My dad booked cabin 11. This cabin needed a lot of updating and repairs. The dishwasher did not work, the hot water only lasted for 3 minutes, the paint was missing on walls and the deck was also in bad shape. The bathroom floor was rotting away. The decor was shabby and the cabin needed a deep cleaning. Carpets were disgusting. The fridge froze our food. Many of the light fixtures were missing bulbs or the bulbs were dead. My parents and I were very disappointed in this cabin as it was over $400/night. My dad called during the stay to make complaints and the host did not call back. He made several other attempts to contact her to request at least partial refund and she never called him back. See photos.

We also enjoyed the comfy adjustable bed with massage function, faux fireplace heater, refrigerator, and smart TV for when we wanted to stay in. John and Nancy were more than happy advise us on restaurants and local attractions though I had done exhaustive research on them already so we were good to go. We couldn't have asked for better hosts! Due to Covid we couldn't gather for breakfast but they were happy to leave fresh coffee, scones (sooooooo good!), and prepared eggs from their chickens. Seriously those scones were to die for! We had a wonderful time getting away to Mermaid's Muse and we can't wait to visit again!

We had "happened" upon this while making a long weekend following a conference in Ashland. The BNB is also very centrally located to nice beaches, hiking, and walking distance to great dining. Furnishing were older but charming and everything you need is provided. Only downside I experienced was the shower water running a little cold halfway through the second shower. We did not have the breakfast so I cannot comment on that. Overall, great place to stay!

Probably about a million times, I suspect…read more Now, if I were to tell you that spending a night or two at the South Coast Inn is like being "home away from home," do you think that you would believe me? Or simply roll your eyes and mock me for my being so trite? Well, I don't care if you react that way. Because you haven't been here, and so you couldn't actually know that this is exactly what the South Coast Inn feels like. It's familiar and fun, in a family-friendly, come make tea in the kitchen, sit down on the living room couch, watch the sunset on the front porch sort of way. Michael will greet you each morning in the kitchen, maybe his mother will tell you tales of life in Fresno, and Sheryl will have decorated the rooms to suit whatever holiday it happens to be. For us, it was Christmas, and the trees and displays were better than at home - bigger, more elaborate, and no fruitcake or spiked eggnog in sight (but maybe they were just hidden in the office). The staircase has that comforting wooden creak, the curtains are lacy and white, the beds are fluffy and warm, and the walls are hung with pictures that would not look out of place at your Aunt Lil's, if she lived on the coast of Southwestern Oregon, which I'll bet she does not. The food is fresh and flavorful, the neighborhood is quaint and quiet despite US-101 being so close, and the surrounding garden is filled with flowers and camelias and azaleas and lots more in-between. You can while away hours on the porch, read by the fire, meet new people at the table, or just sleep long and deep in a room filled with lighthouses. Try doing that at Aunt Lil's. A home away from home, bed and breakfast style. Get used to it!

I loved this place!!! I didn't realize it would be as amazing as it was until I got there. The grounds were beautiful. The interior was pretty and organized with unique and antique decor. We stayed in the African suite. It was cozy and extremely comfortable. We didn't have time to use the jacuzzi tub, but it looked spectacular. The complimentary sherry in the decanter was extremely classy and the perfect nightcap to our evening. The long deck was amazing to see the fog roll in and the sun come up. The sounds of the fountain were very relaxing. David was so accommodating and friendly. It is obvious that they take pride in giving their guests outstanding experiences. David's breakfast was so delicious and gave us the fuel we needed for a day of hiking at Redwood. He also gave some recommendations based on his experiences in the area. My only regret is that we didn't arrive earlier so we could have spent more time there. We didn't arrive until late. I highly recommend this place. I was so impressed by the room, service, grounds, and breakfast. Thanks David!!
