My small family and I relocated to Omaha from another country in mid-March 2013. We knew we wanted to be in the Dundee area and our preference was for a less "modern" type of apartment. Also, in our particularly case, we needed a "corporate" unit of relatively short duration (4 months) that was fully equipped - furniture, linens, kitchen/cleaning appliances/supplies. To make a long story short, Ambassador Apartments was perfect for us! We loved it! The location was excellent, we thought it was very tastefully decorated, and thoroughly stocked, and we loved the wood floors. The price also seemed reasonable to us given the size of the apartment and everything it came with - it was a top-floor, three-bedroom. We also appreciated the designated parking spot, and never had problems (thank goodness) of someone else parking in our spot, but we know of some tenants who did experience that. When the weather got bad (and it did get bad - tornado warning/hail) we saw the need to move our car to a paid parking that was covered. For the few months we were there, this was not a big deal, but perhaps for stays that are a year or longer, this would have been terribly inconvenient. The other inconvenience was that there was no door-man, concierge or even just a way for someone delivering mail or visiting to "buzz" a particular apartment unit. Again, had we been wishing to extend our stay there, this would have been more inconvenient than it was.
The Ambassador owners/staff were always so kind and professional and it was a delight to work with them. We had a minor water leak problem in our bedroom bathroom and that got resolved quickly and effectively. Also, my son turned out to be allergic to a sofa that was in our apartment living room, and when we discovered the cause, the staff promptly substituted it for another, no questions asked.
Considering location; the caliber of the living space; the staff; and the beauty, size and comfort of the unit as a whole, as well as our lovely neighbors, we highly recommend this experience to others. It's my understanding that only 2 units across the 3 buildings are equipped for the sort of "corporate" arrangement my family and I experienced, but it was well worth it. I imagine that folks who bring in their own belongings feel even more at home. We have since bought a home and moved out, but we still miss the good times at our apartment. Thank you dearly, Ambassador team! read more
