Jay Jeter, the other therapists, and front office team have been exceptional. I know of a handful that are clients of theirs and we each continue to praise their professional demeanor. Christian who is part of the team there, makes us feel so special each time we speak with him. Very different personality than their former billing agent who they finally terminated. They are much nicer now being that negative voice is no longer a part of RBC. Jay also specializes with OCD as I had a dear friend go there for treatment. I did not have a good experience with this practice. I had a recent year long "therapy" experience with a practitioner at a CSB who claimed to be fully trained as a trauma therapist but was absolutely not so understandably I'm pretty skittish when it comes to trusting someone new. I explained this in the intake paperwork for Riverbend so I know they were aware. The online intake paperwork itself was super detailed. It asked me to recount the trauma I experienced while offering no emotional support which was pretty horrific for someone with CPTSD who has a lifetime of traumatic experiences. It took me over an hour to complete this paperwork and doing so left me feeling retraumatized, complete with nightmares & increased depression/anxiety/hypervigilance in the days afterwards. When the intake person called to schedule, they indicated that I would be seen by a student. I explained again about my negative experience with my previous untrained practitioner and said I'm not comfortable being seen by a student. The intake person doubled down and said I need to try the student. I politely declined again, reiterating my previous experience and trust issues and asking to be scheduled with a fully trained and licensed therapist. It's been over a month and not only did the intake person never respond to my last email, they never contacted me again to schedule an appointment with anyone. It's my understanding that patients have the right to request a fully trained therapist but not at this place. It was a student therapist for me or nothing at all. My experience with Riverbend left me feeling worse than I did before I contacted them. Im so glad I've found a really good trauma therapist since who agrees that the way I was treated by Riverbend was neither appropriate nor acceptable. read more

JAY JETER IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS. He literally saved my life!! I've been to at least 15 different therapists for 1-2 years each over the past 20 years and no other therapist helped me at all. Zero. Nada. In just a few months this man turned my whole life around and I can't say enough positive things about him. After he got me straightened out, I asked if he would help me work on my relationship. He said he usually doesn't do couples therapy, that he mainly treats anxiety disorders. I simply cannot write enough good things about Mr. Jay. It's almost like he instinctively had insight into my life without me having to tell him. I very highly recommend Jay Jeter. I've been seeing Jay for over 10 years. He is the best I've seen in my 28 years of therapy. He has helped me time and time again to overcome anxiety and depression through major losses in my life, job transitions, family turmoil, marriage issues, and personal struggles. I appreciate his kind yet gentle straight forward approach while giving advice. He provides endless tools and references to help and has an extensive knowledge of everything he speaks on. His ability to educate while comfort is incredible. What I love most is that he isn't a passive therapist just there to listen to your woes, pass you a tissue and waste your time and money. He actively holds you accountable to fixing the issues and in turn I am able to overcome huge obstacles in a short amount of time, which is what keeps me alive and coming back. I can't imagine a more compassionate and dedicated therapist. I've recommended him to several people and everyone has been equally as impressed if not more. DO NOT GO TO JAY JETER! Never in my life have I gone to a counselor so rude and disrespectful. He had and attitude as soon as we sat down in his office. He acted like we were wasting his time. My bf and I went in trying to work issues out in a our relationship he seriously listened to us for 10 mins and talked us into breaking up. We've never cheated on each other etc. just normal relationship issues. He literally kicked us out the door and tried to convince my bf to break up with me. I kept telling him I didn't want to break up I wanted to work things out and he kept saying no you'll don't need to break up. I will definitely be reporting him because he made things worse instead of better. He specializes in anxiety but made mine worse when I left. I went to counseling for help not to be told how to co parent when my bf and I separate. He does not need to be running a practice with that kind of attitudes with his utter lack of compassion for people's feelings. We went to a therapist thinking we were going to be helped not rejected. This was completely insane and I was in disbelief when I left. I please advise anyone DO NOT GO TO THIS MAN YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! read more
