We got married at Rixey Manor on November 9th. It went absolutely perfectly and we could not more highly recommend Rixey for your wedding. The venue was beautiful and all the staff were incredible, making sure our wedding went as smoothly as possible. Isadora and Grace were both exceptionally professional, kind, and courteous to us, our vendors, and our guests. They accommodated all of our requests throughout the planning process and during our wedding. We were especially amazed at how much backend work Rixey handled for us including setup, teardown, and wrangling of vendors. We didn't need to worry about any of that and everything came out perfectly. They also made absolutely sure that we were comfortable throughout. They kept us fed, helped the bride get ready, and regularly checked on us to make sure we were okay. On a more personal note, Isadora and Grace also went above and beyond with all of our floral needs, helping us put together our arbor flowers and a new beautiful bouquet for the bride with some of our spare flowers. A spectacular wedding venue. We were delighted to be wedding guests here in November. The manor home is a great setting with a nice reception space and many smaller rooms for appetizers, chatting, etc. The true wonder of wonders: the outdoor space. 360 degrees of mountain vistas. Horses. Ponds. Beautiful trees. Glad the wedding party organized van shuttles from hotels about 20 plus minutes away. Young owners of the manor manage the wedding events with love and care. This venue absolutely blew us away with their services and personal touches. We could not have asked for better people to work with, and an incredibly beautiful venue. It was a grey, cloudy day throughout our entire wedding, and yet it was still GORGEOUS because the views at this venue are just that stunning. The house itself is also beautiful and unique, not so cookie cutter like other venues I've seen. In top of that the owners are just wonderful people, very flexible, and will make sure your wedding is your own. We loved the freedom we had at this venue and how we were able to have much more time and far less restrictions in terms of how we wanted to spend our time there. This is the kind of place you will want to keep coming back to, and we plan to do that soon! read more

Choosing the Rixey Manor for our venue was the best decision we could have made, and it was truly a dream come true! The space is so beautiful and unique, and we loved being able to stay in the same location for our Friday night welcome party, Saturday wedding and Sunday farewell brunch without worrying about traveling back and forth or any time restrictions. Isadora and Ben were so helpful in making the weekend run smoothly and even put a back patio in just in time for our wedding so that we didn't need to rent a wooden floor for under our tent. Isadora and Ben were a godsend. We looked at 12 different venues before selecting Rixey. When we visited, the ballroom and the rooftop terrace weren't even constructed yet, and we were actually their first booking! Their website was still a single page, and even though we were looking at nothing but dirt and an empty backyard, after looking at 12 different venues beforehand, we knew that this was it. Every venue we had looked at all looked the same, but from how the sitting room at Rixey exuded elegance to the clawfoot tubs in each room, we knew that their vision would align right with ours. And we were right. We visited post-renovation, and the ballroom and rooftop terrace that overlooked the mountains were stunning. Sunset at Rixey Manor is not to be missed. We loved the feel of the house and Isadora and Ben were marvelous. On the day of our wedding, I seriously did not worry about anything. I felt so taken care of -- from bringing me anything I needed (including snacks from the kitchen) and literally doing everything for me. To be honest, Isadora knew my timeline better than I did. She did an amazing job with making sure everything started on time; I was extremely surprised when my ceremony started right at 6:30 and how everything was already set up, and all my guests were there (usually, in my experience, weddings always start late). When it came down to the end of the night with drunken guests and sparklers, you need someone like Isadora to make sure everyone is where they need to be. To top that off, they made extra accommodations for last-minute guests at the house and served us all homemade, delicious breakfast the next morning! Honestly, Isadora and Ben get so much credit for their hospitality and accommodating spirits. They are truly in this to see the bride and groom happy, and I could not have been any happier on my wedding day. Please do yourself a favor and check out their house. I could not have picked a better wedding venue than Rixey Manor! Ben and Isadora make everything so easy and are great to have around to throw ideas off of, ask questions, and for day-of help. As an event planner myself, I wanted to make sure I found a venue that allowed for my custom wedding but was laid back! Rixey Manor is beautiful, has the charm of the VA Countryside, and the sunset is breathtaking. From start to finish, it was perfect and it is all thanks to Ben and Isadora! April 14, 2018 We made the journey up from Florida Tuesday and Friday we basically moved into Rixey for the weekend. It was amazing, beyond our imaginations and dreams. Everyone had so much fun and loved the venue! All of our vendors were AMAZING!! We literally had nothing but excitement and "ah" from all of the guests! Isadora and Ben made our lives so much easier. We had a setback, but they handled it so well, and allowed us to enjoy our wedding and time with friends and family, despite the issue. From the moment my mom and I visited Rixey we fell in love. It was the first venue we toured which was a blessing and curse because after we toured we knew no other place would compare. Isadora & Ben are amazing venue owners and coordinators. They are great at making anyone feel welcome. As soon as we showed up for the first day of our wedding weekend I remember feeling all the worries and stress melt away knowing no matter what everything would be taken care if. Rixey Manor itself is a gorgeous venue. It was so nice being able to stay there the whole weekend and not have to go anywhere for the rehearsal dinner or brunch the morning after. I also loved that we had the freedom to plan our weekend how we wanted. We got married Friday, December 22, 2017 which isn't the norm, but they were totally fine with us deciding on Thursday-Saturday because of Christmas.
