Yumm. As I slowly continue my gelato journey in Milan, I ended up at this place that sold gelato either as one scoops, two or three. I didn't know a lick of Italian so I point blank chose pistachio and stracciatella gelato. The gelato is thick and less sugary than in the states. I really liked the pistachio and the stracciatella was even better. The place didn't have a lot of seating. Ended up taking a whole sofa by myself. read more

Rivareno è attualmente il mio gelato preferito a Milano. Vellutato, denso e ricco, è un gelato godurioso. Il mio gusto preferito è il Gran Torino, una specie di gianduia con granella di nocciole (descrizione che non gli fa giustizia). Oggi non l'avevano e ho ripiegato sul Cremlino Rivareno, ugualmente eccezionale. Arricchito con panna montata poi, la morte sua. If you're looking for delicious gelato, unique flavors in a beautiful neighborhood, this is the spot. They have several specialty flavors that make them stand out from other typical gelato places. My favorite is their mango, it's to die for! Their gelato is unique to me also because it tastes less ice-y and a lot more creamy compared to other gelato places. They use yogurt in some of their flavors and it tastes amazing! Would highly recommend! read more

Amazing gelato, and not too crowded like the ones around the duomo. I always get hazelnut (nocciola) and another flavor. This time I tried the melon flavor since its in season, and wow, probably one of the best melon gelato I've had. Super refreshing for the sunny day since its light and not too sweet. Tastes just like eating an orange melon, doesn't taste artificial at all which is usually what happens with melon. Come here to get gelato! read more

So I will admit my ignorance that I had no idea until I returned home that this was a chain. Never the less, this was among the best Gelato we had in all of Italy. We got the Alice (mascarpone cream gelato with gianduja freshly swirled in and the Melone. It's hard to go wrong with Melone, it was good just about everywhere we had it. But the Alice was amazing. The texture and balance of flavors were awesome. read more
