($200 service charge) HUH?? I brought the system from Binsky 7 years ago, in all accounts the system is a baby. Conveniently the parts are still under warranty but the labor is not and hence the 4k bill. The tech trying to press me that this is because i didn't buy their service plan. Cannot say enough positive about my experience with Strathmore! First, let's start with the…read moreinitial call. I had worked with another HVAC company to help diagnose the issue but unfortunately, they were short-staffed and couldn't come out. I called first thing in the morning on Friday morning. I told the man on the phone what I thought was the issue and surprisingly, he told me that he could have someone out to my house the same day within hours. Only 2 hours later (right when he said he would arrive), our technician arrived. He was very courteous and explained the issue and what needed to be done after he quickly confirmed the diagnosis that the blower motor on our HVAC would need to be replaced. Now, my friend who was an HVAC tech told me that a capacitor replacement would be the easiest to replace but a motor would take 2-4 weeks to replace because of supply chain issues. Surprisingly, the technician told me that he would order the parts and have them overnighted. The parts were in stock from his supplier and they arrived on Friday. First thing on Monday morning (they're understandably closed on Sundays) I received a call that the part had arrived and he would be over within hours to come and install them. Again, he arrived prompt and on time. He ordered an additional part for the blower just in case it was also damaged (which it was) and he ended up installing the new motor and fan and capacitor by 11am on Monday. The price was very reasonable and there were no surprises there. It was an absolute pleasure working with Strathmore and I highly recommend them for your HVAC repairs.

Within a couple of months the drip pan for the air conditioner over flowed and caused water damage in the basement. I had to throw out a carpet, remove the linoleum flooring and clean up the black mold that was under the flooring. Edison sent someone out 2 weeks after I reported the incident - with black mold I couldn't wait for them so I had to clean up the mess myself. They looked at the pictures that I took and said they would offer annual service for 2 years to make up for it. That was MONTHS ago and I haven't heard a peep from them. Maybe they were customers who paid for more expensive jobs. What a shame I just had a faucet.

After nearly two weeks without upstairs AC in the middle of summer, I can honestly say Sam's Air…read moreControl turned a stressful situation into an outstanding experience. I first want to recognize Steven, who was the reason we chose Sam's in the first place. We had another contract signed with a larger company, but after meeting Steven, his professionalism, honesty, and the way he treated us like family gave us the confidence to cancel that contract and move forward with Sam's instead. He took the time to answer every question, never made us feel rushed, and genuinely wanted to make sure we were comfortable with our decision. Installation day only reinforced that we made the right choice. A huge thank you to Oleh and Stas!!! These two are true professionals and masters of their craft. From the moment they arrived, it was obvious they took pride in their work. They were incredibly knowledgeable, meticulous, and thorough throughout the entire installation of our new Trane air conditioning system. Every detail mattered to them, and it shows in the quality of their workmanship. What impressed me just as much was the respect they showed for our home. They worked cleanly, protected the work areas, cleaned up after themselves, and took the time to explain what they were doing along the way. They installed both of our Nest smart thermostats and room sensors perfectly and made sure everything was working exactly as it should before they left. Even our dog loved them, which says a lot! I also want to recognize Anton, who reached out the morning of the installation to answer a few last-minute questions and later called just to check in on how everything was going. That level of communication and follow-up is rare these days. He explained everything clearly, was incredibly genuine, and made us feel like we were more than just another job on the schedule. What stood out most throughout this entire experience was the people. Every person we interacted with cared about doing the job right and making sure we were happy. That kind of customer service is becoming harder and harder to find. Sam's is fortunate to have employees like Steven, Oleh, Stas, and Anton representing their company. They have earned our trust, and that's something that can't be bought. Thank you for treating our family with such care and for turning what started as a frustrating experience into one we can genuinely feel great about. We'll absolutely be returning to Sam's for any future HVAC needs, and I'll gladly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest company that stands behind its work. Referral is the best compliment I can give, and Sam's has certainly earned ours.
