Mascot spraying people with water, super fun.

My family had a great time enjoying the experience of race cars. We have to support this longest last running racetrack. They have great reasonable priced food, drinks, and plenty of parking. I will come back and enjoy another exciting Saturday at Riverhead Racetrack. Thank you for a great experience, I will definitely come back to support our racetrack.

Live on Long Island? Then you've probably come in contact with a few of its more well known landmarks. Ya know, The Montauk Lighthouse, The Big Duck, The Native American Chief. Okay, maybe that last one doesn't immediately spark a location in your mind, but for some, that mention immediately takes you to Riverhead Raceway. Personally, I've only been to RR twice, but I can count (on more than two hands) the number of times I've gazed up at that giant chief statue while driving down Old Country Road in Riverhead. But this review isn't about that big ol' fella (even if he's part of what makes Riverhead Raceway unique). This review is about a fun night with family and friends watching plenty of vehicles turn left (and sometimes other directions!). For a $30 entrance fee ($10 for kiddies), you'll get a night filled with so many different races and events. Seating is first come first serve in classic metal bleacher style so get there early, sit back (not too far back), relax, and watch as stock cars, modifieds, late models, and even school buses (we watched it!) zoom around the raceway track. For anyone who never (or ever) wanted to experience a NASCAR race, this is a nice introduction until you can witness the professional thing. Now I won't sit here and tell you Riverhead Raceway is a five star vintage/classic icon of Long Island. I mean it totally deserves the four stars its receiving, but there are some factors that are still a work in progress. It was great to see (on my most recent trip) some bathroom remodeling. Also the slight improvement in food options was nice to notice as well (though you can always bring in your own grub which is actually part of the fun). Yeah, RR is a little behind the times, but they're getting there...slowly. Overall, Riverhead Raceway might not have a lot of glitz and glam, but there's plenty of fun to be had. I'm sure I'll be back again sometime soon (perhaps next summer) to create another uniquely memorable evening on Long Island. You should come too because then that list of well known landmarks will grow just a little for you.

A fun evening watching the cars. Staff was extremely pleasant. Food was what you expect, reasonably priced burgers, hot dogs, etc.

In dire need of a moped helmet, I pulled in to browse around (I hope my folks don't read, but at least I'm practicing safety first!). Also, from all the super nice ATVs lined up outside, I couldn't wait to see the rest of their bikes, jet skis, etc. To be completely honest, I was a little hesitant walking in, as I sort of expected a tough sell on price points beyond my budget. I only say this based on my previous experiences at car dealerships, but what I experienced at Maximum Motorsports was nothing of the sort. I got to browse literally the entire store without anyone looking over my shoulder. All of their employees are super chill and down-to-earth yet very knowledgeable and are around if you need extra help. Shoutout to one of the managers, Tommy, who noticed me looking a little lost and confused in the helmet section (what an awesome inventory, by the way!). Without any pressure whatsoever, he really helped me narrow down some options based on my budget, own personal preferences, and riding styles. He even searched in the back to locate an amazing helmet that happened to be on clearance sale. He scored me such an awesome deal off the original sticker price that I was able to purchase some great riding gloves and even an extra part that I needed for the fuel tank. We shared riding stories and even showed me a couple of photos of his own personal builds. I love meeting people that are passionate about what they do, and Tommy definitely knows his stuff. On the way out, I took a liking to one of their 2023 Kawasaki bikes, the Z125 PRO. With end-of-season discounts and rebates, it was only about $2,500 or so. Such a great deal for such a beginner-friendly yet fun modern bike! I don't quite have the space, but it's definitely on my radar down the road. It's an easy 5/5 from me!

Danielle who did my loan paper work was a nightmare. Spent the hole time telling me how her and the owner do drugs in hotels and she was having trouble with my loan paper work because she's new. Told me mac wouldn't help her because he had a thing for her but found out she's messing with the owner. Had to redo my paper work 3 times and when I finally left still got a call from the bank for mistakes she made. The the zx6r I bought had a recall and they told me my parts weren't there till kawasaki told me the day they where delivered and I told them I knew they had the parts and I threatened to leave this review. Now a few months later and the bike has a recall for the same issue with a do not ride order. Which is Kawasaki fault not there's but I asked for a letter stating there's no fix and john who works in service tells me he can't give me a letter because he has no time to write one which is a lie because he spent more time talking to me then it would of taken to write the work order. After telling him I didn't need the letter I recorded the conversation in which he clearly says theres no fix and that I can ride the bike its not serious just going to be another check. He kicked me out of the store and told me I'm not welcome there as a customer anymore. Avoid this place at all cost they only care about the sale especially for a mechanic to tell you go ride the bike its not serious when the engine can seize at any moment. Which i have on recording! They also didnt pay my loan of when they were supposed to. When I called to tell them its been a month and the bank is calling me they made a 500 dollar payment to my bank. Instead of paying it off in full. Which I was giving a first service free for the inconvenience but I literally have had to fight to be treated decent at this place since they sold me the bike.

You can't move, you can't see around you. You rely strictly on your spotter. But more importantly.... Rusty Wallace asked for my feedback and even gave an email for complaints. This was my reply.: My husband was in significant pain for his whole ride of 10 laps.  He told me later that he almost bought 20 more laps, and boy was he glad he didn't.  The pain was unbearable. He was hyperventilating at one point.  He clearly told the guy that the car was too small, and they simply told him "oh well, all the cars are the same". The seats were literally poking into his rib cage and the steering wheel was literally pressed into his stomach.  Naturally he had difficulty steering the car.  His arms were unable to move from his sides. He is 6' and 215# and clearly fell within your guidelines of height and weight.  His chest and waist are well below 52".     Additionally, many of us in the stands felt his car was a dud and had problems.  #10. The "plain" one without green design on it.  It had already spun out twice in former laps with other drivers and the rear end was shaking. When he accelerated, this car barely moved.  He was passed by everyone including those side by side accelerating at the same time as him.  Another driver after him didn't fit in the car, and was moved into another car.  And when my husband saw another person driving this same car after him, unable to get this car to accelerate well, his response was.... "This guys putzing around".  I will never pay to use rusty wallace again.  I will not allow any of my 4 boys to do this experience with you, Nor will I ever recommended your company.  It's insane you're representatives would encourage a human to be in severe pain.  After his ride he told another rep of his pain and difficulties and they just threw their hands in the air with their clipboard and told him, "oh well, he had the same problem".  How incredibly rude.  Now you should know, my husband is not new to racing or cars.  He's been doing it since the late 60's and was previously part of a pit crew.  Hence the reason we thought he would like this.   But to knowingly inflict pain on another human being is just downright mean and incredibly inhumane.  Of course I have it all on video because we have been exited about this and wanted to record a memory. Some memory. . ADDITIONALLY, another patron asked about this company and this particular raceway on Rusty Wallace Facebook page. I gave him this same opinion. Rusty Wallace deleted my negative feedback and even blocked me from further commenting. And I still have not heard back from their company either. It took about a day for the rib pain to subside on my husband. This is an experience better suited for smaller thinner men like horse jockeys.
