When I got to the bathroom there was only a porta potty toilet, nothing more. I was fine with the bathroom I just didn't like the environment. I grew up camping and I grew up in Boy Scouts and this is not a place for camping.

What I particularly love is that it has a very dog friendly vibe and I could take my dog for a walk steps from my home, knowing that it's a safe place for him and for me. The park is pretty clean. I think people who visit this park do a great job of cleaning up after themselves (minus a few dog poops that I saw around a park, which I hoped was due to unintentional unnotice of dog owners...and not intentionally leaving them there!). The park has both sand and grass area...they clean regularly (their trash is never full!) and provide free dog poop bags for those who forget to bring their own as well. The only drawback is that aside from a few big trees around a park, there's really not much shaded areas for you to hide from the heat. So, make sure you come when it's not 85F+ out. For me, since I live super close by...this temperature/no shade area isn't an issue for me. However, if you are walking from afar or driving here...maybe time it well so you or your loved ones (kids or dogs) don't get heat stroke!

There is a lot of fantastic park equipment for kids as well as plenty of grass and trees for ambiance. A lot of people love to walk their dogs here and it's a great place to do it! Our Parks and Rec department keeps it clean and that makes it a fantastic place to have parties. The neighborhood is really friendly and that makes this an extra fun park! We really enjoy even just parking here and enjoying a quick bite together when we just have a few minutes between errands because it feels like a break from it all!

It's close to the foot of the mountains, so the view is spectacular. There are modest play structures down the way for the younger kids of a variety of ages, and shady seating for moms and dads, both surrounding the soccer fields and next to the playground. A bike path skirts the park, probably connecting to one of the larger city paths (love this town for long bike paths). Great place for frisbee, kites, any number of athletics (soccer, baseball..) or a leisurely repose in the shady grass. Just pee before you get here; there appears to be no toilets.

The main highlight of this trail is the tranquil freshwater springs. There are also some lovely views, looking out across the nearby neighborhoods to the distant mountains. In spring, this area is a great place to see a variety of different wildflowers in bloom. The three springs are for visual pleasure only and are covered in algae. It gives a nice surreal feel to them and we got great pictures. It was still cool when we set off, took us 60 years olds 40 mins with stops to catch our breath. At the top you can continue on the 1.8 loop back to the car park. We retraced our steps coming down and it was not even 20 mins.

My partner and I often tried to find different outdoor places to go for a walk..especially during…read morethis COVID time. I'm glad we found this open space along Alameda road..and based on how many cars we saw parking spots in the few times that we had been there, it seemed some locals also agreed with how great this place was as well. I loved that you could take a walk after finding yourself a parking spot in a lot. And even though it seemed there were many cars in the parking spaces...when we went for our walk, we barely ran into or had to interact with anyone at all. The walk was a leisurely relatively flat level walk..and you can pretty much feel safe walking around as the roads were quite well paved..and there were homes..heck even horse farms nearby! I loved that you could pretty much do whatever activities you desired there. For instance, we saw a couple of people taking their horses for a ride along the paved road, some people running along a small river stream, families and dogs just walking for exercises and even some people on a bike/going for a run, too. Overall, I enjoyed getting a fresh air away from my home area..and liked that the place wasn't too crowded despite what it's parking spaces may suggest. It's a good place to get your own exercise in and have good, private conversations with those you go with without worrying about people eavesdropping onto your conversations or disrupting the peace from whatever activities you try to do.
