The Lakeland Tag Agency is a partner to the Tax Collector (the Polk County DMV), so if you need tag, registration, title, license plate updates, or a few other car services you can stop here instead of the ever busy tax collector building. You can walk in here for any services except if you want fast title services- you do need an appointment for that but it's really easy to make one on their website ahead of time. Otherwise, you walk in, check in on the ipad and put in your phone number and they have a tv screen that constantly updates showing where you are in line. It's very straightforward and low stress. We were helped by 2 different ladies, I missed the ones name but the other was Heather, and they were both super kind and added to the positive experience. I need a title transfer and to get new license plates and so long as I had all the documents necessary it was a beyond easy process. I'm really impressed with this business- I know they have a Winter Haven location and I think one in Davenport as well. It's a fantastic alternative to having to go to the actual DMV if what you need are services specifically for your car!
