I wanted…read moreto get some flowers sent to Mum to brighten up her day, and wasn't sure which flower place to use. I ended up going with Flowers of East Bentleigh mainly because of the other reviews on here and because I could easily order online (time differences meant that calling wasn't really going to work out for me as I wanted the flowers delivered on Monday). Ordering online was really easy and I was impressed with their range. I ended up opting for a plant rather than flowers and I picked the "green thumb" option for delivery the next day. From then, I didn't have to do anything - delivery was done without a hitch and I got a text from Mum in the middle of the night (my time, not hers) saying thanks for the delivery. Pricing was reasonable and they accept all forms of cards as well as paypal. I'd definitely use these guys again.

When you step inside, it is not hard to see why. Beautiful seasonal flowers can be found here for reasonable prices. What I like about Panache is that they don't just cater to the oldies and offer them English cottage garden bouquets, there are also exotic orchids and funky native blooms in various bright hues. They aren't the most artistic with their floral creations, and I would recommend heading to a more specialized florist for big occasions like weddings, but for a great bunch of flowers at a decent price - Panache is fine.

For me, florists fall into one of two categories:…read more 1. Beautiful florists that are artists with flowers that you'd trust to create and send someone a bouquet without you seeing it first, do your wedding / other major event flowers and so on. 2. The florist you get flowers from to put in your house. Nice, simple bunches of things like proteas or tulips. A Secret Garden proudly told me they deliver and do weddings, but for me they're really not that kind of florist. They are however, perfect for grabbing a pretty and cheap bunch of something on the way out of the supermarket to brighten your home.

They are so beautiful, daddy!" And that was money well spent! Being a past customer from 9 years ago for our wedding flowers back when she set up in Highpoint, Cecilia also remembered our theme, and added a personal touch to the bouquet (a butterfly). And of course, wife was pleasantly surprised and loved the gift. Thought I'd come on and write a review and saw a previous review dated 2011, which was before Cecilia took over this florist. I do suggest to contact this florist (Cecilia) if in doubt and look at the flowers that she prepares just as a basic and you would likely be impressed like i was.

On Sunday morning, while my hankering is normally for a Bloody Mary and some granola, I instead craved fresh plants. It had been a long time since I visited Northroy Nursery and was pleasantly surprised by what I found. From the exterior it appears to be your basic nursery, primarily selling pots and soil however when you walk in you will find quirky cacti, hanging plants and succulents as far as the eye can see. But what is best about Northroy Nursery is their indoor plant section. I was very surprised to see an abundance of fiddle leaf figs (if you're not in the know, these are a very cool plant right about now), which are often very difficult to find in Melbourne. While these were quite small, they were retailing for an eye-boggling 20 clams! I had never seen them so cheap before! They also stocked a LOT of fruit salad plants, hanging plants and also moss for if/when you attempt a terrarium. If you're in the market for some good indoor plants, definitely stop boy Northroy.
