What is now the North Fork Car Wash is perhaps one of the worst car washes I've ever been to. No clear direction when you pull in, and the price is outrageous: $71 for a car wash is absurd! They completely removed the human element from the car wash too - it's now a drive through which I was utterly unprepared for, no one is available inside for any snack purchases (the two vending machines were out of service), and my car has now been sitting unattended waiting to be cleaned for over 15 minutes while I wait with no one giving me any idea of when it'll be started, let alone finished. Stay away!! This location was never great; now it's abysmal. The new ownership should be ashamed. read more

This car wash is now a drive through. They were closed for a long time to renovate, but it is not clear what, if anything, was renovated. Now, you drive through and no one does much else -- even when you have paid for services like tires cleaned. They just don't do it. I have called and e-mailed many times and they are unresponsive. Also, the tunnel you drive through with your car looks like it could fall apart at any time. read more

Extremely slow. They didn't give directions to you. Wasted an hour and the price is ridiculous.

This was a terrible and expensive experience. It's basically an overpriced DIY. I will never come back here. $64 and my car looks awful... and the bathroom was DISGUSTING. Whole place needs to go read more

To be fair, I guess I decided to get a car wash on the same day of the week everyone else did after the snow we'd had a few weeks back. I joined a line of other gross looking cars waiting to get washed, on the "non-member" line (which was moving just a smidge faster if I'm honest). There were around 10-12 cars in front of me, but the line was moving and there were a ton of staff members working so I figured, how long could this take? Cut to 50 minutes later, and my car finally arrived at the beginning of this line to be serviced. Why did I continue waiting in line? Dear reader, I was boxed in. There was no turning around. No asking the 10 cars that had joined the line behind me to kindly back up. No, we were all in this together now, for better or worse. All of this waiting would've been fine if this car wash had been 1. Reasonably priced or 2. Thorough. An hour and a half later, I'd paid $40 for the inside and outside of my car to be cleaned, and left with streaks all over. Three stars because the workers here are working their absolute butts off... but when the line is this insane the pressure to just get cars off the lot is too high. read more

Overpriced. $52+tip. $57. 53 minutes. No help. No supervision. Crazy. Never again.

Don't come here unless you have nothing else to do with your day, extremely slow even for exterior only. Wash was fine but not worth the wait.... Over 2 hours read more

Closed again without notice when I got there today. This time looks to be for an extended period. No indication when they will reopen. Nothing about the closing on their website. Access to their Facebook page is restricted. Not a good value for the unlimited package subscribers. read more

Riverhead Auto Wash - Google screen shot today. - Auto Detailing Near Me - Riverhead, New York

Probably the worst car wash I've ever been to. Still waiting for them to do the inside of my car. Been a half hour. Be smart don't ever come here. Worst ever under new management now it's the North Fork car wash. Don't waste your time. Forget about the 53 dollar basic wash price. Horrible!!!!!!! read more

0 STARS! I arrived at this car wash before their 8 AM opening time, expecting to be among the first served. However, they took three other cars ahead of me while I waited. When it was finally my turn, I requested the Platinum package, but they charged me for the Bronze package instead. The lack of organization and poor customer service were unacceptable. I will never return to this place again. read more

New owners kept the old pricing (46 dollars for the silver service) but reduced the cleaning staff by 2/3. I brought my truck in for a wash yesterday, Thursday at 2 oclock and didn't get out of there until 4:30, 2.5 hours. The owners don't care about your time, cancel your monthly service like I did, they're penny wise and pound foolish and will lose money in the long run. read more

This car wash is a rip-off. I paid $83 for a full wash and they gave me back my truck dirty. I went back a second time, they only spent about 10 minutes on it and it came out the same. Trash under the seats, dust everywhere. Terrible service, don't waste your money here because IT'S NOT WORTH IT. read more

I just left there...Absolutely, the worst car washI have EVER been to. The Boy Scouts would have done a much better job. I used to go to this carwash when in Riverhead, they had always done a good job. Under new management now.The car wash kept breaking down repeatedly. The results were abysmal. I spent 2 more hours at home and more tomorrow.I tried 10s time to call , no-one answers the phone. I would highly recommend Miller place or Middle Island are so much better. Rich Anderson read more

Ridiculous wait. Guess what? Wheels are part of the car. They were filthy after going through wash. Won't see me again. Live and learn.

