The National Corvette Museum is an awesome automobile museum with something for everyone! There is handicap parking up front and when you walk into the entrance, there are already several Corvette's on display. Some of them are actually being raffled off and tickets for the raffles can be purchased at the museum. The entrance area also has two race car simulators where you can safely experience the thrill of driving a race car Corvette. There are senior discounts and military discounts (veterans and active duty) available so make sure you inform them prior to purchasing your tickets. Inside the museum is a journey through the past to the evolution of the Corvette! There are many classic Corvettes, Corvettes that were race cars, prototype Corvettes, and even celebrity owned Corvettes! There's a lot of history in this museum and they even talk about a sinkhole event that happened at the museum in 2014 and steps taken to recover the beloved cars! Some cars amazingly came out in great condition, but others suffered irreparable damage! This museum is just a real celebration of one of America's most beloved sports cars! Take a look, take photos, but go visit if you have a chance! There are guided tours we were told, but many people choose to just self tour the museum on their own! You even get a wristband, so if you don't complete the museum tour in the morning, you can come back in the afternoon and complete your tour. Overall, it's a very fun, interactive, and enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend!!

I tried the $18 simulator, one star for that terrible experience. The car handled like it was on ice. Nothing and I mean nothing like a good simulator should look or feel. Don't waste your money. Trash the simulators. Their embarrassing. They love selling raffle tickets. The odds are fairly reasonable. The gift shop is almost exclusively for older models. Again, not much for the C8 enthusiasts. I really was hoping for something unique pieces available in the gift shop. Very boring merchandise. I'd probably scrap 90% of the inventory and get a lot of updated merchandise. Higher quality and more unique. Add areas where you could get custom things made of you and your car. Get creative. I'm glad I went but not something I'd want to go back to. And I'm pretty sure now that I'll continue to pass on museum delivery.

Having driven by Dinosaur World countless time between Louisville and Nashville, we finally decided…read moreto visit on my wife's birthday. As if the 34-foot dinosaur an I-65 didn't get your attention, it's literally right off of the expressway. The Visitor's Center / Gift Shop is your point of entry. If you bought your ticket ahead of time (recommended) they'll scan it and give you a wrist band. you can also buy your ticket there. A visit to Dinosaur World won't break the bank. There are some add-ons (fossil dig and sifting through sand) that you can add on and that kids might dig. Once you get your wristband you're on your own to roam and explore. There are over 150 (as I recall) life-size dinosaurs on exhibit, all well-crafted and maintained. There's an informational plaque for every exhibit giving the name, pronunciation guide, location information, and a few other facts about each particular dinosaur. It doesn't go into great detail (and doesn't really need to, to be honest). I was surprised how small the Velociraptors were (they're based on actual skeletons)..then again, Jurassic Park set a rather fictionalized standard. In your travels you can go out to the large 34-foot dino that lives along I-65. The information said that that dinosaur is a fictional dinosaur and not based on an actual one. It may seem like it's quite a hike to the that one, but it's really not. In the center of the park is an amazing exhibit that showcases several types of dinosaurs in what may have been an open area, milling about and doing dinosaur things. It took us about an hour to visit all the dinosaurs. The park is kept amazingly clean and during that hour we saw 3 different park personnel keeping it that way. There's an informational dinosaur museum that's got a number of fossils and replicas. Again, the information designed to make you a paleontologist but to give you an overview and a little knowledge. At the end is an animated T-Rex that is 100% AWESOME. The wife and I decided we'd have to visit again when our grandkids get a little older. I love this place.

It's silly. It's impossible to ignore. It's Dinosaur World…read more My wife and I have a strange requirement to go to any roadside dinosaur museum that we come across. We've been to quite a few over the years, but Dinosaur World is probably the largest and definitely had the highest population of fiberglass dinosaurs. Seriously, there's so many! The main attraction is the outside path that winds through a wooded area with just a ton of life-size dinos. Informational plaques rest, embedded in rocks, with some basic info. Bring along a first grader if you want to know more. There is also a dinosaur playground and a mini golf course (strangely not dinosaur-themed). Inside is a large gift shop as well as a dimly lit walkway with animatronic dinosaurs. These are actually really good with eyes that blink, heads and tails that turn, and ferocious roars! Lastly, I want to say that I appreciate the commitment to the bit. Aside from the mini golf, everything from the trash cans to the inside of the bathrooms have been dinofied!

