The employee wouldn't offer anything, not even a bucket of balls. I get that weather isn't their fault, but there should be some flexibility I've never been to a course that didn't offer rain checks. The greens which are huge were in perfect shape. It takes time to learn the design philosophy here. Lots of ravines and scrub you need to carry on your drives but wide fairways beyond it. Some holes have blind shots because of the rolling terrain but not penal at all. The clubhouse staff was wonderful. A quick lunch at the turn was available and the pace of play was good. Well that's strike 1, 3 Strikes and I stop coming in, So Maybe Just maybe you can lose customers and make it up with the fees, But your Waitresses who have all been good except once will lose the Tips, and I doubt if you will make it up to them with the fees. I am always worried about being disappointed when a course has been hyped a lot (See Cherry Hills, Arrowhead and most "top choice" courses in Colorado). Ballyneal surpassed all my expectations. Better than anything in Hawaii, California, Arizona, Washington, Oregon or Florida where I have played the "premier" tracks. Do yourself a favor, find an open play time, gather up your money and go play it. Fair warning: no carts and a long course. Best tip: get a turkey sandwich. It's $20 but worth every penny.

At $40 per couple a round (with cart and two buckets of range balls) it's significantly cheaper than places in town. ++ There are several holes that present some interesting challenges for golfers. Challenges here mostly elemental such as high winds. +/- For better or for worse, there is no enforced dress code here. -- The greens are rough to say the least. In fact, you just really have to consider it a "backyard" course and recognized that many aspects with be rough. -- There are truly no amenities aside from a couple portable toilets at the "clubhouse" and one on the course. If you keep your expectations in check, Quint Valley Golf Course can definitely be a great way to spend a couple of hours on the eastern plains.
