Half Sandwich and half soup - Taco Omelette (New Item) - Side Onion Rings (Special) - Coffee - Root Beer Soda - Water Food is always delicious. Atmosphere is always great. Restaurant clean and inviting. Servers friendly, welcoming, and attentive.

One of the best breakfast options in South OC. This area has a lot of great dining options, this being one. It can get quite busy but the line moves fast. It's in a small shopping center so there is plenty of free parking attached right out front. Our waitress was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. The restaurant itself is pretty large, they have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating options. For breakfast we started off with the Cinnamon Roll which is not as good as the main breakfast, I think they should use glaze instead and have it be a little lighter and less cakey, more gooey. For breakfast those I chose the Lobster Benedict and loved it. It had great flavors and I enjoyed every bite. I would highly recommend for breakfast to anyone.

Stopped for a quick bite after walking the trail and wanted something to replenish carbs so I went for the cinnamon roll French toast and it was buttery and not too sweet which i appreciated. Lots of options and decently priced.

Feta scramble with sweet potato fries and cinnamon roll french toast, sausage, bacon, eggs and a diet coke

I had been looking for a good breakfast spot close to San Juan Capistrano and RJ's was perfect! They have an extensive menu with plenty of options for everyone, including healthy options. We ordered the feta scramble with sweet potato fries, cinnamon roll french toast with sausage, bacon and eggs, fruit bowl and lobster benedict with home-fried potatoes. It was all excellent but my favorite was the lobster benedict. What I liked most about RJ's was their exceptional customer service. Our server, Monica, was the nicest server and really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was so sweet, explained everything well and brought out our food right away. Besides that, I like that they have a dog-friendly outside patio. It was not very busy when we went around 2 p.m. on a Sunday. I will definitely be back to try more from their menu.

I wanted to get some breakfast and was looking for a place I haven't tried. I decided on RJ's. I decided on the biscuits and gravy after seeing someone at another table getting some. I had a side of bacon too. These biscuits were huge, the biggest I've seen. There were delicious. The bacon was the perfect side. I think the best part of eating here was the service from Monica L. She is amazing, so cheerful and friendly. You can tell she loves her job. There may be a wait at times, but it's worth it to get on the list.

Really glad we stopped in before leaving OC. Great way to cap a long weekend. Highly recommend. Pancakes were light and fluffy. Omelet was good. And got the biscuit with gravy. A little dry. But massive. Good flavor.

Located across from the Dana Point Harbor. They have outside patio and indoor seating. It can get busy so don't be stressed if you need to wait a bit - believe me the food is worth the wait. Can be a little pricey depending on what you order but I feel it was good for the portion size, quality and freshness of the food. Service was attentive. Relaxed breakfast and lunch. I enjoyed the egg white, feta and spinach scramble with added turkey sausage (10/10). A nice fresh avocado sliced on top and served with sides of toast and country style potatoes. My friend had the cinnamon roll (8/10) - delicious, warmed, soft but a little overly sweet. Better to share it. Good coffee with flavored creamers too.

Eggs Benedict

A fantastic spot for breakfast! The menu is huge, with plenty of options for both breakfast and lunch. I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict--it was amazing. The biscuits and gravy were also a hit, and the portions are giant. Service was great and there was easy parking, which is always a plus.

Carnitas and eggs. My husband loved it

Good food. Good service. Fair prices. I had the Doheny omlet but with feta instead of cream cheese and it was a winner.

Restaurant is nice with some booth seating in the back and even some outdoor seating. Parking itself-there's a small lot next to it but it's almost always full so you can do some street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. When I last came here, we ordered the red pepper hummus to share and I ordered the French dip! It was excellent as per usual and the service was good. One critique I would have though is that one of the people in my party was a vegetarian and had ordered a veggie burger. The people bringing out the food accidentally swapped the plates of someone else in the party who had ordered a chicken blt when placing the dishes in front of each person. Unfortunately the vegetarian did take a bite of the chicken blt before realizing it was not the veggie burger and spit it out. It is what it is and was an honest mistake. But, maybe confirming the dishes before placing it in front of the person would be good. First time it's happened but we hope it doesn't happen again because we love this place!

As for the food, it was pretty good. We got the Salmon, Rotisserie Chicken and Baby Back Ribs. The baby back ribs was definitely the best bang for your buck thing on the menu and they were delicious. The Salmon was ok and the chicken was a little dry. The fries and Cole slaw were very good and our dessert was also very rich. The service was solid and it felt like a place to dress a little nicer but no pressure to wear a suit or anything.

It was truly such a beautiful night that went off without a hitch. Because of YOU GUYS. Beginning of Planning: My husband and I were on the hunt for the perfect "alternative" space to a traditional wedding venue due to time constraints of planning a wedding in 4 months and also budgetary constraints (not willing to sell our souls for a 40k wedding in South OC). I came across Craft House on Yelp (another beautiful couple held their wedding there) and knew the space would be perfect. I emailed for a week or two with Kelly before deciding to see the space in person. Late November/early December we met with Blake to show us the space. We knew it was the place for us when we were explaining to Blake our overall goal we were trying to accomplish: We wanted to throw a nice dinner and dance party for the people we love the most to celebrate the love we share. And we wanted to do it our way. Blake's response: We can do it all. No constraints. Basically no "rules", do it your way. We immediately put a hold on the space for our wedding date. December-March: Kelly was the perfect person to connect with and kindly answered all the questions that come along with planning a wedding. She was efficient with answering emails and following up with us (I'm type B, I love a follow up). We went to eat at Craft House a few times during these months and we able to figure out what we loved the best on the menu and each experience was fantastic. 10/10 drinks, food, and service. March: We started finalizing all the little details, food and drink menu, decorations, table arrangements, day of timeline. It was easy, efficient and there was a confidence from both Blake and Kelly that made us feel extremely confident and grateful to have our reception at Craft House. Wedding Week/Day of: Blake kindly allowed us to bring a load of decorations the day before the wedding to help the set up efforts on wedding day. We dropped off boxes of candles with a bartender (possibly a manager) the night before and he was extremely sweet and helpful by carrying boxes inside for us. The day of the wedding, our DJ and friend who was helping with set up were able to go in a few hours before. When we walked into the reception for the first time, we were blown away! I was in true awe at the space. It was exactly how we envisioned. The beautiful wood interior and 3/4 walls of windows with plants inside and outside made it feel like we were in a green house. I was met with a drink in my hand immediately from the bartenders and I was never without a drink (they would find me every time my drink was empty and give me a new one... THAT'S TOP TIER SERVICE). We ate, we drank and we partied with the people we love the most, exactly how we wanted. Things you should know: Particulars- We had about 90 guests, 4 vendor meals and had the private space from 12 PM (set up time) to 10:30PM. Price- THE BEST DEAL YOU CAN GET. Rental for the space, food and open bar(!!!) all bundled into a great price. Best bang for your buck. Price included gratuity and a small percentage for service fee. UNBEATABLE. Service- As someone who worked in the restaurant industry for many years (and close friends who are bartenders and servers)... we all agreed that the service was top tier. One of the biggest stand outs for me was the smiles on all of their faces during our reception. There is nothing better than seeing employees genuinely smile while they are working. It really makes the whole atmosphere a million times better. Some videos that we got at the end of the night, you can see the bartenders dancing while serving guests, it made my heart happy to know that there was some enjoyment while working their butts off for us. Thank you all so much!! We enjoyed ourselves and so did all of our guests. The next day people were stunned that we had been at a restaurant and not a wedding venue. This review is well deserved. *Pictures to come!