We visit many wineries and can count on the fingers of 1 hand the few that we bought so much from as we did here. We've traveled from Tn to Pa 5 times this year, usually stopping at a winery or 2 (or 3!) each trip. We tried calling this place when we were in the Bowling Green area at convenient hours (they have tastings only by appointment). We weren't successful at finding them till this last trip, and are so glad we did! They offer almost 20 bottled wines and occasionally yet-to-be bottled samples. Diane - wife of the wine maker - regales you with the design behind each tasting - which is free, by the way. I was especially enchanted with the 2 wines made with the Moore's Diamond Grape (Silver Streak and Diamonds& Lace) - VERY good. We also picked up a bottle of Norton 2017 (my wife's few red wines she ever liked), Berea Rose (Baco Noir grape), and a couple dessert wines - Cranberry Pleasure and Red Raspberry 2020. The last 2 we were allowed to cork (picture below) and label ourselves.

This is the best drag race track I have been too besides a big NHRA track. I consider this one as a…read morelocal track. They advertise free parking but there is an admission charge. You pull up to big entrance and pay. Then you can park where ever you want. They give you a schedule at the entrance. Now looking at it, it seems they have something going on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They also even have events going on sometimes during the week days. They are open April to November for racing and other events. So they are closed December, January, February, and March which are the Winter months. I wished this track was closer to me because I would be a regular. One feature I really liked is that they have bleachers with roof tops. So you don't have to sit out in the hot sun. You can see these roofs in the pictures I took. As a matter of fact, there are bleachers on both sides of the track. So you can choose either side.

We each got 6 samples for free. The Apple Verde was AMAZING! We ended up sitting around the fire pit with a bottle to split. The gentleman who did our tasting was the wine maker and you could tell the pride he took in his product. I loved that almost all of the grapes for the wine were grown on the property. Their wines are also sold at Total Wine for my Louisville friends. They host monthly events starting in April. We are already talking about staying in bowling green for a weekend to enjoy some live music at the winery.

Ok. So...10 minutes in, I was thinking "2 stars...if they are lucky!" But you know what...? Turns…read moreout they were lucky, so 3 stars it is! Things got a little better and the two wines that are actually under their name/label were surprisingly delicious! Anyway, we were driving back to Louisville from Nashville and the Fella filled me with joy when he said we could stop at a couple wineries on the way. Not only is it a great way to break up the monotonous drive, but it allowed me to try more Kentucky wineries (like a Pokemon, I wanna try 'em all!). Cave Valley Winery was the right distance between the first place we stopped and getting home, so we decided this would be our final boozy-stop on the way. It is easy to get to, just a small loop off the highway at the Park City exit. It was a strange first impression when we got there, though. The winery isn't so much a winery, as it is a room inside an old hotel that also operates as the site's regular bar. They were also getting ready for a Ladies' Shooting competition to be held on the weekend, there were lots of gun signs and promotional booths and tents set up and sponsor banners. We weren't initially sure that we were at the right place...maybe some of the banners were covering the winery sign? Also...guns and alcohol...what could go wrong, amirite? It was strange. When we walked in to the bar, there were two people futzing around with the register iPad and a printer. It took a bit before we were greeted, and when we were, they both mentioned that they were not the tasting host and would go get her. While she was being retrieved, we were able to look over the wine list and the woman at the bar got us started with our first sample, though she admitted she didn't really know anything about the wines. Once the usual wine tasting host, Amber, came in we were ready to lock and load. (Get it...because of the gun range...no? Ok.) You get 5 samples for $5. But be aware, they only have TWO wines under their own label. The two they have are surprisingly delicious, if I do say so myself. As for the rest of the two-page wine list, they are all wines from Wight-Meyer, which is not one of my favorite places either. So that was a little disappointing. And they were out of a few of the wines I wanted to taste. Amber was pretty alright though, with some information on tasting notes. But she was minutes from the end of her shift and asked that we close out right away. Which was fine, we needed to get on the road again anyway. Overall, I am conflicted. It was a weird experience, but their wines are decent and once Amber got to our tasting, all was well. But temper your expectations if you are a winery-hopper like me. (If I was feeling more generous, I would give another star just for all the puppers roaming about....but really, 3 stars is where its at.)
