I hate to leave a negative review for a small business, but I wouldn't want someone to have a negative experience like my friends did on their wedding day. The DJs had a very negative attitude and couldn't blend a song into another. I knew we were in trouble when, relatively early in the night, I requested the song "Shout," since the dance floor was dead. The DJ then proceeded to play "Shout"...by the band Tears for Fears. What DJ, let alone a WEDDING DJ, gets confused on which version of "Shout" to play? After being corrected, they played a weird, abbreviated version of the regular song...and then finally played the right one. Third times the charm. It was awkward. Thank god the best man at the wedding just happened to have a massive boombox in his car ready to go when the DJ claimed there was rain in the forecast and started leaving early, or else the evening would have been completely ruined. However, a couple shouldn't have to bring their own backup sound equipment to their wedding if the DJ can't deliver on what is promised. read more

Reading these reviews are incredibly hard to believe! I have worked side by side with this DJ company and many others and have NEVER EVER witnessed anything even close to this type of behavior! Do yourselves a favor and apologize to the super awesome people! Anyone that knows these people(which a lot of people do bc well they are the most popular DJ company in Culpeper and have been for many many years with absolutely no complaints!) knows that this sound so incredibly insane! Like anyone that reads this besides the trolls you send to bash their reputation would NEVER believe these lies! Treat people how you want to be treated. You all owe them a HUGE apology! A good DJ can read the dance floor, elevate the mood and develop a good rapport with the crowd. This DJ was unable or unwilling to do any of those things. Playing a playlist (and not even the bride's requested playlist) in alphabetical order is one of the most buckwild choices one could make. This DJ service can be and was easily outdone by a cool guy and an aux cord. read more

These guys didn't seem like they wanted to be at a party at all - they were grumpy (certainly not the mood I would want at my event), bad at keeping the party going, and couldn't be bothered to even try and make the bride and groom happy. Don't recommend if you want your guests to have a good time. read more

I was incredibly disappointed by how condescending, rude, and unprofessional these DJs were. They were provided with a curated playlist by the bride and groom, and yet they printed off an alphabetized version of some random playlist they must have found on the internet. They messed up music cues during the ceremony and were actively rude to the bride, groom and wedding planner. read more

Was very disappointed with the attitude of the DJ's. Went to a family members wedding and when quests requested songs to be played (at least 1.5 hrs prior to the end of the reception) was told by the DJ that if one more person requested a song that they were going to shut down the music. This was also told to the bride when she requested a song (her and her husbands song) to be played. They also shut down the music at least 30 minutes prior to the end of ceremony although they were paid to play until that 30 minutes later. Just very sad that during a Brides special day that people that were paid to do a service had an attitude and treated the Bride this way and her guests. read more

Start of the night everything was fine, then you guys want to start getting upset with people INCLUDING THE BRIDE AND GROOM for making song requests and threatening that if you get another request you will shut down and leave!?!? I have better sound equipment than you guys do for what you charge, my 8yo son could have dj'd better than yall. LETS NOT FORGET after all of the above was said yall still went to the bar and continued to get free drinks like nothing happened!?! If I could give these guys 0 stars, I would. I truly wish I had never booked them. They were the DJs at my wedding and made everything worse and more stressful. Do not book them for any event unless you like jerks who curse at guests and can't stitch songs together. I provided lists of songs and somehow still did not get what we hoped for. Our evening got better after they left early and they were readily replaced by speakers and my Spotify account. In chronological order: - the mics didn't work for the ceremony - they obviously tried to re-set the mics during the ceremony while we were saying our vows and there was horrific feedback - I will give them the entrance music, recessional music, and even the music during the cocktail hour was good. - during dinner they played music we specifically asked them not to play. - when our Day-of coordinator asked them to stop playing that sort of music, they were rude to her. - during the family dances, they couldn't read the mood and gently turn down songs as people were done dancing, instead there were abrupt stops that made the moment awkward. - they did not stitch songs together. A basic requirement of any mildly competent DJ. Instead there was horrible silence in between songs. Even a spin instructor at the local Y knows how to do this on Spotify. - They could not read the mood of people dancing and would abruptly shift from fun dance songs to slow stuff that clearly would have been better suited for later in the night when people were winding down. - when I, the bride, asked them to skip a slow song and play more upbeat music, they were rude and told me it was on my spreadsheet. It was, but I figured anyone with a modicum of sense would be able to realize it was for later in the evening. - they were rude to guests who requested music (despite us filling out their form and saying yes, we wanted guest to request things). - they would not skip songs, even when they played the wrong song and we repeatedly told so. - they cursed over the speakers as people got close to their equipment, despite them being the ones who set it all up. This cursing was heard by my young nieces and nephews and grandparents and they were appalled. - they messed up a bunch of the announcements so people didn't get wedding favors, sign the guestbook, or use the Polaroid. - they left early as there was a 10% chance of rain. At no point did they discuss with us how to make sure our last dance, a specifically requested song for my husband and I, would be salvaged. - as they left they cursed at any guest in their way and said "smile" creepily to women who looked at them with disgust. - they left a nasty note on a car picking up my husband's elderly grandmother that wasnt blocking them or there for more than 5 mins. All in all, I am considering contesting the charges to my account given they left early, we're horrifically rude, and made disgusting comments. Do yourself a favor and book anyone else or buy speakers and DIY it. You'll be happier than if you use these peoples services. read more

You ever meet someone who's really clearly in the wrong line of work? I did at my wedding, and it was unfortunately my DJ. I could have forgiven the screwup of not having a working mic for the ceremony, the loud speaker feedback mid ceremony as they tried to fix it, the total lack of song transitions, and even the odd tone-deaf song choices. Those things make CNT look incompetent, but don't make them bad people. The things that really stuck with me and MANY of our guests was how flagrantly rude and unprofessional they were, especially the guy. He got snappy with me, the bride, and our wedding planner on multiple different occasions when we tried to address the issues raised above. He dropped multiple F-bombs at our guests over the mic for "dancing too close to the speakers." Speakers that he set up in the first place. Finally, when the weather showed a 10-15% rain chance he packed up his stuff and left early without making any attempt to play our last dance song, or offer any sort of compensation or refund. As he was packing his gear up to leave he told multiple guests who had continued to dance with the help of a friend's boom box to "get out of the f#!king way." Finally, he left a note on my aunt's car complaining about parking him in (she didn't) as she was picking up my 85 year old wheelchair bound grandmother for 5 minutes. He signed the note "karma." Craig, I've got bad news for you, if anyone needs to worry about putting bad karma into the world it's you. Under no circumstances should you book this DJ. My friend with a boom box and a Bluetooth connection did a better job when this DJ bailed on us. read more

Craig and his wife were so wonderful on our big day! Very easy to communicate with before hand and very competitive pricing. They took our suggestions and were very entertaining for our entrances and speeches. Would absolutely recommend! read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would . They were the rudest people I have ever encountered. Not only were they rude to my guests they were rude to my mother. They asked if we would like requests and we marked yes .... When my gusts went up to them they were extremely Aggressive and threatened to stop playing music --- they had weird instrumental songs playing then would switch to break up country songs that were obviously not on my list . The groom requested a special song and they started the song then stopped it immediately stating it was a bad download....what this is 2023..... they could not read the room and would let songs completely play through... no idea how to stitch songs together..I spent months writing out songs that I have always dreamed would be played at MY wedding and I didn't get half of them . I wouldn't have even wrote this but I had multiple guests state to me how rude they were treated by them... which was NOT okay. ---- steer clear. read more
