Using Katie's techniques and positive rewards in just 6 weeks Dolly is a different pup. She is inquisitive, playful and obedient. She loves the 'games' Katie has introduced and doesn't realize she is learning while playing. She even files her own nails. I would heartily recommend Katie and Empathy over Ego to anyone with a new pup they want to start out on the right path or even a mature dog that needs a little retraining. Thank you Katie.

Katie has helped make training fun and engaging, as well as extremely educational. It is clear how much experience Katie brings to the table, but she really individualizes each session to your dog's needs---all while holding space for the human members of the family and any challenges that come up. She even sends detailed notes after each session with additional resources, and they are so helpful to refer back to and mark progress. I wholeheartedly recommend her services to help the whole family strengthen their communication skills, and have more fun while along the way!

When they see their "dog bag" packed up they can't wait to get into the car. They come home tired and happy. They love it there. The facility is located on seven private acres far away from any busy streets. There are several large fenced in areas where they can play with their dog friends. There are no kennels inside but rather comfortable chairs and dog beds where all the dogs can relax. Like being home. Most important for me is how the staff treats my dogs as if they are their own. Very caring. Robin, the owner is so knowledgeable about dogs. She has helped me with my own dog's behavior. I trust her totally. Everyone at Meadowsweet communicates very well. On approval, I got to drive to Augusta to sorta "interview" dogs. Tigger, as I renamed him, chose me. He came up to me and put his head in my lap. The prior 2 dogs were a bit "standoffish." Once the selection was made, I found out that Maine GreyHound maintains responsibility for the dogs from cradle to grave. Had I been sick and could no longer care for the dog, they insist the dog be re-homed by them. They require the dog get a re-exam every 6 mos. They require that the dog never be let loose without a leash or a fenced back yard. They even organize search teams should your dog accidentally get free. As a retired race dog, he was fully house trained and even knew sign language commands! WowI Their Fostering system is second to none! I have never seen such strong stewardship for any other dog breed! Long story short, I had the 6 best years of my life with this beautiful brindle greyhound!
