I had an overnight stay at Hilton Vancouver WA for work, and this location was extremely accommodating and perfect in every way. The staff at this location were all very courteous, and welcoming. This is one of the first Hilton locations I've visited that makes sure HH members are acknowledged in a memorable way, there was a spin the wheel for HH member's offering a chance to win additional points and/or free parking (I won free parking, very much appreciated!) The room was spacious, clean, quiet, comfortable, and modernized. The onsite parking was very well secured no matter how late your arrival could be the staff go over and beyond to ensure guests and staff enter the garage. The onsite restaurant Gray's offered a good mix of breakfast items for all dietary preferences. The conference rooms are spacious, and sound proof as there were meetings being held in the rooms next to ours and there were no disturbances. This Hilton location rates high for excellent customer service, cleanliness, and hospitality. I quickly suggested all of our team meetings be held here, and will add to my list if I ever need a place to stay with my family; I highly recommend! read more

I learned an unfortunate lesson on this trip: never check in through the Hilton app if you're arriving by air. If your flight gets hit with a ground stop, the hotel's position is essentially that you're already checked in -- even if you're several states away with no physical way to arrive. When I explained the situation, the conversation quickly turned into me asking to simply be checked out and accept a one-night penalty. I was more than willing to cover that, but I wasn't willing to pay for the entire stay when travel disruptions were completely out of my control. What was most disappointing was the lack of flexibility or guidance. No alternatives were offered, and there didn't seem to be much concern for the realities of air travel. For a property that presumably serves many business travelers, the response felt far from traveler-friendly. Based on this experience, I won't be booking this location again and would recommend choosing a property that better understands the unpredictability of airline travel. read more

Can we at least include a fridge standard in our room? Basic pool and gym expected of a 3 star hotel or so and one restaurant establishment. Okay stiff/cocky check in staff on the night but a cute one with a personality on checkout. Can they stop advertising Hilton Honors? Like I get the point in every email wow lame marketing move and like yay for doing the free thing we asked you to sign up for how exclusive. Even had to show it on the welcome screen on entry. Also tried to push breakfast room service, sure I can just go down and get it myself. Also thought app room key would be super cool but you actually have to go to the front desk for check in and checkout which disappointed a little, why advertise a feature I thought would be super cool and modern where I wouldn't have to talk to anyone at all as an introvert!! The hotel has become dated and starting to show wear, when we stayed there was only two cups for coffee, mind you we had tea the night before. So had to reuse the cup! Only 3 sugars and two tea bags, this might seem like a squabble for nothing, but thus isn't the cheapest option and one would think the brand would be better than this. The beds were comfortable enough. The rooms have very thin walls, bring ear plugs! I definitely will look into another hotel option next time. read more

Let's start by saying this is a beautiful hotel. I stayed 4 nights and did an upgrade for the first time here. What a great difference. The staff was lovly. Everyone was inviting and helpful. Shout out to the front desk team for killing it everytime I went for a walk or out for a bite to eat. Engagment goes along way here! Super clean and well kept hotel. We arrived for a funeral which required a 2 day stay. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to ensure we were safe and attended to. The rooms were spacious and clean. You have the option when you check in to have room cleaned every day or not. I think this is a great option to have. The hotel also has a good amount of under ground parking and direct access to the lobby. Checking in was fast and accommodating. I had a great stay here. Stayed one night because it was close to the Portland International Raceway and was going with a friend to the Grand Prix of Portland. Parking is $30 a night for self park. The staff were super helpful and I was able to check in 3 hours before check in time! The in house restaurant has great breakfast and the room are nice with comfy beds. read more