So I went to the car wash just now. Paid $54, tipped $5 to the vacuum guys, tipped $5 to the finishers. Sat for 40 minutes, no one touched the car. I unfortunately had to leave. Make sure you have at least an hour to spare when you go. I know they'd like to have more employees, but you know. read more

They did a great time washing and cleaning the inside at $45 the silver is a really good value compared to other places I've been. Will return read more

3rd car on line and I was here over 40 minutes. You go to a car wash to save time. I could have washed it myself and saved $20 and been done before them. read more

paid 61 .00 for a car wash today July 21, 2025 worst car wash. left the car to dry in the sun for 15 minutes. Left it to be cleaned on the side 15 minutes. Young lady attempts to dry and spray wheel polish to 3 cars the same time. i got there at 12 and had to leave by 1:15pm. it was the worst experience i have ever had at a car wash. I was even to pissed off to go inside and ask for my money back. i should go back for a refund. guads100k@aol.com unsatisfied customer. ps. i have been there several times and was satisfied with the service. this time was the worst. I will tell everyone i know how horrible it has gotten read more

Don't go there unless you have an hour and 45 minutes to get your car washed. Terrible experience.

New owners thought it would be a good MONEY GRAB for them to sell memberships that result in people with the monthly car wash "package plan" to go FIRST in front of people who GOT THERE FIRST just because they subscribed to a monthly wash plan so now people who don't have membership even though they are paying FULL PRICE for a car wash now have to WAIT for the membership people to go first! Total bullshit! First come, First Served! One day I took my car there when not too many cars were there but then cars started coming in after me and even though they vacuumed my car it "sat" while the memberships went before me! I counted 5 cars that went into the wash before me! I don't have that kind of time to waste and their new scheme is unfair! I used to have a monthly plan called EVERWASH before business was sold and ended up canceling it because I didn't use it every month to be of benefit so I was LOSING money and those owners didn't play the game the new owners are playing and business was great for them as car wash always busy, there was no need to play the membership game! NEW OWNERS SHOULD GET RID OF THAT BS THEY ARE PULLING. I will now go elsewhere as my time is valuable and won't be unfairly treated as a second rate customer! I hope this backfires in their face when people realize they are wasting money on memberships and cancel them and now are considered second rate customers too! GET RID OF THE MEMBERSHIP PREFERENCES! FIRST COME FIRST SERVED! I am finished with that car wash! GET RID OF THE MEMBERSHIP PREFERENCES! FIRST COME FIRST SERVED! I am finished with that car wash! P.S. All around your car the ground is very slippery from the tire stuff they use and it gets on the bottom of your shoes and now your foot slides off the gas and brake pedals, do something about that! read more

Excellent wash I would come back anytime, the attendants go above and beyond. I signed up for membership

Don't go there unless you have an hour and 45 minutes to get your car washed. They had four people cleaning cars seems like they cut the staff tremendously. Customers were getting in their cars before it was even done and driving off. They had cars in the wash bay stopped mid because the line was backed up. highly recommend using a different car wash. place used to be great I regret purchasing the monthly wash. read more

i went to car wash today my mats in the back seat was not clean and the floors was not vacuum at all

it's ok but the cashier reaks of marijuana. I got high just exchanging money. and the reception area is a disaster

Ass hole customer service. They do not have enough help for car cleaning... paid $80 for a complete clean... have one guy cleaning car and I think I have been here for almost 2 hours. Someone in Riverhead needs to give these guys competition . read more

The new owners obviously don't care about their long time customers. After 5 pm, even though it stays light out till 730pm it is only express service( outside only) I have been a member for years paying 70$ a month unlimited washes. I will be canceling my membership! read more

I received a spotless car wash yesterday at Riverhead Auto Wash. Stanley Pierre is the best! He oversaw my Audi's wash and made sure I was happy with the quality of their service. I'll never go anywhere else! Thanks Stanley. read more

