This is a smaller theater with less screens, but the amazing seating is an appreciated surprise in this smaller city. The lobby is still a bit outdated but they make up for it in the actual theater spaces. There are pleather, electric reclining seats that have cushy seats and armrests and have the spacious stadium seat setup that makes no head large enough to block your view (and good for distancing, if that's a consideration for you). This was the perfect spot to bring my kids for their first movie theater experience. The armrests move upward if you need some cuddle action with your kids or your honey. :-) Check online to see how many people have purchased tickets, pick your own seats for purchase, and definitely check out the discounted tickets on Tuesdays.

He paid 4 dollars for a lemonade refill and she gave him mellow yellow, and when he corrected her she refused to give him anything else. He even asked for just water and she refused. I dumped the drink out and went back to ask for the money or a lemonade and she REFUSED to help us and instead was so rude and ugly to us. She also gave my boyfriend cold and soggy fries so the food wasn't great either. She refused to help me get in contact with customers service. So disappointed with the fair staff this year. I grew up going to this fair and have a ton of memories here and for the staff to be horrible this year makes me so upset, I have had plenty of contact with people who have also had this experience this year and it's so sad to see something we loved as children become a place of frustration! If you're going to go eat I recommend literally anywhere else.

The museum tells the story of Oak Ridge's role in World War II and the top secret Manhattan Project. The way the museum is laid out tells the story in a chronological way where you'll begin by learning about how Oak Ridge came to be, its role in the war, and its role in nuclear research in the years since the hydrogen bomb was first dropped over Japan. Plan to spend about 2 hours here depending on how hands on you want to be. As you progress through the musuem it becomes more hands on and reminiscent of a children's museum where you can get hands on with science theories. The space has multiple exhibits, an introduction video, and gift shop. On certain days/times a bus tour is offered to the plant sites that will also include admission to the museum but I was not visiting on one of those days but would like to check it out if Im ever in the area on the right day.

The brick building is easy to see as it stands out from all the other more modern-looking buildings…read morein the area. Depending on which way you are coming, you may need to drive to the far end of the parking lot past the bakery to enter the lot. There is a closer entrance but it is angled for the opposite direction and not an easy turn. There are also several one-way lanes in the parking lot so you may need to drive extra to get to an open parking spot. We did find handicapped spaces close to the entrance, but you need to drive to the back of the lot to get onto the one-way lane that goes past them. While these are the closest spots, it is still a bit of a walk to the entrance of the building, although everything is nicely paved and even. Once you get in, the interior is bright and inviting. There are many centralized seating options throughout the interior, mostly high-top tables but a few normal tables arranged in cozy settings. There is a patio in the rear of the building for when the weather is nice. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The center is made up of all the various eating establishments. There is no specific seating for the individual restaurants, so you will order your food from whatever place strikes you fancy and then take the food packaged into To Go containers to a table in one of the many seating areas. Make sure you pick up utensils and napkins from where you ordered your food as there is nothing on the tables. We were there after the lunch rush so it really was not crowded at all. There were small groups of people wandering around as well as several eating a late lunch. We did notice the overhead background music was loud and made conversation difficult. I could imagine during lunch or the in evening the overall sound level would be high as the acoustics do not favor conversation. This is pretty much only a food court. We had heard there were various craft shops as well, but apparently those had all closed. While the food selection is quite varied, addition of something to do other than eating would make this a destination location rather than just a food stop. There is some renovation happening in one end, so perhaps other shops are coming in the future. Still, it is a clean location with great interior space and makes use of a building with a lot of history that was important to the area.

Needless to say I (as well as my Mom) was surprised that the Festival shifted to World's Fair Park. It is much BIGGER than I remember. I guess Market Square wasn't big enough to handle all these cool booths. Honestly it is much less "Fair Like" then the Washington County Fair in Hillsboro. No rides and unnecessary fried food. Mostly cool art, tons of crafts, and I was able to grab a cool shady spot to chill and write my review. I was really hoping to spot one of my old(er) friends from Knoxville while I was walking around. I don't usually last long at these festivals...my interest seems to wain fairly quickly, but people watching is fun too. And as for all the locals, well, you need to come see what you are missing. This museum is dedicated to the city of Farragut and it's early inhabitants, from the native americans to sprawling communities who eventually called the admiral their high school mascot. The civil war section is really small. It's umm.. well it's a wall, basically. And yet I stood there for over an hour. Inspecting. Reflecting. Going oh wow. Cuz what you don't realize at first is the museum and surrounding area is sitting right on top of an old battleground. Yup. I never realized that those two brick buildings that I drive past everyday are the very same ones depicted in old drawings of the battle. It's not uncommon around here but they've done *such* a good job retracing this. Really. And damn the torpedoes, now I know why I always pronounce Farragut like a spanish word. All the time. When I'm driving in the area. When I see it on a street sign. That's how I say it. Altogether now: "FARR ah goot". (just trill your R's for me, when you say it, okay?) Bring out the latin in you and watch your light bulb go off. Damn the torpedoes, what an inspiring story of an American dream and that anything can happen. And that doing the right thing is the only thing. Damn the torpedoes, this admiral is as about as badass and as humble as they come. If you are into naval anything this is up your alley. It's free. Come and pay some respect to the heritage of the Farragut area. You'll never look at that everyday road the same way again.