Decent hotel in downtown Vancouver that could be a lot more than what it actually is. The hotel is clean and in good location. That's about all the positive I can give it! Negative: beds are not comfortable, walls are super thin and you will hear your neighbors-so good luck with that good night of sleep. Lobby does not have complementary coffee nor a little shop to buy necessities such as toothpaste or Advil. They will direct you to a convenience shop few blocks away. I stayed here during the World Cup and their cable package did not involve a single game!!!! I called the front desk and offered to pay to be given better access but that was declined. I was told to stream it on my phone or laptop! No kidding! The flat iron worked but was cracked and leaked water. Parking is $18 per day for self serve or $23 for a valet, but do not expect a fast service at all!!! If your tent has holes and leaking rain, you could stay in this Hilton. The cell service inside the ballroom is non-existent and the hotel will not give the WiFi password because the event needs to purchase it. *i am a Hilton Honors Gold Member who has stayed here in the past. Security escorted me to the front door from the business center on suspicions of being homeless* Was in town for the afternoon. Needed a place to take some work calls until my flight out of PDX. Jon the security guard *immediately* questioned what I was doing in the business center, which does not have any door or key access to get into. It's part of the convention center. After giving them my name, last name YAO, Jon the security guard said "we don't have a reservation under a last name "YAL". You need to leave or we will call the cops". I corrected him that he spelled my last name incorrectly. He said, "doesn't matter, you need to leave now or we will call the police." Then I was escorted to the front door like a criminal or houseless individual. I complained to corporate, and the assistant manager Steven Nelson was forced to apologize over email (weakest apology ever but he did apologize). I asked whether I was welcome back the next time I had to attend an event at the convention center. The asst manager Steven Nelson replied back to tell me "only if I have official hotel business", and that I must tell him what event I was attending before I can step foot in the hotel again. Nothing against Jon the security guard, but you can tell he's not all there mental-wise. Good on him for holding down a job and being able to follow Steven and management's discriminatory procedures. read more

The room was exceptionally clean. The service, from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the luggage carrier, was absolutely outstanding. The mattress was medium, and very comfortable, with thoughtful linen choices so you can tailor your sleep covering. The ammenities were more than adequate, though a microwave would be a nice final touch. We stayed here one night for a wedding and the room was perfect. Check in and check out was super simple and fast. Came with everything we needed. We slept like babies in the bed. Would stay here again if ever needed a vancouver hotel. The restaurant in the hotel has great food and drinks -Grays. We found free parking right out front by Ester shore back since it was the weekend when we stayed. (Free parking on the street on the weekends). My sister had her reception here so we got here earlier and used one of the banquet rooms for her guest. The hotel allowed us to decorate however we wanted. The food they served was phenomenal. The only negative thing was there were issues with the sound system, we needed sometime to plug an iPhone in for the speakers and there was mis-communication and it took longer then needed for the music to be working. The hotel tried to charge my sister to use a cord - almost $250 that they didn't even use. It's 2019, there shouldn't had been any issues with the sound system with everything being organized well in advanced. This is not the cheapest hotel, but it is a beautiful one. They've redone many things to be more modern. read more

The sweltering nighttime temperature ensured I didn't sleep well. I called guest services and was offered a fan or to open the window, because the engineer was gone. Because the room is across from a barbecue pit, it smelled like a forest fire; the window wasn't an option. The thermostat said it was supposed to be 65 the whole time I was there. It never cooled off and the air stopped running for long periods despite the temperature in room. It would activate for a sweet half minute every 15 minutes. The lobby was nice and cool while my room was an oven. And, overnight construction outside my window. Yeah. I will not stay here again. read more

Great hotel! I hope we use it for work again. I spent one night here and two days worth of meeting. The hotel isn't huge and it's probably not of the highest levels, but the rooms are clean and the Vancouver location is better than being in downtown Portland, IMO. It's right by the river, and across from a park, which would be great in warmer weather. The front desk staff was helpful and courteous and helped me get a new card for late Fri afternoon so I could work out before hopping on a plane. The gym is pretty barebones, and has just a few cardio machines, a set of free weights, and some room to stretch, but there's also a pool and jacuzzi and the bathrooms have a shower and toiletries as well. The conference room we were in was great and the food was AMAZZZZING. Can I get the recipe for the gigante beans?! Lunch was so fresh and the desserts we got were awesome too! Crossing my fingers that we get to come back. read more

I stayed five day's. Very disappointed. The Hilton was created as 'The Best.' It's now ranked #84 nationally. They pioneered Airport-to-Hotel service yet don't provide service to PDX. Uber was $40. The first hotel to have TV's in rooms, yet didn't carry or provide newspapers . The room didn't come with an ice bucket, mini-fridge, microwave or hair dryer. The iron had fabric stuck to the bottom. No complimentary breakfast. They didn't offer a room upgrade with a view. Does this sound like world class service? Is this a place to pay top dollar? It seems The Hilton is running on past reputation than current, up to date amenities. The carpet had a foul smell the maid noticed. This is sad, when you consider what The Hilton is supposed to stand for Excellence. Nice front desk staff doesn't make up the difference in cost. read more

