We were really lacking in quality flowers and Bloomsville has been like a breath of fresh air. I met the owner a while ago and he always seems to be happy and cheerful, filled with great knowledge about the flowers and different arrangements. He mentioned that he had helped out with arrangements at the races and told me about a feature of bright pink rhododendrons. I was sold. When I walked past I noticed that apart from having the usual gorgeous seasonal flowers and foliage that there was Christmas decorations in the store. After I had gotten over my initial shock about the fact that Christmas is indeed approaching, I had a closer look and resolved to return soon - not just for some flowers, but to browse the cute merchandise.

There are so many florists that just stock the regular cottage garden flowers and plants, and while these are beautiful, sometimes you just need to see some vibrant colours and interesting foliage. Eufloria has scarlet Waratahs, enormous Proteas, deep purple lilies and towering Gymea Lilies. Eufloria is a refreshing and stunning florist that delivers on quality.

Beautiful blooms are in ever corner and line the pavement outside. A more diverse range of flowers including natives and tropical mix amongst classic cottage plants like snapdragons and tulips. Flowers of Canterbury is on the cutting edge of floristry. They always have interesting and very artistic displays, and they can create some beautiful bouquets and gifts. Prices are very reasonable, but expect to pay more for the larger and less seasonal flowers (Peony lovers, that's you!). They cater for weddings and corporate events too. The florists are fabulous and very helpful when it comes to finding the perfect flower for an occasion or even just making your mind up with all the different choices. It's always worth having a look at the flowers outside on the pavement. During winter, Flowers of Canterbury had a supply of Daphne in a bucket. You could smell the citrus scent from the other side of the street. Owner Cobi is always friendly and cheerful, and her boutique is filled with warmth, hospitality and beauty.

Too high on the top and awful grey suede leaves that can't go on a cake! One single stem of a Singapore orchid dropped down the side all alone, looking ridiculous and the blooms weren't even open! I asked them to add a couple of flowers but they wouldn't. I asked them for a refund and they said no. I asked them to swap it with a bunch of flowers that cost $40. Less than the cake topper, but they refused. They got the owner on the phone and when I said I wasn't happy and that it didn't look good he said he did it and I was rude. I was so upset by this stage. The girls begrudgingly gave me 3 extra flowers and I had to go home, pull it apart to take out the hideous grey leaves and make it all again myself. Very disappointed in their attitude and service.

When you step inside, it is not hard to see why. Beautiful seasonal flowers can be found here for reasonable prices. What I like about Panache is that they don't just cater to the oldies and offer them English cottage garden bouquets, there are also exotic orchids and funky native blooms in various bright hues. They aren't the most artistic with their floral creations, and I would recommend heading to a more specialized florist for big occasions like weddings, but for a great bunch of flowers at a decent price - Panache is fine.
