They also have a cafeteria, which I found by accident. The only complaint I might have is some of the activities on the second level were in disrepair or not well maintained. Still if you have kidlets, highly recommended. Don't forget if you have an aquarium membership, you get a discount!!

This place is absolutely amazing and so much fun for both kiddos and parents! Since we stayed at a nearby hotel, we walked about a block to the museum but there is plenty of parking available behind the building but I am not sure about the cost. We arrived just as they opened and the staff member that assisted us was super sweet and because it was my son's birthday, she gifted him with free admission which was a huge win for our budget. As soon as walked into the actual museum, the first thing my kiddos saw was the water area which of course the only thing they wanted to play with. The water area is setup in a way that kids can play with toys, learn about water conservation, build bridges, and have a wonderful time prior to getting into the nitty gritty of all the museum has to offer. They have aprons so my kiddos weren't drenched but just know that area gets a bit congested. There are sooooo many things to do from art to a robot car build and challenge to playing musical instruments. There is also a fun little outdoor space with a cool play area, fun artwork, and games. We had sooooo much fun and it is truly a wonderful place to try and learn new things. There is also an area for the tinier ones where they can "ride a tractor", take care of bunnies (stuffed of course), set the dinner table, cook, and do other household chores. I mean there is soooooo much to do and so much fun to be had. I cannot recommend this place enough and I promise by the time your leave, the kiddos will definitely have a blast as will you!

As the train climbs higher, the Incline gets steeper, which, for me, was exciting and scary at the same time. There's a recorded history that plays to give some background along the way. The views are beautiful both going up and down, so no complaints there. Where it lost points for me is the price. $22 per person (13+) feels pretty steep for such a short experience. It's 10 minutes up and 10 minutes back down. For our family of four, that came out to $88 which didn't feel like a great value. At the top, there are observation decks, a bar, and a souvenir shop with snacks and fudge. I was expecting more unique souvenirs related to the Incline or Lookout Mountain, but the shop's main focus was Moon Pies. Also, not having clear prices on items was frustrating. We had to ask about a couple of things. Overall, it was an unique experience. Not sure if we would do it again at that price.

It's a great ride to introduce friends to Chattanooga and to be able to look out and see the city and surrounding states. Make sure your friends don't have issues with height before you go. I had two friends, who were not prepared for how sharp the incline is. For some reason, they thought we would be on flatland once we got to the top, but the railroad is inclined the entire top stop. We enjoy looking out at the surrounding states and then going down to the bottom floor to look at how the rail system works. Don't forget to stop in the gift shop as they had some of the best shortbread cookies. I've been two other times and these were a new item. I'll definitely return if I have friends in town visiting!
