Acero may have a visually pleasing appearance, but it suffers from significant structural flaws…read more Yes, looks can indeed be deceiving. If you enjoy shelling out over $2,000 a month to endure constant disturbances from neighbors above, such as loud conversations, heavy footsteps akin to Clydesdale horses, cabinet slamming, and even the unsettling sound of urine hitting the toilet bowl (yes, I've actually heard it due to the thin ceilings), and toilets from other units flushing, then this is the place for you! And a note to the potential residents that move into our old apartment, I hope you don't have children because be prepared to involuntarily overhear intimate moments and try to figure out how to explain what that noise is to little ones. Despite attempts to address these issues with management, you'll find little assistance. They'll demand video evidence, which, even when provided, leads to no action taken. Even noise persisting beyond quiet hours fails to prompt effective management response. Instead, they may admonish you not to retaliate with noise of your own, while turning a blind eye to unreasonable disturbances from others. In addition to the structural deficiencies and managerial ineptitude, you'll contend with the nuisance of dog feces scattered throughout the premises, courtesy of inconsiderate pet owners neglecting to clean up after their animals. Yet, Acero attempts to mask its shortcomings with trivial gestures like pizza parties and raffles, failing to address the fundamental issues plaguing community peace and quality of life.

The office building including the lounging area, the indoor gym, and the pool are kept in immaculate conditions, rain or shine. I had my clashes with Northplace but decided to give the place 4 stars for one major reason, and that is the amazing Maintenance Team. I have rented in various apartments in NYC, Chicago, and OC of SoCal. No place comes close to the courteousness and professionalism of the folks at Northplace. Their empathy and apologies are sincere, and they really know how to deliver the best resolution for problems at your unit. If you happen to rent at Northplace and run into trouble, my only suggestion is to be patient but persistent. They mean no intentional inconvenience. Best of luck.

I stayed here for a year while attending Willamette College of Law…read more I appreciated The Forum for: -Proximity to Safeway (literally across the street) -Proximity to Willamette (a short ~9 minute walk meant I got to wake up half an hour before classes) -Spacious interior (I had a 1 bedroom and couldn't fill it with furniture on my own) -Accommodating and friendly management (they were willing to work with me to resolve problems that arose with my payment) -Other tenants (I had no problems with noise from them and everyone was friendly) My only knock on The Forum was that ambulances regularly drive down Center street which was annoyingly loud at first. Although after a week I grew accustomed to them and now don't notice them. Still, if you have a choice try to get a non-north-bordering room.
