I was very pleased with the work done by Capital Home Design and Home Improvement. I needed the…read moresteel lintels on my doors, garage door and windows replaced and the bricks over the lintels replaced. I also wanted the air conditioner sleeves removed from the brick face and the bricks infilled to match the existing brick face. John, the owner, worked with me to do the job in the manner I requested. For the four built-in air conditioner wall sleeve units to be removed I wanted all the half bricks adjacent to the window sleeves replaced as I did not want to leave "scars" on the brick face where the sleeves used to exist. John went out of his way to source bricks that matched the multicolored bricks used in my home that was built some 65 years ago going to several masonry suppliers to source bricks that best matched. The results were just what I requested and envisioned. The company also repaired two balconies and replaced broken and cracked bricks throughout my home. The work was very professional and John's crew was very respectful of my home. The price for all the work was very reasonable and there were no surprises regarding the contract price we agreed upon for the job. Also, John kept me informed of progress and issues in a timely manner and was receptive to any questions I had regarding the work. I was informed of the quality and brand names of the materials to be used, especially for the bonding of new concrete that was applied to existing concrete and the stainless steel mesh used in the repair of the concrete patios. Each day, before leaving at the end of the day, the crew cleaned up the job site and left the area broom swept. The work was done to a very high professional standard and because of this my neighbor is using Capital Home Improvement and Home Design to remove their air conditioner window sleeves and infill with brick - the same as done on my home. John informed me of the start day for the work on my home and continued the work until the job was completed. When the rainy weather did not allow work to continue, John offered, at my option, to work on Saturday and Sunday at no additional charge. I accepted and we were able to use those sunny weekend days to keep the job on schedule. John went over the working hours with me before starting the job. Each day the crew arrived on time and worked until the end of the day. I observed that the crew worked safely and diligently. You could tell that the entire crew knows their craft and that they worked well together. I found Capital Home Improvement and Home Design when they were working on two neighbors homes replacing stairs that led to the second floor and that had the first floor entrance within the steps. I saw that they did a great job matching the bricks and that the work was neat and professional. I also saw that they made sure the portion of the steps that included the first floor entry was professionally waterproofed to ensure no water infiltrated into the first floor entryway. I was very impressed and I chose this company because of the work I saw that they did for my neighbors. I can recommend Capital Home Improvement and Home Design without reservation. They are an honest professional company that does what they say they will do, cares about their reputation and wants to ensure their customers are satisfied. I highly recommend this company for your masonry lintel and brick replacement.

I had to repeatedly call/text/email requesting documents. He disappeared for several weeks just after receiving my deposit despite sending several texts and emails expressing my concerns. ALLTASK/HUGO ALSO DOES NOT HAVE A GENERAL CONTRACTOR LICENSE. When asked to provide it for board approval, I was given a license number. When I requested an actual picture of a license, he produced the license of a company under a different name THAT HAD BEEN ISSUED THAT DAY. That company's website also had no mention of Hugo and he'd never mentioned any connection before. I terminated our contract. Hugo has not returned the large deposit that is legally owed to me. NO WORK WAS EVER PERFORMED AND HE HAS ESSENTIALLY STOLEN THIS MONEY. Hugo seemed to be a nice guy that was out of his depth with the scope of my project. He provided no guidance and communicated poorly. At the very least, get yourself a contractor with a license and don't give any money--even deposit-- if no work has been performed. I will gladly remove this review when my money is returned.

He was extremely responsive and always took the time to answer my questions and address any concerns I had. His team was efficient, professional, and completed the project two days ahead of schedule. They also went above and beyond by helping me with a few minor repairs and touch-ups that were not necessarily related to the painting project. I was especially impressed with the crew's respect for both my apartment and the building property. They were courteous and considerate throughout the project and made sure to leave my apartment clean when the work was completed. I contracted this company in 2017 to do some major renovations in my very first property I owned. I…read morenever had lived in a house before, and to me everything was so new. I had very limited experience with contractors. This company won me over but guaranteeing their work and servicing for "several years". Here is my opinion of them, after a year and a half since they "finished" their work: 1. quality of work: - POOR. They try to do many things "in-house", where their same workers being universally skilled at almost everything and therefore masters at nothing. Quality is from INTERMEDIATE to POOR. Many things had to be re-done, The would break one thing while fixing another, they keep creating more problems as they go along. They would also mislead me into believing that they do certain types of work (electric floor heating) , when they had no experience at all. They did not properly size the area, and installed electric wiring in the floor in a very unsafe and inefficient way, which caused the thermostat to trip. They persuaded me to install the electrical heated floors in the areas, that will never require it, simply due to physics. 2. Third Party Contracting: For come of the work they would hire another company. For the most part they would do the cheapest, low quality work, that would need to be re-done, due to safety concerns. For example they hired a company to install stairs. The quality was so bad, that the steps would start collapsing. I had to warn them of impending injury and wait for a while for them to get it repaired. 3. Procrastination / Abandonment: Even after I repeatedly warned them to winterize the house plumbing, they failed to do it and caused damage to the house. They also failed to secure /remove construction garbage /debris from my property, (despite my repeated warnings) which flew through out the neighborhood and cause me to get multiple violations from the village. They would also disappear for weeks, in the middle of work. I would later find out that they work on another property. 4. Price vs Quality: As I mentioned the quality ranged from MEDIUM to LOW, but the fees they charged where on par with very nicely done, expensive professional work. 5. Warranty. They did not honor their promise and about 8-9 months after they finished, I started having plumbing issues (they installed plumbing). They dont respond to repeated WhatsUp messages or the phone texts or calls. But the funny thing is that I dont trust them, so I rather pay someone else to fix it, rather having them come over and risking them break something else. In summary, I would definitely not recommend Royalties International Inc.

However, now that the job is done we are so happy we waited. One time one of his crew laid down a few tiles irregularly. You had to be told where to look in order to notice the mistake but before we could even say anything to him, mom got a call from Mike asking her for the number to the tile guy. He took money out of his pocket to rectify the handful of tiles without a word. He also has good vision. Mom has good ideas, but with Mike he made them better. Check out the pictures. So if you have time and can be patient with his scheduling, Mike is worth it.