I've been to the Vancouver Washington Hilton a couple times for events and stays. It's in downtown across from Esther Short Park were the Vancouver Farmers Market sets up shop on summer weekends. The hotel is very consistent which makes it a reliable choice for a business traveler. I like knowing what to expect when I check-in and that is exactly what happens at this Hilton. My room is ready. It's clean. The bed is comfortable without being too soft. Even though it is in Vancouver, this Hilton is especially convenient to north Portland because the entrance to the 5 Freeway and bridge across the Columbia is just a few blocks away. We also found it to be convenient to the new Vancouver Waterfront. For the hosted events I've attended, the food wasn't bad while the service was great. When faced with a choice for where to come back the following year, we chose the Hilton again. So, ya, I'm a fan of this 4-star Hilton and repeat customer for hotel stays and events because it's consistent, convenient, and an easy choice. read more

We came here for a fair showcase and the hotel was so accommodating to us. We had a big illusion we needed to load in and they directed us which double doors to use and allowed us to bring our macaw into the hotel as well. Everything was set up really nice and we used the restaurant which was delicious - literally inhaled their salmon entree! My kid ate all her chicken and they serve French vanilla ice cream for dessert - so good! I've never had such an excellent waiter. read more

This Hilton is what you would expect. No more. No less. Some of the rooms have river views, which is nice. The rooms are decent and clean. The restaurant is nice and had a patio. It is overpriced for what you get, though. There is a Starbucks downstairs. The location of this hotel makes it a win. Currently, until the under-construction hotels are finished, it is the closest hotel to the new, swanky riverfront area. Great local restaurants and wine tasting bars. We got out of the hotel as soon as we could due to snotty attitudes, terrible service, and the restaurant, cafe and pool is overpriced, blah at best and the worst is when the have a power outage they make the guests pay. Stayed here one night for a friend's wedding last weekend. The room was comfortable, the location was perfect as you have access to everything right there. My only complaint about the room were the pillows. They were very flimsy, like someone shoved Kleenex inside a pillow case. Even with two of them I couldn't get comfortable and get a decent night's sleep. It was $200 for a room so I expected a little more. Visited them at least 3 TIMES over the span of 1.5 years to get a walkthrough of their wedding venue for a our very large (over 100 ppl) local nuptials (post-destination wedding). As this is a full service Hilton, I was a bit disappointed in the rooms and the amenities offered. There is no sundry for basics should your luggage get lost or should you need something like - tylenol. There are also no safes in the rooms. This meant I had to haul my computer and ipad around the conference I was attending as there was no way to secure it in my room. The desk was typically under staffed with only one person there and they were normally tied up on the phone for long periods of time. The bell desk was the best part of this hotel with super attentive staff. read more

