And on days I was tasked with bringing in treats, I could stop here and get still warm cookies for the morning meeting. But this is all ancient history. On this visit Shea's plane was delayed and since it was lunch time I decided to eat a sub while I wait. I got the bbq brisket one that I have often. It's pretty good come with a lot of meat. I was excited as they had the fountain machine that makes a lot of different drinks. However Hope's were dashed on that front as they clearly had limited syrups available as the options were pretty limited. And to further complaint about the drink, the paper straw was not up to the task. I am not a paper straw hater as some are, but this was very poor and was soggy and collapsing before the drink was done. Anyway it was a good lunch while I waited .

It was a breeze stopping here before our light to Cuba last month and grabbing a $6 footlong speciality sub. The location itself is HUGE and had all the standard subway goodness! I did it on my phone in under 2 minutes and grabbed a cookie on our way out the door.

I get the same thing every time and it has been great every time as well. The portions are huge, the onions and sauces are fresh, and the staff know exactly what they're doing. Kebab places like to fill up the kebab with unnecessary greens to lower the production cost of the kebab - this place gives you a heavy portion of meat with just the right amount of peppers, salads, and sauces.

I especially like those florescent pink pickle things. What are those? They're so salty and crunchy! The prices are very reasonable and so we'll definitely be back. He was a really friendly guy who greeted us with a big smile. Another business that obviously takes pride in their food and service. My only complaint... napkins were not easily accessible at the tables. We had to ask at the counter for extras and like any good donair, these babies were a bit messy.

This is in a shopping complex with a number of other businesses, stores, and a Save on Foods so a great place for lunch or dinner if you are already at this complex for other reasons. It also allows for a lot of parking though the evening we were here, there were a lot of people out shopping. We still ended up parking right in front of the restaurant. They do have a bit of indoor dining but I was here last November and a lot of people weren't really dining in at that point of the pandemic. My only complaint is that I felt the service was a tad bit slow. Usually donair places have everything ready ingredient wise and they can whip them up pretty quickly. I found it took 10-15 minutes for my donair to be assembled. It may be that they had a lot of take out or delivery orders to fill or maybe one very large order or something, but that would be my only complaint. My next visit to Edmonton might include a return to Prime Time for another Donair!
