This is a smaller theater with less screens, but the amazing seating is an appreciated surprise in this smaller city. The lobby is still a bit outdated but they make up for it in the actual theater spaces. There are pleather, electric reclining seats that have cushy seats and armrests and have the spacious stadium seat setup that makes no head large enough to block your view (and good for distancing, if that's a consideration for you). This was the perfect spot to bring my kids for their first movie theater experience. The armrests move upward if you need some cuddle action with your kids or your honey. :-) Check online to see how many people have purchased tickets, pick your own seats for purchase, and definitely check out the discounted tickets on Tuesdays.

If you are looking for an excellent, inviting theater program for your child this is the place. Get thee to Knoxville Children's Theatre to see the current play, The Reluctant Dragon. The whole cast is outstanding. The dragon is so funny, St. George and his vanity will make you laugh over and over. Glaston is charming and Woolchester is a stand out, not to mention that hair. What a fine production from the kids and Steve Sherman.

Depending on which way you are coming, you may need to drive to the far end of the parking lot past the bakery to enter the lot. There is a closer entrance but it is angled for the opposite direction and not an easy turn. There are also several one-way lanes in the parking lot so you may need to drive extra to get to an open parking spot. We did find handicapped spaces close to the entrance, but you need to drive to the back of the lot to get onto the one-way lane that goes past them. While these are the closest spots, it is still a bit of a walk to the entrance of the building, although everything is nicely paved and even. Once you get in, the interior is bright and inviting. There are many centralized seating options throughout the interior, mostly high-top tables but a few normal tables arranged in cozy settings. There is a patio in the rear of the building for when the weather is nice. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The center is made up of all the various eating establishments. There is no specific seating for the individual restaurants, so you will order your food from whatever place strikes you fancy and then take the food packaged into To Go containers to a table in one of the many seating areas. Make sure you pick up utensils and napkins from where you ordered your food as there is nothing on the tables. We were there after the lunch rush so it really was not crowded at all. There were small groups of people wandering around as well as several eating a late lunch. We did notice the overhead background music was loud and made conversation difficult. I could imagine during lunch or the in evening the overall sound level would be high as the acoustics do not favor conversation. This is pretty much only a food court. We had heard there were various craft shops as well, but apparently those had all closed. While the food selection is quite varied, addition of something to do other than eating would make this a destination location rather than just a food stop. There is some renovation happening in one end, so perhaps other shops are coming in the future. Still, it is a clean location with great interior space and makes use of a building with a lot of history that was important to the area.

They left a lot of the old industrial elements and superimposed an element of urban charm. You'll also find a unique outdoor seating area with a jumbo screen and lawn area. Needless to say I (as well as my Mom) was surprised that the Festival shifted to World's Fair Park. It is much BIGGER than I remember. I guess Market Square wasn't big enough to handle all these cool booths. Honestly it is much less "Fair Like" then the Washington County Fair in Hillsboro. No rides and unnecessary fried food. Mostly cool art, tons of crafts, and I was able to grab a cool shady spot to chill and write my review. I was really hoping to spot one of my old(er) friends from Knoxville while I was walking around. I don't usually last long at these festivals...my interest seems to wain fairly quickly, but people watching is fun too. Kinda reminds me of sitting on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan. Yup it always comes back to New York. Y'all come back now, ya hear?

There are differing categories of chalk art with winners are chosen at the end of the day (and labeled as such). There are food trucks and other vendors selling goods and often activities for the littles, and live music to enjoy. Just note that it gets crowded on the Sat. of the event and if you want to avoid that (and it hasn't rained, go the day after to enjoy the art walk without the heavy crowds.

And then on Saturday, the road was closed and the street was filled with local artists, vendors, a couple of food trucks, a moonshine bar, and two stages with a variety of musical acts. And I finally got to see my beautiful perform with a band he hadn't played with in nearly 7 years: thetheorizt, part of The Good Guy Collrctive who made this happen with the help of some lovely sponsors.
