I love this place, it's just hard to get a hold of someone to find out what band will be playing.

They did the okra with flour instead of cornmeal and it was crispy on outside and soft and sweet on inside.. phenomenal. Raw plywood floors and dirt/gravel parking lot but reasonable and good af. You will have to wait for your food so don't be in a hurry but if you got the time, have you a drink and relax. It's all cooked fresh so it's honestly worth it. Take it from a Yankee. The place is great. I'd go for eating during the day. At night it's gonna get packed and rowdy.

Complete with Pool tables, electronic dart boards and plywood floors. We ordered a cheese burger, ham sandwich and fries. The Alabama Vs Kentucky football game was on two TV's and there were a couple tables of Alabama fans who were very enthusiastic. Heard a couple F bombs. We are in Alger so, whatever. Apparently, if Alabama scores, the waitress brings around a pitcher of something red and shot glasses. Everyone yells Roll Tide and takes a shot. Fun. We did not participate since we were on the motorcycles. Not a single mask was worn by anyone. We kept ours on as much as possible. All tables had ash trays. I think all the other tables were smoking. Which is a big turn off for me There is a sign in sheet when you come in the door. It appears this is more of a club than a public bar. See pictures. Food was good. I would come back, but not during the pandemic

While we were making the move from Texas to North Carolina we stopped in Tuscaloosa for the night…read more I wanted to try a restaurant downtown since it was our first time in this town and the Avenue pub came highly rated. Parking is manageable, but you'll need to find parking either in front or to the side of the restaurant. When you walk in it has the feel of a polished, upscale pub. We were seated and immediately ordered the bacon burger (which comes with a 1/2 a pound of ground beef with provolone and bacon). I also would recommend adding grilled onions to the burger and upgrading the fries to pub fries (seasoned fries topped with shaven Parmesan, mozzarella, and chopped bacon). The peppercorn ranch that is especially good and tied everything together. If you are looking for a craft burger spot in the heart of Tuscaloosa, I can't say enough good things about this place and it's absolutely worth checking out.

For food I ordered the chicken club and wife got the fish and chips. The club was good not amazing. Both the sandwich and fries were a little too salt heavy. The fish and chips were ok. Not the best but not bad. Again fries little to salt heavy. I'd go back if someone really wanted to eat there but wouldn't choose this place.

I wanted to love this place SO BAD!! There's an attached arcade!!…read moreAnd the staff was SO NICE and friendly and helpful and I loved the industrial, creative decor. But we'd spent the day at McWane Center and we were starving so we were there to EAT! The food looked gorgeous but it tasted very meh. The onion rings had too much breading on them, which I didn't think was possible, but here we are. The part of the breading next to the onion was mushy so that threw off the texture of the whole thing too. The burger was very much like a Whataburger. Even the lettuce smelled the same. I got The Standard and the bun of the burger was a little mushy (similar to Whataburger) and there was not much meat. For an $11 burger, I'm expecting more than a Whataburger. My middle kid likes everything on her burger and isn't picky at all and the loaded kid burger looked impressive but it was about the same as mine. Not awful, but not very good either. Very close to the same amount of meat. She's the queen of the Clean Plate Club and she only ate half. The fries were good but a somewhat too salty, the dip that came with the onion rings was excellent and we ended up using it for the fries. We had 2 adults and 3 kids and our meal was $63 before tip for 5 waters, 2 adult burgers, 2 kid burgers, a kid grilled cheese, and a basket of fries and onion rings (I thought I was ordering a "side" of fries, not realizing I actually ordered a basket and it was a lot of fries and onion rings). We don't mind spending money on good food, but the prices here don't align with what you get. No one was more disappointed than me, I've been wanting to eat here for FOREVER!!!

The bar was very busy but the bartender was very attentive. Great service. The ambiance was perfect for a corner bar downtown.
