It is a little cramped, but when you gotta get gas.. where do ya go? The lay out is very simple and like most Safeways. One side has the produce the other had the Deli. The Bakery is located next to the Deli... and everybody is so helpful! The bakery is always so gorgeous! They have a case set up with gorgeous, extravagant looking cakes and then some set up outside the case to grab & go. Don't be afraid to ask them to write on your cake! It's free for that special moment! The bakery tables extended toward the back of the store.. they have a large variety of baked goods set up for any occasion. Gorgeous!! I like the selections for the hot case. Hot food in an instant! I like their fried chicken.. I could eat that for days!! They do an amazing job keeping everything clean & welcoming & fresh! Starbucks is just a few steps away. They are always working hard & fast. My favorite barista, Rhapsody, always makes my drinks too perfection. I got to talk with Esmeralda, in the floral department. She was working hard helping customers and putting together arrangements... she handed off a beautiful arrangement to a customer and he was so happy... It made me happy seeing someone leave with a beautiful work of art. Everything in between is simple to find and well organized. I love coming to Safeway because the interaction with the employees is quality service. They are more genuine and I feel like I could make friendships vs. just being a passing by customer that is here daily.

They show zero respect to their customers medication needs. New medications don't get counseling and their attitudes indicate they're doing you a favor spending your money with them. This pharmacy is ridiculously incompetent. On Friday I called the phone number ON MY PRESCRIPTION…read moreBOTTLE to request a refill and the computer told me it would be ready for pickup the following Monday after 11:00AM. I went in on Tuesday to pick it up and after standing in line for 15 minutes because there was only one person working the register, the technician told me it "wasn't ready yet" and they needed another thirty minutes to get it ready. I said what do you mean, 30 minutes? I ordered a refill on the computer line and it told me I could pick it up on Monday after 11. She said, "Well, that's the automated system. We'll get it started and it'll take 30 minutes to get it ready and you can wait for it." I said "What do I have to do to get a refill if calling the automated line doesn't do it? Do I have to come in here and ask an actual person for a refill in order to actually get a refill? What's the purpose of having a phone number to call to get a refill if that's the case?" She was not able to process what I was saying. She kept saying "It'll take 30 minutes and you can just wait for it." I said to forget it, this is ridiculous and I turned away to go and she tossed out a snotty "Have a nice daaay" as I was walking away and it made me so mad I got the manager involved. She was all "It's our fault, we're trying to catch up since Rite Aid closed, we're short-handed because no one wants to come and work for us because we're not offering enough pay, when you call the automated line you're the last in a line of 800 people then when you come to pick up your prescription we move you to the front of the line and fill it." Okay, so you're not really "working" on my refill and you need another 30 minutes to finish it up, you're actually waiting until I come in to pick it up to start it. I asked her the same question I asked the technician, if calling the automated line is pointless, what do I have to do to get a refill? Actually walk in to the pharmacy and request it from a person, at which time you will start working on it? She went back to the pharmacy and went behind the counter to fill the pill bottle and brought it to the cash register. As I was paying for it, she told me that since I was so unhappy with them this would be the last refill they would fill for me, like I hadn't already figured that out for myself. As I was driving home I got a text from Walgreens telling me my refill was ready to be picked up, good grief. They'll be going the way of Rite Aid any day now.

They had a large assortment of Suizie's greeting-cards and pseudo-Hallmark style "Thank You" paraphernalia. Parking was not an issue, we walked. They accepted my five dollar bill that I handed them without problem.
