The only thing I did not care for, is she electronically sent my blood work to Quest lab, and my mammogram and colonoscopy orders to two other doctors. I have no idea if they're in my Aetna commercial PPO plan, so i had to go on online and check first. Ive never had a provider do this without first asking where i wanted to go.

And have abandoned their patients and prescriptions are no longer refillable. One must make another appointment with one of their physicians in order to get their prescriptions however they do not have appointments available for another year. I have called three times and only the office staff have attempted to assist me. I found out that my practitioner left from my pharmacy not from their practice. Nobody bothered to call me or to assist me with the next level of care. Personally by having a doctorate in physical therapy and working for , I would avoid this practice and definitely look elsewhere. I was referred to Emily Hawkins by my therapist, to get on new meds since I'm not sleeping/eating, and I feel awful all the time. Three different people came into the room at different times to ask me questions/ take my vitals, but the second woman (no idea who she was) spent at least 30 minutes with me and really took the time to understand everything I was going through, and she wrote down everything that hadn't worked for me in the past. After reliving my past trauma for the 100th time with a new doctor, she tells me Emily will be in shortly. When Emily did come into the room she was very cold and had ZERO bedside manner, she asked why I was there and then immediately started listing off all the meds I just told the other woman that don't work for me. I stopped her at each medication suggestion to let her know my history, and finally I got so frustrated that I just started crying. Imagine not sleeping properly for the past year, losing your entire life, and yet the person I trusted with my care can't even be bothered to read my chart before coming in with suggestions. I really don't understand people who get into healthcare that have no people skills or tact when it comes to dealing with your patient's emotional state.

That left me high and dry without a doctor or medical help during that whole time. Not even a virtual appointment. I finally made it to Mayo in Jacksonville and saw top doctors who determined my cough was caused by the heart medicine (Valsartan) that Dr. Rockower prescribed!! I had a complete medical run-around for over a year because he had a wrong protocol in place not to see or talk to patients with a cough. When the cough was gone after Mayo doctors changed my script, and I tried to go back to Dr. Rockower, the nurse told me that since I was gone over a year, it would be like I was a new patient and would have to wait months before I would be given an appointment. I found another doctor. I do not recommend Dr. Rockower for all of the above reasons. He only cares about himself.
