Poor service, they more than likely won't have a helmet that meets your requirements for fitment and if you order one through them in a bigger size the sale is final and no returns will be offered or accepted. I've been trying to find a local business to get motorcycle gear and I'll be doing my own measurements and going to revzilla or any other online place as all these places in Duluth and so on have screwy hours and screwy rules. Sorry, I don't support small business that has such a harsh environment for normal to bigger sized individuals. Now I understand why they don't have any motorcycle gear listed on the website and only vehicles and parts need to be ordered in person. Not the workers fault, just shitty circumstances. read more

I brought my 2018 Goldwing in for new tires and was told that the bolt recall must be done. We discussed the recall and I asked that the oil and filters be changed and was told that is part of the recall. When service was done I called and again asked was oil and filters changed and I was told yes. After loading motorcycle in trailer I laid down and noticed filters had not been changed. I went back in and service writer went back talked to technician and said filters were not part of the recall. I was frustrated as the filters were specifically talked about and confirmed to have been changed. I asked for RJ's to give me the filters and I would change them myself. I was told that they could not give me the filters and I could purchase them at cost while also complaining Honda does not give them enough labor for the recall. (NOT MY FAULT!!) This is the third Goldwing I have purchased from RJ's and they can not afford to correct their mistake over the cost of two oil filters. I now have a new Goldwing that was not purchased at RJ's and will be sure not to have any service done from a dealer with such poor integrity. read more

Overall our experience with RJs was unprofessional, lacking in customer service, and the bike was put together terribly, and eventually would have needed serious repairs because RJs assembled it so carelessly. My boyfriend and I had gone to RJs and put his name on a waitlist for a CRF 110 pit bike last summer. There was a long waiting list so we were surprised when we got a call from Tony, and he told us that they had an opening and the bike we were looking for was coming on the next truck in, and it could be ours. My boyfriend went in to the store and paid for the bike in cash and signed the paperwork a few days later, and waited for the call that the bike would be here, we were told about a week or so. After two weeks without being contacted my boyfriend contacted the sales rep who sold us the bike, Tony. When asked about when we could expect the bike Tony responded that he did not have any paperwork or a bike under my boyfriends name and he had no recollection of my boyfriend who had just been in and paid cash a few weeks before. We later found out that our paperwork had been lost and forgotten and the bike we were promised was sold to someone else. This was extremely frustrating considering the sales rep Tony had called us first and told us that he had an open bike for us. It was even more frustrating to speak with a sales rep that had absolutely zero remembrance of working with us, signing paper work, or taking our money. This had all taken place in August. After this my boyfriend had to call to get any information on the bike and sales staff became rude and unhelpful the longer time went on. Everytime we called we wouldn't get a straight answer out of anyone about anything with our bike. We were given a run around about a bike being on the next truck in until November when we finally received it. Mind you they called us in August about the bike to begin all of this. We then later heard that the salesman was telling people we were crazy and rude, because we called every two weeks to get information about a bike we had already paid for. The staff failed to mention to these people the unprofessional run around that they gave us for months. Duluths not a big town and word got to us pretty quick about what they were saying. We were not going to write a review, but feel that we need to now that have discovered serious issues with the product that we received from RJs. We have been adding heavy duty suspension to the bike and noticed how terribly it had been put together. Bolts had been cross threaded and had obviously been jammed on there using torque guns, causing damage to the bike and rendering the pieces useless. We also took the forks apart and found that the oil was milky. We found no holes in the forks seal which indicated to us that the bike had been given to us with bad oil in it, or there was water in the forks when they built the bike. The mechanic who was working on the bike with us was appalled at the way it had been put together and stated that it would not have made it thought the summer with the oil that was in the forks from RJs. Overall our experience was absolutely lacking in quality and we are beyond disappointed in the way we were treated but even more in the way the bike was put together. read more

GREAT place to buy a boat. We wanted to get a new 18' Lund Crossover boat and called RJ's and another dealer to see what they had in stock. Our sales person at RJ's was Stan, and he was very responsive and professional as we discussed the new boat and our trade-in value over a couple of calls and emails. We finally drove to Duluth from Lake Vermilion to see the boats and met Stan. The hardest decision was choosing which color we liked the most. We really wanted the boat for Memorial Day Weekend and the dealership prepped the boat and swapped the 150Hp Yamaha mounted on the boat with the 150HP Mercury we preferred. The owner approved the OT labor and the guys busted their butts to get it done. We picked up the boat on Saturday and enjoyed the long weekend. The service was amazing and Stan is the lowest pressure salesman you'll ever meet. After we picked the boat I asked Stan if I should leave a deposit (switching the motors and controls takes several hours of labor) he said no, I'll write it up and we'll have it ready for you when you get here tomorrow. That was a breath of fresh air in today's world of car, boat, and RV shopping. I don't understand the negative reviews posted here since this was best boat/vehicle buying and customer service experience I have ever had, and I have lots of cars, motorcycles and water toys where the purchase experience was less than satisfactory. read more

RJ's Service department. I bought a well used Honda from a private party and ended up with a serious shifting problem. I brought it to Jeff in the service department and they put a lot of time and parts into it before finding it was a different problem. He fixed it and only charged me for what was really wrong which was a hell of a lot less than they actually put into it. I don't complain about prices, but I certainly appreciate honesty! read more

Not very customer friendly. I've walked in there a few times now and January 8, 2013 was the most recent and LAST. Every time I've walked in there nobody acknowledged that I was there. Last time I was looking to buy the XT250 (2013). I will gladly drive to Cambridge to get better customer service. This business supports one of the largest tax increases in Hermantown history. Most business are wise and stay out of politics. The current school referendum is set up on a sliding scale to pay for a 48 million dollar tax increase on the backs of working families who live in Hermantown. An owner of a $200,000. home will pay approximately $380 more the first year. After this it slowly goes up on a sliding scale all the way to approximately $610 more per year. The owner of this dealership does not live in Hermantown; His home property taxes are not going up. I urge you not to give this dealer any business as he supports irresponsible spending from the school district. I am now a former customer. read more

I am furious. My husband took his snowmobile there to have the track switched out. He backed it off trailer and left it. When he called to see if the job was done, he was told the reverse didn't work. Well, it worked fine when he left it. We had the machine sold and the buyer was waiting for the track to be switched. RJ's fixed the reverse and finally called to say it was done. They charged us $760.00! I can understand about $250.00-300.00 for the track swap, but we should never have been charged for something that happened while they had it. NEVER will we set foot in that store again! read more

Had a new front tire put on my FJR 1300. They had the tire in stock and got me in on very short notice, but it cost more than it cost me to have my rear tire replaced at my normal place. They had what I needed but it was pretty expensive. read more
