She said I needed to have more follow up appointments unrelated to my blood pressure (again, out of pocket) before she would give me a refill. I wasn't asking for scheduled narcotics, it was blood pressure medicine! She was extremely condescending and biased. Would not recommend this office!

I was referred to Emily Hawkins by my therapist, to get on new meds since I'm not sleeping/eating, and I feel awful all the time. Three different people came into the room at different times to ask me questions/ take my vitals, but the second woman (no idea who she was) spent at least 30 minutes with me and really took the time to understand everything I was going through, and she wrote down everything that hadn't worked for me in the past. After reliving my past trauma for the 100th time with a new doctor, she tells me Emily will be in shortly. When Emily did come into the room she was very cold and had ZERO bedside manner, she asked why I was there and then immediately started listing off all the meds I just told the other woman that don't work for me. I stopped her at each medication suggestion to let her know my history, and finally I got so frustrated that I just started crying. Imagine not sleeping properly for the past year, losing your entire life, and yet the person I trusted with my care can't even be bothered to read my chart before coming in with suggestions. I really don't understand people who get into healthcare that have no people skills or tact when it comes to dealing with your patient's emotional state.

Self Pay I first…read morechose Doctors Urgent Care because of its consistent five-star reviews. Each visit has been efficient, with wait times usually around 20 to 30 minutes or less. In today's horrific healthcare environment, prompt service and being treated with respect is scarce, which makes experiences and businesses like this stand out. I have now seen several of the rotating Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, and every one of them has been warm, friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. I don't know how many they have on staff but they seem to have enough to serve everybody who comes in and very promptly as well. Overall bedside manner is warm, friendly, and genuinely interested in helping you. I never feel rushed through an appointment. My most recent visit involved what I believed was an ear infection, but it turned out to be more of an ear pH imbalance and irritation issue rather than anything severe. It is the kind of condition that can often be treated with simple over-the-counter remedies, yet it still helps to have a qualified medical provider evaluate it properly and point you in the right direction. Obviously, urgent care does not replace having a primary care physician. However, if you have no health insurance, very often you do not have a primary care physician either. That is the reality for millions of people who are unemployed, between jobs, self-employed, or simply not earning enough to absorb the monthly cost of a health plan. In the age of AI and economic disruption, more people are slipping through the cracks of healthcare than many care to admit. I do not currently make enough money to comfortably carry a monthly insurance plan, and I am not old enough for the next chapter of life, which is the Medicare age. Until then, clinics like Doctors Urgent Care provide an important bridge with reasonable self-pay pricing and accessible care. In a healthcare system wrought with obsessively high insurance costs and pharmaceutical companies earning billions each year while many Americans struggle to afford the basic necessities of life... this business is genuinely helping to fill an important gap for many people, which is why those five-star reviews continue.
