Rivers Pointe Management went ahead and hid my review here and on other apartment review sites. It only further shows me their questionable ethics as a company, and as individuals working in the onsite office. I will continue to repost my honest review each time this happens, and with additional detail and blunt honesty. So please, go ahead and hide this too. I still have the BBB and local news to reach out to as well about the lack of ethics and empathy Morgan Communities operates with as a whole. It would make a lovely evening news feature. So, with that in mind, let's get detailed! Office Management - They will placate you with niceties via email, to cover themselves, but will treat you very poorly in person. For example, when running into issues with an unreliable roommate, I went to ST in the office to figure out my options, almost in tears mind you, and she treated me like a sub-human inconvenience who kicked her puppy, and turned me away. I also reached out to her many times via email for maintenance requests and to answer questions, one topic of which was not responded to for months, and when I mentioned it in another thread with CW, she sent an email response on the original thread, and tried to play it off as if it'd been stuck in her outbox all that time. Since those encounters, I started to go to CW directly, who has been mostly very polite, but he takes a long time to get back too on simple questions, and seems to lack basic empathy. Grounds/Maintenance - The plowing services are AWFUL. They have their own team of people who do this, but there are regularly MANY unplowed spots after storms, especially over the weekend as their staff is M-F. Where as friends I have in Cobblestone, who pay literally 1/2 of what I do in rent with utilities included, have very clear parking lots and salted pathways to the building. There is frequently a ton of ice and snow still on the sidewalks at Rivers Pointe, it's unsafe, and my dog and I both slip often. On top of the unkempt winter conditions, many residents do not pick up after their dogs, and it's disgusting. Office management has not found a reasonable solution to this problem, and the rest of us suffer. Lastly, over the summer, they do grass treatments, where the dogs cannot go on the grass for 24+ hours, and they do all of the grass at once. Seriously?! A pet friendly community essentially makes it so pets have to live elsewhere overnight because they have nowhere to go to the bathroom? You'd think they'd have the common sense to do sections at a time, and communicate to residents which sections are still safe so they do not have to temporarily rehome their pets. Completely inconvenient for no reason other than their lack of planning and common sense. Pricing - Morgan Communities has pricing that changes literally daily. They compare it to "airline pricing" and say that many things play into this, including time of year, lease term etc. I pay $400 more than a friend and neighbor who lives in the same apartment, and ethically I find that ridiculous. Apartments are not airfare. It's the same square footage, building, floor, finishes, and layout. But because he signed his lease in April, and I did in July, it's apparently okay to charge $400 more. Other apartments in the area keep their pricing for identical units consistent, and only update for inflation and market changes every 6-12 months. Morgan Communities pricing model is frankly very deceptive, non-transparent and ethically I'm still questioning how it's okay in their eyes? This company is morally bankrupt. Not only in their pricing structures, but in their deception with the general public by hiding negative, yet honest reviews. Please look up Morgan Communities, they own more than Rivers Pointe in the area, I'd suggest avoiding all of their properties, as the pricing works the same for each of them. Some of which I walked through before deciding on Rivers Pointe, and frankly, they're over priced for what you get too. Their other properties in Liverpool are disgusting, I felt dirty leaving them. read more

