Silver Lake Hospital has been a blessing for my mom and me. She arrives in very poor condition, yet…read morethe care she receives is outstanding. The medical team, therapists, staff, management, and even the security officers are incredibly kind, professional, and attentive, and they always make us feel safe and supported. I am given a private room with my mom and a sofa so I can stay overnight and help care for her, which brings me so much comfort. After a very difficult experience at another hospital in Brooklyn, the compassion here has helped me heal emotionally and trust the healthcare system again. Everyone--from the doctors and nurses to the physical, occupational, and respiratory therapists, nutritionists, and security--treats my mom like their own family and truly focuses on her recovery. I strongly recommend Silver Lake Hospital to anyone who wants their loved one to receive excellent care and recover as quickly and comfortably as possible. Yana Veda Nadezhda Vedritskaya

I have been a patient at the NYU Langone Bethpage practice for three years, but my recent…read moreexperience with Dr. Linzer was so completely disrespectful that I am moving all of my care elsewhere. I had a 3:15 PM appointment. I waited in the lobby until 4:15 PM with zero communication about any delays. I was brought into an exam room, had my vitals taken, and was left sitting there for another 30 minutes. At 4:45 PM, an hour and a half past my appointment time, I had to leave. The support staff here are excellent. Crystal was very helpful in setting everything up, and Cheryll at the front desk was compassionate, respectful, and apologetic as she processed the refund for my co-pay. Dr. Linzer, however, was incredibly unprofessional. While I was at the desk, she came out looking visibly agitated. Instead of apologizing for the massive delay, she abruptly demanded to know if I was leaving or wanted to be seen. When I told her I found the wait and the experience disrespectful, she immediately cut me off, cited "emergencies" in an aggressive tone, and quite literally stormed away. Given how I saw her handle this situation, displaying a complete lack of poise and compassion, I am truly glad I didn't receive any medical care from her. I would strongly encourage anyone considering using her as a physician to take that into account. Her time is not more valuable than her patients' time. If you want a doctor who treats you with basic professional courtesy and respects your schedule, look elsewhere.

My first chemotherapy is Friday 11/21/25. I'm not gonna have a good Thanksgiving! Today at 4pm I have a full body scan. Tomorrow they put in the port for chemo and Friday is chemo. The doctor must have seen something in my recent bloodwork because he is really rushing me through the system. He said if they didn't give me the appointment for the port for tomorrow his office would call them. I'm always going to recommend NYU Langone as I've never had a problem. It was a little bit of a walk from the train station so if you cannot walk much, you are better off waiting for the bus that drops you off nearby. The building itself is not near many eateries, so you will have to trek around to the neighboring food carts or just bring your own lunch. Eating and drinking is allowed in the waiting area (right when you come inside). The waiting area is clean, the seats are nice and soft ("buttery" as one had described it to me), and outlets located around for charging your devices. Check-in was easy. Provide your name, the name of your guest (or person responsible for picking you up), fill out any other necessary paperwork, and wait to be called. You are given a card with color coded status updates that you can refer to on the screen next to the TV. The only bad thing is that the status screen should be placed elsewhere as it is smaller and gets hidden by the adjacent television. It is also not noticeable from the far corner and you have to get up to look. Outside of that, the status does get update as the patient moves from one stage to another and it is very easy to read. The staff were very friendly and patient, shout-out to Nurse Marie, who was an absolute angel in helping my spouse recover from the anesthesia as well as following up the day after to see how he was doing. :) Considering the past care that he received from the original medical facility, NYU Langone goes above and beyond in patient care and customer service! Anyone who has to have an operation should definitely look into having it at this facility (just make sure your insurance covers it, of course).