I have to say, some excellent staff! Diverse, kind, patient, friendly and fun...hell, I miss some of them! Truly! I bet ya'll know who you are too, lol... I will review the restaurant there separately, just an FYI there. OK, so I arrived to stay there for a few days for an Unschooling Conference. This means KIDS. LOTS of young kids, older kids, young adults, and adults :) I know at my first conference I was stunned to speechlessness, lol, So I can only imagine the recovery (they are still going through a weekish later, lol) that is happening...and I'd wager that while calm is nice - we were fun to have there. Why? Because we are a fun group! OK, let me get real here. The front lobby was beautiful and so well kept. Two huge, wide glass doors for luggage, folks in chairs or with walking support or whatever and in the center, a tri-divided revolving door. Smooth, clean floors, welcoming colors and shades and textures, with chairs, couches and what felt like "rugs." Super patient staff for check in and various questions so many of us had. I had left my phone charger on the train and they were able to charge my phone behind the desk for me more than once. They give you a luggage type claim tag, so all is safe. I felt silly though - one I had forgotten to turn down the ringer, lol, so they heard all my individual beeps, rings and tones...lol...like John Lovitz said, "Get to know me!" lol! The only negatives *I* had, were in regard to the lack of items that so many travelers need. No fridge (blah, this new trend, at MANY places, sucks to be honest and blunt), the ice ran out in the machines, and not even any honor bar items in the rooms. Trust me, I was desperate for a bottle of water and only had plastic to pay with late at night...I'm sure it's a loss, but please..., lol...? Really, it's a couple if different things. The staff: SO KIND and welcoming and funny and sweet with me, and with my kids. The beds. HOLY SHIT (oops, sorry, but trust me). No back pain when I sleep at Hiltons. Zip. I have chronic pain, folks, this is a big deal! Style and cleanliness in common areas - excellent. Gimme a waist-high glass fireplace EVERY DAY if possible! :) I'd 100% recommend staying here. The local eateries were wonderful, the park adjacent to the hotel is AMAZING (kids ot not, it's a great park!) and they have a Farmer's Market in the spring and summer (it is "up there" ya know, lol!) that smelled amazing...the scent wafted up to the balconies, which also happened to provide an amazing view of the park and bits of downtown Vancouver). The point is, it's not just he hotel, it's where it is and how they are integrated into the neighborhood, that make t seem more personal and welcoming - along with the staff, of course! Oh Hilton Vancouver, where do I start? I reserved a 3 night stay here on Hotels.com which recharged my credit card right after I made the reservation. Fast forward to 2 months later when I check-in at around 11pm. I could immediately tell the front desk receptionist was nervous when I started talking to him. He notified me that they had overbooked their rooms for the night and that they had put me up in another Hotel called the Heathman lodge. Huh? I had just gotten off the plane from a 6 hour trip and all I wanted to do was shower and crash. Now they wanted me to drive an additional 15 minutes to the Heathman because they overbooked the hotel? I asked for the manager and when he came out he was very calm but not very friendly or helpful. He said that 3rd party booking sites will sometimes overbook their hotel at which point they have to offload people to other hotels. They said they would pay for the night at the Heathman and then gladly take my money for the next 2 nights at the Hilton. After some more discussion and arguing I had them give me another free night at the Hilton and upgrade me to a suite for the next two nights. My beef is not with the outcome of it all. I'm quite happy with what I ended up getting and my eventual stay at the Hilton. I'm more annoyed that I had to argue my way into getting it instead of feeling like they wanted to remedy the situation and take care of me as a guest. read more

Quite a nice hotel with a view of a lovely old park on one side (where the Farmer's Market is on Saturdays), and a view of the river that divides Portland Oregon and Vancouver Washington. And unfortunately, also, all the train tracks and ugly old commercial buildings near the waterfront. The historic old town is nearby and is full of life in the evenings. Very accessible to the freeway. Our room was very pleasant, spacious, and the beds good. A nice roomy bathroom. Very clean, modern, and the staff were very welcoming. No refrigerator or microwave. Otherwise, a well stocked room. Although I worried about the loud horns blasting from the trains passing nearby, and our room faced that direction, I was never bothered by them, and slept like a baby. Even though I got this room for a ridiculous price by bidding on Priceline, there was not a hint of snootiness. We enjoyed our stay and would love staying here again. read more

Hilton as a brand is very consistently a plus. I was in charge of coordinating my company's holiday party and we decided to go with this Hilton location as we have in the past. So, this review is geared toward a large party, not the hotel rooms as we did not utilize that feature. The original person involved in planning our party was very nice and informative. However, reaching anyone for questions was sometimes a chore. Our party planner was changed 3 times, and once the final person was in place, somehow all the previous conversation was lost. We were overpromised and under-delivered on a few key points, but the person finally in charge did a fantastic job of doing everything in her power to make our party a success. She really did blow me away! The food itself was hit and miss... the meat was overcooked and not proper temperature, but the sides were great and people seemed to enjoy it as a whole. The facilities are elegant, decorations simple and classy, and the service staff was second to none. My large group of 100+ had a great time. read more

We stayed here in early July 2020 (during COVID), and the hotel was fairly empty. There were face mask signs in the lobby and elevators, and our room was very clean. The front desk agent was polite and we were quickly given a key to our room. We were upgraded to an upper floor corner room with nice views of the park and the river. The location is excellent, and we found free parking on the street just 1 block away from the hotel. It is a short walk from the hotel to the beautiful new waterfront development on the Columbia River. It can be a challenge to find an affordable place to stay near Portland during the summer, and this hotel is priced far below hotels of similar quality in downtown Portland. read more
