It's not the vast experience she has or her long list of patients (it quite busy during the evenings) or the friendly and warm inviting feeling I get when I enter the front office but it's the Doctor's approach to all my concerns, queries and her understanding that makes her an outstanding Doctor. I first came to her when I had injured my left arm while lifting weights. I had done such a bang up job that I couldn't even put on a shirt without wincing in pain. After my second visit, not only was I able to move my arm but the pain subsided substantially. That was 2.5 years ago and I've been going to her ever since. I now see her once a week for maintenance !

It's a free event offered to all expectant and new parents. I spent the bulk of yesterday (10:30-3:30) there, and spoke with so many specialists - psychotherapist, nutritionists, massage therapist, lactation consultant, baby goods distributor, pre/postpartum fitness instructor, and of course Maya the chiropractor was there. Everyone was sincere and quite pleasant to chat with. There were workshops held each half hour, and rooms to breast/feed in and for babies/toddies to play in, in the interim. It was a really worthwhile experience, both times that I went. I think it's amazing, that this wellness clinic would do this for an expectant/ new parent community. ~ They are near Eglinton X Yonge st. If possible, I'd recommend taking the TTC there, OR there is indoor parking just west of a green P where the daily max. is $12, as opposed to the nasty $22. that I ended up paying.

The woman who completed my ultrasound was extremely rude and condescending. I have a medical background and am aware that ultrasounds can't pick up much in early pregnancy but never in my life did I think I would be asked why I even came to the appointment and made to feel like I was wasting the tech's time. She told me repeatedly that it wasn't policy to show the partner images on the screen (even though he couldn't be in the exam room due to having an internal exam done) and went as far as to say there's nothing even there, you want me to show him a blank screen without a baby? Again, I understand working in health care can be tough and many people burn out but the unprofessionalism of this woman and her continuous eye rolling and complete disregard for the patient were shocking. As unfortunate as it is to let one person spoil what could potentially be a great clinic. I will never return to this clinic bases off of this one hugely negative experience.

I started massage therapy the same time. Jacob has been wonderful in getting me back to better health. I have bone cancer and I had a broken hip too, so the massage has helped getting my leg and hip more mobility. He is gentle but firm enough pressure. I am getting better flexibility in my leg going from a 45 to 90 percent bend in my knee. I would highly recommend Jacob to anyone who has an issue. They provide a consultation with you so you can tell them your issues and they will be able to explain what they can do for you. They offer 1/2 hour to one hour massages. I can't say enough good things about Lisa Kervin & associates. From a sore back or leg to sciatic nerve issues to any issue you have they will advise you if they can help. Since seeing Dr. Michelle the number of migraines I get has decreased significantly.
