The hotel offers a free hot breakfast each morning. Most of all, the place is great. All of the employees treated us with the best customer service, the rooms were fantastic, and the amenities were special. The indoor pool and the workout room added something we could enjoy while we were here. If you need to stay somewhere in Vancouver, this is definitely the place to be!

Upon arrival to the hotel, we ended up finding out that two of the coaches rooms were not ready, coaches rooms were apart and we had some parents near our room despite the head coach calling in advance to make the change. Despite waiting, we were able to get into our rooms, the rooms had our names customized on the TV which I thought was very thoughtful and they ensure to have makeup remover wipes for the girls. The rooms were nicely made and very comfortable. We coordinated with the front to let them know a mass of our girls would be down for breakfast between 7-730 am and my girls let me know they were so so happy with breakfast. Overall the staff was so kind and friendly to everyone despite the little hiccup. We for sure will be returning next year for state again.

You feel like you're in the middle of the woods in a log cabin, but you're not (lol). One of the best features is the serenade of birds over the speakers throughout the day. Tranquility is the word that comes to mind when you stay here. There was a very large group of homeschoolers for some type of retreat but they were all very well mannered and not rowdy at all in comparison to other experiences we have had with large kid groups staying in the same hotel as us. Would've been nice if there were more healthy options in their small store and the prices were hefty. We saw the prices and did not purchase. Absolutely appreciated the free water station. Overall this was a very nice comfy stay for us. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to all. The price of the rooms were super comparable and worth the cost.

We were greeted nicely when we arrived, however our room was not ready for check in. Apparently they were having a bit of remodeling going on in the hotel. Once we got our room a quick look around certainly made the place look tired and neglected. Clearly ours was a room that had not been renovated yet. Tears in the curtains, dings on just about every wall in the room, a pretty dirty looking sofa and small holes in the walls in the bathroom. Look at the photos. The bed was ok, and the pillows were decent. I'd say the best part of this Homewood Suites is the location. Only a few blocks away you can walk for miles along the river with great views of Portland. I'd definitely consider staying elsewhere, however with the remodeling it may be better than when we stayed.

There are two Homewood Suites in Washington State that are our "go to" places for a weekend away…read more One is the Homewood Suites in Richland. The other is this particular property. The property was going through a full remodel the last time we stayed. Our room had not been one of the remodeled rooms, having a fireplace, a dining table, and seating that was comfortable. A member of the team who dined with us was easily accommodated at the table. When we arrived we were a bit disappointed. We were scheduled for a 4:00 PM arrival and check in. We stopped for dinner first, arriving at about 5:00 PM and our room was not ready. We went back to our car and waited until about 5:25 when we were notified our room was ready. We were expecting the same comfortable feeling as our last visit. The room was now very modern, almost cold feeling. Don't get me wrong, the room was comfortable except a high back chair was no longer in the room, a modern "L" shaped sofa bed with a low back was in the living room. The room lacked any of the character we have come to expect. I commented to staff whom I met on our last stay, and they privately agreed. There was no longer a table in the suite. Instead there was a "waterfall" bar height "table." The suite was as shown in the photos with the fireplace having been removed during the remodel. The breakfast buffet was above average with different offerings every morning to go along with the eggs. The breakfast area still had the lodge feeling that we have come to expect. It was clean and very comfortable. Coffee was strong and hot, so I was happy. The property was well maintained, except the garbage outside of our room was not emptied in the four days/three nights we were there. The room did not meet our expectations as they were based on our last stay. Things change, I understand that. Had the room been ready on time and the garbage been emptied from immediately outside of our room this would have been a much better review.

The onsite restaurant Gray's offered a good mix of breakfast items for all dietary preferences. The conference rooms are spacious, and sound proof as there were meetings being held in the rooms next to ours and there were no disturbances. This Hilton location rates high for excellent customer service, cleanliness, and hospitality. If your flight gets hit with a ground stop, the hotel's position is essentially that you're already checked in -- even if you're several states away with no physical way to arrive. When I explained the situation, the conversation quickly turned into me asking to simply be checked out and accept a one-night penalty. I was more than willing to cover that, but I wasn't willing to pay for the entire stay when travel disruptions were completely out of my control. What was most disappointing was the lack of flexibility or guidance. No alternatives were offered, and there didn't seem to be much concern for the realities of air travel. For a property that presumably serves many business travelers, the response felt far from traveler-friendly. Based on this experience, I won't be booking this location again and would recommend choosing a property that better understands the unpredictability of airline travel.

He is now rethinking whether or not he wants to use Hilton anymore. They are typically excellent and welcoming. This stay was absolutely horrible. I only slept in the bed once for 5 hours. The rest of the time I only showered, changed clothes and laid down for an hour or two. My mother was at Peace Hospital and dying. I rarely was even in my room which was a good thing. It was extremely loud, dusty and not user friendly. The bar was closed as well as any dining options. The "breakfast" was not good. Hilton usually has good food. This was nasty. I didn't want to chance it and didn't eat. I later found out that being a diamond member meant absolutely nothing to these people. They acted like they were doing the customers a favor by "letting" them stay in this hotel. I tried to buy an OJ at the front desk and the disheveled male didn't have a clue how to do this. I told him to forget it and I would go elsewhere once I changed clothes. The staff with the exception of Renee were not helpful. She was professional, emphatic and efficient. Unfortunately, she worked day shift. I came back to the hotel at 4 am and my key once again did not work. The front desk person was a disheveled male who was asleep at the front desk. I had to bang on the window and wake him up in order to get in to the hotel. He was extremely rude. I think that he was actually a maintenance worker. The next day, once again my key didn't work and this time a housekeeper was in the hallway and opened the room for me and offered to go and get me a new key. She did this and I sincerely did appreciate it. However, that night the girls soccer team stayed there and were running up and down the hallways and the noise level went up again. It wasn't the girls fault. The hotel is under renovation and should be closed until completed. They are developing a horrible reputation in the community. If I had read the Google and Yelp reviews prior to booking the reservation, we would have never booked that hotel. I was there for 4 nights and 5 days. Never once did housekeeping clean my room even though I asked at the front desk. I was told later that because they are renovating, they are short staffed and don't have to clean the rooms. Unbelievable. And to make matters worse, they ended up telling me if I wanted to extend my stay I would have to move to a different floor. My mother was dying and the last thing that I wanted to do was switch rooms. Therefore, I decided to check out and move to a different hotel. Because of the horrible experience that I had there: keys not working (had to be replaced 3 times during my stay), getting locked out of the hotel, internet not working, no room housekeeping services, rude unhelpful staff and a leaky shower that when I tried to sleep it never stopped even though I did inform the front desk that it was an issue and the fact that even though we called to complain, we were told that we would get a refund within 3 days. This didn't happen so we called again. We were informed that Jessica the onsite manager denied the refund and stated that there were no issues. I would never stay there again. The fact that they are renovating and short staffed along with NO amenities is unfortunate. However, due to their bad behavior, I will NEVER stay there again and am now reconsidering whether or not to stay at anymore Hilton properties as there are definitely other options available. They may have stolen/robbed me of the money that I paid for the room. But, in the long run, I am going to tell everyone that I know to avoid any Hilton properties in Vancouver, Washington.
