As a beginner I asked if they offer beginner classes and was told by instructor that there is no such thing as beginner Pilates. Needless to say it wasn't the right fit for me. I felt like a complete idiot and failure being unable to do most of the routine. After reading the reply from ritual reform, there are a couple of things I wanted to clarify. I am indeed in the system and use my middle name on my Yelp. Also, the beginner class is an introductory class to show you how to use the equipment moving forward. There are no classes modified for a beginner or novice Pilates student on the regular schedule . thank you.

My core, booty, and overall strength have made solid gains since coming here. The classes can be intimidating at first, but I highly recommend working through that uncomfortable period. My…read moreplan was to go at least 30 of the 45 days and somedays I went twice a day to check out the class offerings. The studio is very clean and friendly. The prop room is organized and impressive! Most of the classes I attended people were really using a lot of the props provided...to help further a pose? or just because they were all high quality props and most people don't have them at home? I would say overall my time spent at the studio was time well spent! Most of the classes have a gentle/restorative vibe and they were accessible for every level and age group. Yoga Village would have gotten a 5 star review from me if some of the classes were a little more strengthening/power style yoga (is there a name for that?) Being able to sample all the classes with the great introductory deal was very cool...I was able to quickly determine which classes would be best for me and to see if I would connect with the instructor. Connie's classes were by far the most organized and clearly taught, I knew she had been teaching for a while because her classes were so well attended and she kept a very nice flow and is very knowledgeable and kind. I also enjoyed the Pilates classes and the Monday night Hatha class. Everyone I met at the studio was kind and respectful of your practice. The overall vibe was very nice. The studio is a little tucked away in a newer/office type building and is close to Alphys Broiler.

I had a VERY disappointing experience with the management at this studio. (Josiah…read more Campos) For a couple of weeks, I had been communicating back and forth with someone at the front desk specifically about purchasing an eight-class pack--not a monthly membership. Unfortunately, I was instead charged for a month-to-month membership for eight classes per month. When I called to explain the misunderstanding, the front desk staff member was kind, understanding, and told me that it shouldn't be a problem to issue a refund, but that I would need to speak with the studio manager. Unfortunately, my experience with the manager, Josiah Campos, was completely different. I found him to be dismissive and unhelpful, and he refused to refund the charge or offer any reasonable resolution, including putting the classes back on my account. Given the prior communication with the front desk and the clear misunderstanding about what I intended to purchase, I was very disappointed by the way the situation was handled. The front desk staff I interacted with were wonderful, but my experience with the studio manager left a very negative impression. Good customer service is often about how misunderstandings are handled, and unfortunately, I did not feel that this situation was handled professionally or with any effort to retain a customer. I would encourage others to be very clear about what they are purchasing and to carefully review any charges from this studio.

I called and called no one answered. Finally a girl answers the phone- I tell her my situation, I'm moving, I need to cancel. She says okay, give me all your information and I'll relay this and get it canceled. She assured me there were no more steps for me to take. I got a charge on my card the next month. I called back and explained and they denied I ever tried to cancel. I went in person to confront them, the lady helping me was so difficult and made me feel awful. She said it was my fault for not coming in person to cancel and they will not refund me the month I got charged for. I still think about the way I was treated when face to face with that lady. I'm mad I didn't pry more- such a bummer.
