In today's horrific healthcare environment, prompt service and being treated with respect is scarce, which makes experiences and businesses like this stand out. I have now seen several of the rotating Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, and every one of them has been warm, friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. I don't know how many they have on staff but they seem to have enough to serve everybody who comes in and very promptly as well. Overall bedside manner is warm, friendly, and genuinely interested in helping you. I never feel rushed through an appointment. My most recent visit involved what I believed was an ear infection, but it turned out to be more of an ear pH imbalance and irritation issue rather than anything severe. It is the kind of condition that can often be treated with simple over-the-counter remedies, yet it still helps to have a qualified medical provider evaluate it properly and point you in the right direction. Obviously, urgent care does not replace having a primary care physician. However, if you have no health insurance, very often you do not have a primary care physician either. That is the reality for millions of people who are unemployed, between jobs, self-employed, or simply not earning enough to absorb the monthly cost of a health plan. In the age of AI and economic disruption, more people are slipping through the cracks of healthcare than many care to admit. I do not currently make enough money to comfortably carry a monthly insurance plan, and I am not old enough for the next chapter of life, which is the Medicare age. Until then, clinics like Doctors Urgent Care provide an important bridge with reasonable self-pay pricing and accessible care. In a healthcare system wrought with obsessively high insurance costs and pharmaceutical companies earning billions each year while many Americans struggle to afford the basic necessities of life... this business is genuinely helping to fill an important gap for many people, which is why those five-star reviews continue.

I went in for sinus/ear infection and he wanted to give me an EKG for heart issues. I asked for 509mg ibuprofen because of my pain, and he recommended I take several over the counter ones and potentially mix it with Tylenol. The wait time was acceptable but the diagnosis was not.

The NP that saw me only looked at my throat, she completely ignored my obvious chest congestion, I was coughing quite a lot. She said she was going to get a Strep test. She came back and informed me that they were out of tests. Her professional recommendation was to go home,drink lots of hot tea with honey. Just in case she also sent a prescription in for a Z-pack. I followed her instructions,finished the meds, and was sicker. And I was charged $50 even though they were listed on my insurance and I have Medicare. I was actually worse so on the next Wednesday I went to Care Spot Urgent Care. There I was seen by a Dr. he was extremely concerned about the huge amount of congestion and inflammation in my lungs. He had the NP give me an injection of steroids in the office. He also prescribed a course of prednisone,a different antibiotic and a medication for my coughing. When I checked out I was not charged they said it was all covered by my insurance. I am happy to report that I am substantial better. Thanks to the proper care I received at Care Spot Urgent Care. I would not recommend Magnolia Family Urgent Care.

After nurses took her temperature (100.5) and swabbed her for COVID and RSV, we were placed in a room and utterly abandoned for three hours. During those three hours, not a single nurse or doctor came in to check on her, provide fever reducers, or give us an update. The only person who managed to walk through our door was registration--proving that collecting payment was a higher priority for this hospital than monitoring a sick child. I fully understand how triage works, but leaving a child in a room with zero clinical check-ins is medical neglect, not triaging. The only reason this review isn't a zero is Dr. O'Toole. When he finally came in after three hours, he was phenomenal. He took the situation seriously, immediately ordered the nurses to re-check her temperature, and went to strictly address the staff's failure to monitor her. By that time, her fever had spiked to a dangerous 102.7. It was only after Dr. O'Toole intervened and reprimanded the staff that the nurses finally started acting like they cared and administered medication. Dr. O'Toole is the only competent asset this hospital has going for them. The nursing staff and administrative process failed my daughter completely.

My five children do not mind going to the doctor at all, because Dr. Steed is kind and empathetic, ready to laugh and even have fun with his patients. His staff goes above and beyond to make office visits convenient, and everyone in the office is friendly and accommodating. If there is something concerning me, I send a message on my Spruce app, send pictures, etc. I usually hear back from Dr. Steed or a member of his staff in a very short time. No worried waiting.
