The two stars for me comes with a mixture of ridiculously high prices and not so friendly service. The prices are a little outrageous, and maybe that's just because I'm not some super wealthy individual. But I can't justify spending over $100 on a shirt for my 2 or 6 year old nieces. Then comes the service. Everytime I come in to look around I'm faced with two scenarios: 1. They think I'm stealing and hound me like a hawk. 2. They treat me like there's no way I could afford anything in their store, so I become leper-zoned. It really ruins the experience for me, making it difficult to ever want to actually splurge on anything they sell there.

Yes, the clothes are expensive, but no more so than Janie and Jack or other online boutiques and…read morethe pieces are top quality and unique. Know before you go in that you are probably going to spend $100-150 per outfit. (And you can get some of that money back reselling on eBay or in kids consignment if you take good care of them.) I have purchased outfits for photographs at Piper on four separate occasions and have had assistance with selection and fit that was helpful and respectful. I returned a couple of items that we didn't end up using with no trouble at all. My only complaint might be the limited sizes available. There were dresses and shoes I would have purchased, but they did not have my daughter's size in stock. However, it's a small store with only so much room for stock.
