Ever go to an appointment and have to wait 45 minutes past your scheduled appointment time? If you're looking for that, go to River region vision source in Millbrook. I go there every six months and the last visit I waited 45 minutes past my appointment time. Had another appt last Tuesday and I watched 12 people go into the back, another 10 come in were agin seen and I was left alone. I asked why I was still waiting and they said they didn't know where my paperwork was but would look for it. After 10 min waiting, I left. The manager Sarah called me and wanted to rebook my appt. I asked why? I'm never seen on time. She said it is Doctor Vrostos policy that all patients are seen based upon their scheduled appointment time even if they come in 25 to 30 minutes late. What that means is if you have a 10:10 am appt and you come in 30 min late, say at 10:40 am, they are seen immediately. Pushing everyone else behind. The staff stood around gossiping for 20 minutes waiting for all these late people to show up and when they did, they were behind. What a dumb way to run a business. Sara the manager explained to me the Dr stands firm on that policy and refused to let me talk to the Doctor. She went on to say Dr V Never calls patients for complaints or issues. She then agreed that they did not respect my time or me as a patient. It's basically a waste of the Doctors time to deal with patients. I was shocked and could not believe she told me that but she told me not to wait around waiting for a call back because she will never call you back. So the manager was 100% correct a week has gone by and I've heard nothing from the doctor. You know the doctor is great, and if you only go once a year, maybe it's OK to wait that long out for an appointment. But when you go many times a year, it is totally disrespectful to be treated like that. I've already found a new doctor already have an appointment. read more

They have gotten better about answering the phone and calling back. We also did not have to wait as long and the staff was very friendly this time. We are much happier going after our last visit. read more

The staff is very professional and I received a very comprehensive exam from the technician and the doctor. I was especially impressed with the optician (Jinni Warren) who went out of her way to help me with my glasses even though I had purchased them elsewhere! I will definitely return to them for my future vision needs. read more

It has been multiple occasions now that I cannot seem to get an employee to answer the phone! Also came in a few months ago for a broken frame at the nose that was a "pressure crack" from the lenses being too big for the frame. Had to purchase another frame even though it was no fault of mine, and now have to go back to purchase a second frame for the same pair of glasses because they only trimmmed down one lens to fit the frame and not the other. Now the side they did not trim has cracked the frame from pressure! read more

I was greeted at the door with a smile! The doctor was able to explain details and clarify any questions. The selection of frames was great!

I needed to get a nose pad for my glasses and gave them a call to see if I need an appointment. They were very courteous and told me that it was not necessary that I could come straight in and have the repair done. I dropped by the next day and my glasses were repaired very quickly. I will definitely seek them out when I need a new pair of glasses. read more

ATTENTION MILITARY MEMBERS- I am fairly new to the eyeglasses world, but I'm pretty keen on customer service. I've visited River Region twice before and have had no issues. However, I made an appointment a month ago to get my color vision checked, and all was well until I showed up for my appointment. I was informed that since I have Tricare, I needed a referral from my PCM. To the staff's credit, they attempted to contact me to inform me of this, but when they called they did not leave a message. Also, they called the Friday before my Monday appointment, which is nowhere near enough time to get a referral, especially since they had an entire month to contact me. Also, most PCMs want to see the patient before they give a referral; more than likely due to the fact that there is a s such a high turnover of PCMs. I hope that River Region takes this into consideration in the future; this one incident cost me half a day's pay. read more

I'm so glad there's finally an office that's a locally owned office (#ShopLocal) (not a chain!) that has Saturday hours! The staff is great, and they got us in and out! They also have the newest titanium glasses available - for those of us who are prone to breaking glasses. read more

River Region Vision source was able to work me into an appointment the same day after waking up with some pain in my left eye. Turned out to be a corneal ulcer. They started me on antibiotic eye drops immediately and I'm already able to tolerate light somewhat. I had one 20 years ago and remember having to wear an eye patch for over a week due to extra sensitivity to light. This business has always been wonderful and after visiting a few years prior, I will always be at RRVS with myself and my family. read more