It's been over a year since I moved to Rivers Pointe and overall, I am satisfied living here. First, location. I love that Rivers Pointe Apartments is very well located. It is a quiet neighborhood, but still is next to great retailer and grocery stores, like a Walmart Supercenter open 24/7, a Wegman and Price Chopper also open 24/7. We have also Lowe's and Home Depot, Barnes and Noble, Homewood and Kohls, etc. All of them a few blocks away. To make things even better, there is a Well Now Urgent Care also a few blocks away and easy access to I-81. So, location is great. All buildings have a main door with double doors. After passing the first door, the second door can only be open with a magnetic device given only to tenants. There is an intercom on the wall to reach the apartments and tenants can grant access to the building from the convenience of their homes. Each building also has a service door on each end, those doors also only with the same magnetic device. Hallways are carpeted and well lighted. To make things better, each building has an elevator in excellent conditions, so moving in or out is easy. I feel safe living here. One day I was talking to a police officer at the Syracuse Airport and I told him that I live in a very safe place. He immediately told me: "there is no safe place in New York". I replied: "I live in Rivers Pointe Apartments" and he said: "I know where it is, yes, that place is really safe". If location and safety are your concern, there is no better place than Rivers Pointe Apartments. Now, let's discuss about how management does their job. I rarely called maintenance in over a year, and when I did, they took days in repairing a problem. Now, we have a new management. Let me tell you a bit my experience with them. Over three weeks ago, (Monday 12/2/19) I was out of town. We had a snowstorm in the area and the crew removed the snow from the parking lot as they were supposed to do. That day my family stayed home; they did not go anywhere until my daughter had to leave around 5 pm. When she went to her car, there was a snowbank behind it that needed to be removed before she could move the car. She called me at 4:30 pm to tell me that she didn't know what to do, that it was too much of snow for her to remove and it was getting dark. At 4:37 pm I called Elizabeth Derrick, the property manager. I told her I was not at home and the problem my daughter had to remove the snow. She told me she would take care of that, that I shouldn't worry. At 4:47 pm a maintenance guy called me back and asked me where my daughter's car was. I gave him the description of the car and the tag number. He found my daughter's car and told me he was going to remove the snow. It was getting dark at that moment. I called my daughter and told her that a maintenance employee was going to remove the snow for her and to be there when he did it. My daughter told me that the maintenance guy not only removed the snowbank behind her car, but also the snow on both sides of the car that did not allow her to open the car door. Man! I was so impressed! since this guy's duty was only to remove the snow behind the car, not on the sides, but he did it! It was very cold out there, it was already dark, he worked pass over 5 pm. just doing more than his work. He really went the second mile and help my daughter to get into her car. That was more than outstanding! If you are looking for a new home, I seriously recommend you Rivers Pointe Apartment. read more

These apartments are beautiful. The community is conveniently located and exactly what I was looking for. I was very excited to sign up and move in. I have found that maintenance requests take a bit, but the maintenance staff is very friendly. The office staff is very quick to respond, and is generally helpful. I do find that they're rude when issues arise or they are inconvenienced in any way by residents and their lives. (ST is not a service focused individual, which is concerning, considering her chosen career. She gets very visibly flustered and upset when going to her for help, which is literally her job.) When going to the leasing office for help and concerns, one would hope that they'd approach you with understanding and a desire to make it a pleasant experience all around, for all involved. Not always the case. Also, there is no real way to keep residents accountable for picking up after their dogs. While most residents do and keep our outside areas clean, some don't and it's frustrating. I found out recently, a coworker who lives in the same building, in the same apartment (layout, square footage etc) pays $400 less a month. He and his wife signed up and moved in April of last year, and my female roommate and I moved in July. When asking about the large difference in pay for the exact same apartment, I was given a breakdown explaining that they approach their pricing similarly to "airline tickets" and it fluctuated based on the time of year, and the length of your chosen lease. So if you're willing to gamble on how much more in rent you may be paying than someone else for the EXACT same product, by all means check this place out. You could easily be paying $400 more than your neighbor and friend for the exact same product (I am), because of the month you needed to move. It's also deeply concerning that a young married heterosexual couple pays $400 less than what my female roommate and I were offered when we moved in. What does that say about equal opportunity housing? How is this even legal? Morgan communities is the only place I've seen locally that plays with their pricing like this. Other local options you see and know the rate for a 1/2/3 br apartment, it applies to all units of that layout/sq footage, and changes only yearly or every 6 months or so, not weekly, or daily. Stay away from this Dump Hole, I have lived here about 4 years now and have seen this place going down the hill and with the new management taken over about a year ago it is nothing but greedy unprofessional people running the show now, This use to be clean and joy to live place is now filthy, unhygienic place to get sick, there is Dog poop all around the property, be it green area or doorways to the building, there is Dog poop everywhere, and after repeated complaints to the management nothing happened. The doorway of the building I live in there is poop sitting for the last 5 days and I was told they will take care of it right away, but nothing happened. They even will tell you that it is not an emergency repair situation if your toilet bowl is clogged and they will get to it in 2 weeks' time because you have 2 toilets in your apartment. They charge you High Monthly Rent and then add other charges like Renters Insurance Fee, Utility Fee, Trash removal Fee, Admin Fee, and even if you pay rent online another Fee. Then you pay Sewer, electric, heat and Water Bills on top. So, at the end it will cost you a fortune to live in this DUMP HOLE. STAY AWAY!!!!!! read more

