Our family…read morewas looking for a Toyota Rav4 Prime to for the Bay Area Air District Clean Car for All Program (BAADCC), and checked that they had a few plug-in hybrids available within our budget. A rep forgot to book our visit at the South Vaness location and the car we were interested in was actually at their Geary location. Luckily we were still able to meet with someone at Geary with minimal wait. We spoke with Larry and he got us ready for a test drive. We knew what we wanted and was able to test drive a 2026 Rav4 Prime previously, so the test drive for our car was short and sweet. We let Larry know we had the grant letter ready to go so he got us squared away with the finance team, checked the special tax rates etc, and bought the car that day. We picked it up the following day after a complimentary interior and exterior car wash, full charge and gas tank before taking it home. It was great working with Larry: quick and clear communication over phone and text for updates. City Toyota SF is great because they're no frills with pricing. Very nice location but with some limited customer parking.

Update based on Franks response…read more Your response sidesteps your responsibility to check these vehicles coming in for resale. The CARFAX is obviously useless and Certified Pre Owned doesn't mean much either if these types of things slip by your process. Everyone out there that purchased a CPO vehicle from you should be re-running a CARFAX report to check on damages that may not have been reported and notifying Toyota Corporate. Vehicles have a material decrease in value due to past accidents and you effectively knowingly passed that on to me due to your negligence. I'm happy to update this review if you take steps to correct this problem. Expect reviews elsewhere as well until you do.

They took the time to answer all of my questions, walk me through the features of the vehicle, and make sure I felt confident in my decision. I never felt pressured at any point, which I really appreciated. Instead, they focused on making sure I was informed and satisfied. The HR-V itself has been great so far--comfortable, modern, and exactly what I was looking for. It's clear that they took pride in making sure everything was ready and in excellent condition when I drove it off the lot. Overall, I'm very happy with both the vehicle and the buying experience. I would definitely recommend San Francisco Honda to anyone looking for a straightforward, professional, and pleasant car-buying process.

I want to start by saying that my sales rep Gian Carlo and Michelle were great. I really…read moreappreciated Gian helping me get approved for a car and Michelle delivering it all the way to me. Unfortunately, what started as a great experience did not last. I purchased a used car and was initially excited. My sales rep offered me one set of payment terms, but when I arrived, everything had changed. The manager, Terry (I believe that was his name), came across very strong and made both me and my co-signer feel judged and uncomfortable. He kept going back and forth between what my sales rep told me and what he was saying, making it feel like it was "his way or no way." Because I needed a car, I felt pressured into agreeing to the terms. Another major issue was that I never got to see or test drive the car beforehand. I had only seen pictures. When I asked to see it, I was told it was "too far" and in the service department being prepared. I would expect a car being sold to be ready to view and test drive, but that wasn't the case here. I didn't get to test drive the car until it was delivered to me. After signing initial paperwork, we waited about 1.5 hours in the finance department. On the way there, Terry made a comment about my purse being dirty, which felt unnecessary and unprofessional, especially given the already uncomfortable situation. When it came time to sign final documents, I was asked to sign a form stating I could not return the car once it left the lot--even though I had not seen or driven it. I expressed concern about this, but Daniella responded by closing the folder and saying they couldn't proceed unless I signed. After being there for 3-4 hours and needing to leave, I felt pressured and signed. Gian later apologized for my experience and kept me updated about delays. The car delivery was pushed back multiple times due to recall-related parts, which I understand. I do appreciate Gian's communication and effort. However, the issues didn't stop there. When I received the car, I noticed: A broken tail light Squeaking brakes Gian said the tail light would be fixed over the weekend, but I'm now almost two weeks in and it still hasn't been repaired. I've followed up multiple times with little to no response. When I called, I was told the tail light is backordered, which I understand--but when I asked about getting the brakes checked locally, I was told it would come out of my pocket. This is frustrating because these issues existed when I received the car. At this point, I feel stuck. The overall experience has been stressful, uncomfortable, and disappointing. While I appreciated Gian and Michelle's efforts, the lack of transparency, pressure during signing, and ongoing unresolved issues make me not want to return--yet I feel like I have no choice if I want things fixed without paying out of pocket.

I couldn't buy the car the same day due to a family matter, but Gary followed up and helped set a trade‑in appointment. When Gary couldn't make that appointment he arranged for Z to step in. Z was a very respectful and pleasant salesperson who made the purchasing process relaxed and stress‑free. Philip, the sales manager, evaluated my truck, complimented how well I'd cared for it, and offered a fair trade‑in value with no back‑and‑forth -- just straightforward and reasonable. Edwin, the general manager, was also respectful and kind, reassuring me that the car was priced well and still under the manufacturer's warranty. Some would get back to me. Some would not. Some were a straight up disaster. Dennel was the most consistent and kind out of all of them. He always got back to me and offered different solutions as we went. I will admit that I was pretty short on email with zero emotion and he continued to meet me with kindness and professionalism. When we went with SF Mazda we were able to meet in person. He was great with both my husband and I as he showed us how our new car worked. He even came in on his day off for us AND followed up a few days later to make sure we were happy. I highly recommend him. I also want to mention Daniel Balayan. He was a massive part of making this happen as well!!!! Both of these guys were the reason why I am driving my new CX-5 to work. I appreciate them so much!
