My friends have held several parties in a large communal space with a kitchen/sink/fridge and plenty of seating + a pool table. This night we were outside near the pool in a separate side room near a large fireplace and TV. There's plenty of space and variety, and everything is very clean and modern. It's a great aesthetic and nice spot to bring your friends whether to your apartment or a community event!

I've been living here since October and I have nothing but raving reviews. Everyone in the leasing…read moreoffice has been hospitable and kind to me, especially since I have an emotional support dog. Samantha, Kim, Tom, and Lindsey are always willing to lend out a helping hand. I'm not sure why other people have left such negative reviews because they're simply false. Obviously, if you have a crazy loud neighbor, you will feel like your walls are paper thin. They're not. If you bring it to the leasing office's attention (which I actually had to do, so I know what I'm talking about), they will address it immediately and follow up with you. You don't really receive that type of service at other apartment complexes. The maintenance staff is also incredibly helpful and kind. I've only interacted with Dustin and John, but they were attentive to detail and just really nice. These people are coming into your HOME, so obviously you want them to be friendly. That wasn't my experience at Old Market Lofts, but that's for another time... The units are spacious and since my balcony faces the gym and indoor pool, I can also peak in to see if they're super crowded or not. I can't wait for the outdoor pools to open! Day drinking by the pool? Sign me up! This place has A BAR ON THE PROPERTY! Seriously, what more could you ask for? It's a great time and great deals. Apartment hunt and look at other places, but definitely give this place a shot. You'll probably end up living here and if you don't, we probably don't want you as our neighbor anyway... oh! And the rates are super affordable-at least compared to California (which is where I moved from). The leasing office worked with me a lot. I don't have a full-time job, but rather, three side jobs. Since I couldn't present a pay stub to them, I was able to email them a screen shot of my bank account, showing my checks going into my account. I haven't had that kind of understanding and "going the extra mile" from my previous residence. Ch-ch-ch-check Thomasville out!

The full lake view is about $100 more per month, but worth it. Crime is not a problem, but there was "a situation" this week. The management offered no details on what happened in respect of the owner's privacy. It created some anxiety on what exactly happened. Management, to their credit, called back the next day to offer a brief account of what happened. Now the pet policy. It works, even though it's not really enforced. There's a deposit per pet, must take your pet to a lab for a DNA sample. So if someone turns in unpicked up poop, and the DNA matches your dog, you'll get fined. Tenants are excellent about picking up after their dog. There is really no excuse not to, there are poop bag dispensers everywhere. It's not the size of dog, it's the type of dog. They do not have elevators, the staff here are not kind at all and they overcharge for what they offer. The inside of the apartments are pretty dark and have dark features/appliances which doesn't help. The bedrooms are tiny and the only thing large in the apartments are the laundry rooms. They have garages available for rent as well. Overall, overpriced for what they are offering. In a good area though and close to the main freeway.

There is still room for improvement in terms of updating the older apartments and all that. But so far, they're doing a lot better. Previous review: Good price for a lot of space. Started out nice enough, but I've found management to be unresponsive and dismissive of issues I've had in terms of maintenance and aggressive neighbors. Cindy, the assistant property manager, is lovely. She's mainly why I rented. I wish I had known she's wasn't the person I'd have to deal with daily. Michelle, the property manager, doesn't respond to phone calls and drags her feet on getting maintenance to do anything when the repairs may cost a little bit. Then maintenance will try to tell you the repairs you ask for are cosmetic in nature only, like you don't know a structural issue when you see one. It took over a year to get them to sort of consider issues with my windows not closing properly have having severe cracks in the window frames that I told them about when I took possession of the apartment. They only repaired them when I threatened legal action. If you get an apartment that only requires occasional, small repairs, it's a great place to live. But if you get a lemon of an apartment, I wish you the best of luck.

With the lake, the helpful managers/crew, friendly neighbors, wildlife/lake & amenities, it made renting feel like a space rather than just a room. Apartment living is always a challenge, but Westport made it as easy as it can get. Will miss the staff & George the goose. 10/10 recommended if it meets your budget.