I moved into the apartments with my husband and new baby in July we choose these apartments after looking at many luxury apartments the landing in b'ville many other newer spots. We choose Rivers pointe because it felt very safe. All of the people that live here are very friendly and either are middle age professionals or older and it's nice because there is nothing to worry about no loud music or sketchy people. You also need a key phob to get into our building which makes it extra safe. We also have a washer and dryer in our own unit which is super nice for us. We are on the third floor it is so quiet here sometimes I forget I love in an apartment building. The pool was also a lot of fun for us this summer, I highly suggest Rivers Pointe Apartments! read more

I've lived here for about a year and a half now and it wasn't until the last few months that I've really started to enjoy it. Since the new management group came in, they've made a good effort to build positive relationships with my girlfriend and I, and are attempting to create a more inclusive community. Maintenance has stepped up their game and are very helpful and the snow plowing has already been better this year than last year. Recently, we had a problem with our microwave which was fixed the very same day - something that would've taken probably at least a week to do in the past. My girlfriend, dog, and I are very content living here and probably will be in the near future! I love everything about this place! read more

Rivers Pointe is a great place to live! The staff is very friendly, and always available when you need them. If I have ever had a maintenance issue within my apartment, they have come that day to fix it for me. My building is always very quiet, and my neighbors are very friendly! All of the buildings are very safe too, no one can enter without their keys! The apartment grounds are always clean...the parking lots and roads are always plowed, sidewalks are salted, grass is always cut, there is no dog poop laying around (in fact they provide you with doggy bags inside each building and at locations around the vicinity). I would recommend Rivers Pointe to anyone (singles, families, elders, etc.)! read more

Community is very convenient to shopping (Wegman's, Price Chopper, Kohls, etc.) restaurants, yet once in the community feels very tranquil. My apartment backs up to wooded area where occasionally see deer and other wildlife). Grounds have improved significantly with new management (I believe will continue to improve but previous management let grounds deteriorate somewhat so could not give 5 star rating yet). Maintenance people are fantastic; both very responsive and pleasant). Had an issue with refrigerator (shelf broke) and they repaired no questions asked. Hallways and entry are kept clean. read more

I lived in Rivers Pointe for 2 years prior (2015-2017), and then recently came back again in June 2019. The new management so much different and much better!!! For example... grounds are cleaner, staff are friendlier, maintenance is quicker, better online portal. Rivers Pointe offers so many great amenities in their apartments that I love--2 bathrooms, large closets, washer/dryer! Makes apartment living feel like a home. I am excited to see the future of Rivers Pointe through the new management. I would highly recommend this community. read more

Rivers pointe is such a great place to be! The staff was amazingly helpful in helping us find the perfect apartment. They have updated units with beautiful granite countertops. The location is perfect- seconds away from wegmans, walmart, aldi, and countless restaurants- you can't beat the location!! Also the amenities are hard to beat- pool, fitness center, tanning both, lounge area, cinema, business center, etc. Such a great place to live, we are so glad we chose Rivers Pointe Apartments. read more

We have loved living at Rivers Pointe for the last two years.We were moving into the area from out of state and weren't happy with any of the apartment complexes we looked at until we discovered this complex. Not only are both the management and maintenance teams very helpful, but also very approachable as well. There are a lot of amenities (swimming pool, 24/7 gym, movie theater, business center, etc) but nothing beats the beautiful sunset views off of balconies. Come see for yourself! read more

My husband and I have lived at the Rivers Pointe Apartments for almost 2 years now along with our dog who joined us about a year ago. Our apartment itself is beautiful and we have had great neighbors. I feel safe in our building which was important to us. The maintenance staff is incredibly friendly, quick to help and loves our dog and gives her lots of attention when they see her outside. The management has been very responsive and all my complaints are addressed in a reasonable time. Quite neighborhood and close shopping. Upon looking for an apartment in the area, Rivers Pointe Apartments was the best choice for us because of the location, looks, and cost.
