During my military service and many travel experiences, I never paid a taxi prior to driving me to my destination. I sensed because I was African American, he wouldn't move unless I paid him upfront. I needed to get back to work so I was at his mercy. Strangely, the two times before, I didn't pay until I got to where I needed to go. Moreover, he didn't give me a receipt. Mr. Jennings was very helpful and I appreciated the professional way. After that, I got a picture of the car that was picking up my godson which I passed on to him. The whole process was quite seamless. Cost was around $68 plus tax tip. I paid around $76 total.

Requested a quote for my ride a couple of days prior and never got one. Although the service was prompt, there were issues. The driver was holding her phone for navigation while driving, in the rain, and almost turned in the wrong way as she left Madison Blvd. for the airport. Additionally, she charged a rate higher than the stated rate on the website and fobbed off when I raised it. She also stated that she hoped for a big tip. The cab was shabby, with the tail pipe making a noise and the headliner was held up by about 200 thumb tacks. She also implied paying by card was a problem, hinting at cash. She had to call the owner and phone in the credit card info., which took time and seemed silly for a business. My cost was $35 before the $5 tip. You do the math.