Car wash does not wash car. Spots all over the car still and bird poop. Also no listed prices inside for any merchandise so they can surprise you at the counter and make you have to awkwardly say, no too expensive. Staff is great. Owner is extorting the customers and staff read more

it took over one hour to get my car detailed and wash . I payed $60 to have a less than good job , I didn't realize they never touched my trunk and left dirt in the interior . very disappointed read more

Place is now officially a complete cluster f$&@. They've sold their "memberships" resulting in two lanes to enter. One move slowly and the other not at all. Problem is when you pull in you're likely stuck if someone comes in behind you and commits you to the "wait". At least an hour to even get to the guy who asks what kind of wash do you want. Another hour to get the wash and dry. Soooo backed up they are that the cars typically dry before someone comes along to "dry" it. Now you've got water spots for $50!!! One time I actually had a car hit me from behind in the wash tunnel because nobody came to drive my car out when done and the car behind me literally was pushed right into my car!!!! Didn't even know that was possible. Owner didnt believe it until he checked his own security cameras. You want this many washes then HIRE THE PEOPLE TO EFFICIENTLY get the cars in and out. If you can't get the help scale back in coaxing people into your location where they are captive for hours. A F$&@ing joke and mess this place is. read more

41.00 for a basic car wash and they didn't even clean the mats. Ridiculous and not a great job either. Definitely go elsewhere!

I don't know what the used on chrome around windows and the black trim panels on bottom of car but the chrome is dull and the black panels look grayed out. Even the car wasn't shiny as with other car washes. I bought the gold and I wasted my money . Had to take it to another car wash read more

This was the first time went here and let me tell you the customer service was amazing. They did the best job I've ever gotten from a car wash in my life. I highly recommend them. My car never looked that good. The new car smell even came back. I will never go anywhere else. read more

Would not go back, there's better car washes in Westhampton and Mattituck. Paid for the platinum package, got the lead deal. Streaks everywhere, didn't wash the back bumper even after I told the manager. Oil sheen all over parking area. Now I have to clean the oil off the car mat, brake and gas peddles. Save your money and time, go any place but here. read more

Went for silver package and I should have checked before driving off. Water stains on all passenger side windows and even left sand in back seat like they just skipped over that part of the seat read more

Now I'm giving them one star. I just had a reply from the owner stating that I wanted extra services for free. If you look at my receipt which comes to $33.00 minus the posted amount on the sign $26.00 that is $7.00 more. The only difference is on the receipt it list wheel brite & the silver sign list SEALER WAX & SIMONIZE TRIPLE POLISH. I'm not saying I want things for free, what I am saying is they used a bait & switch. All I asked for by the way was a regular exterior wash & tire shine. I'm not an idiot & it's not my first time in a car wash or this particular car wash. If I wanted the whole package I understand it's less expensive to get one of your packages. I'm also not one of those cheap people looking to nit pick over a couple bucks. I was genuinely shocked when I saw 33 bucks for a exterior car wash. I don't even enjoy writing negative reviews but when I see an owner of a business insult me saying I'm looking for free service I get annoyed. I think his reply reinforces the kind of place they're operating. read more

Last year I moved out East from Fresh Meadows, Queens. I now live in Eastport and pass another car wash in Westhampton Beach just to come to Riverhead to have my cars washed. There is no comparison with quality of the service. Riverhead Auto Wash does an excellent job. They dry all the door jams, the roof of my SUV, and trunk lid. The inside of my windows are clean every time. I always take the "Bronze" selection from the menu with my front mats washed. I have several cars in my family. They are all taken there to be washed. The girls who wipe down the cars are extremely helpful and thorough with their final touches. It is worth my driving the 12 miles just to come to RIVERHEAD Auto WASH. Keep up the good work!!!! read more

Words cannot explain how incredible and how amazing this car wash experience truly was. The owners are so nice and so friendly and they truly care about offering the greatest experience for you. My car was truly spotless and you could tell the workers really cared and put in so much time to really make sure your car is really clean. Nothing was rushed and their attention to detail was truly perfection. Hands-down the best car wash on Long Island New York and truly recommend this place to everybody. read more
