We traveled from Pennsylvania to Colorado for a week for my sisters wedding that was held down the street at a nearby dam. We stayed at both Rivercrest Cabins from 9/19-9/23. The property did not look like the photos that were advertised. The brush was overgrown and blocked all views of the river. We were unable to take any pre-
wedding photos due to the overgrown brush. There was a wedding held at the cabins the week before, so all of the contents of the game room, including the pool table, couches, etc, were left outside (in the rain) partially under the awning to the 2nd cabin, which made them unusable for us during our stay. There were multiple water leaks in both cabins from the kitchen sink, bath tubs, washer, and showers. Multiple of our items stored in the closet of the bedroom next to the bathroom in cabin 2 were wet. The hot tub was green when we arrived, we had to ask him to shock them before use. There was garbage in the beer cooler next to the hot tub that we had to remove before using. The smoker was full of mold, and the grills had melted utensils and old food In them. We had to scrub them clean before use. The corn hole boards were dry rotted and only had 1 bag, and the horseshoes game only had 2 horseshoes, when we we told him these games didn't have the right pieces the owner stated "I don't know what you want me to do". There were nails sticking out of the floor in house 1. The owner texted us and told us we had to move one of our vehicles due to it being in a "fire lane", then later seeing he parked his vehicle in the same spot. The dryer in house 2 had an obnoxious screech every time we used it. When we told the owner he said "it's fine, I just replaced the rollers." When we brought all of these things to the owners attention, he laughed in our face. The owner also lives on the property with 2 dogs and had dirty dog crates on the porch. This was not disclosed on his website. Other than these complaints, the cabins do have a lot of potential if the owner fixes these issues. I would definitely request updated photos before booking these if you're looking to take pictures while staying here. read more
