Del Paso Blvd. Location This store has been in decline for years now and it is only getting worse. It is not made clear if this store is closing; however, it sure looks like it is inside. The shelves are empty and have been for some time. They no longer sell ice cream and majority of the cooler section is empty. The only reason I go to this store is to use the pharmacy. If you go to this pharmacy make sure you never sit in the seats to wait as they are so nasty dirty. This is not surprising as the store itself is pretty dirty. I just do not understand why..... it's not like they are busy stocking shelves or doing customer service. So Sad! read more

I bought a gift card here which happened to be used already. This place is low class.

This is listed as one of the places that is legally required to recycle cans for customers. I took my cans in and was told that they "didn't have enough help" to recycle my cans. I offered to count them for the manager to save them time. She declined my offer. I told her she was legally obligated to take my cans, she repeated her line. I contacted Cal Recycle and they confirmed that there is no reason to reject my cans. Just letting the manager know that I've filed a complaint and Cal Recycle is investigating and the store is subject to a $5000 fine :) read more

Find a different pharmacy. These people blow up your phone with automated calls saying your prescriptions are ready but then when you get there and wait in the long line while the 1 pharmacy tech chats away with everyone only then to find out no it isn't ready and won't be available to pick up 1 or 2 days due to Rite Aid "policies". This isn't the best pharmacy but it is the best in natomas. I have been to many other pharmacies in natomas and Riteaid has exceeded customer service and reliability most of the time. The staff is friendly and I believe where they struggle the most is staffing. It's seems like they have had high turn over which likely leads to some of the small issues I have had with prescriptions not being ready on time. read more

This is strictly for the ice cream only -- customer service is always great from the lady at the counter! She provides us with great service from beginning to end! I love that the ice cream tastes awesome for a great price! I could purchase 5 cones/cups for the price or 2 from Coldstone! I like this place a lot. This is my first time into this store and will be the last time I set foot in here. I am so appalled by the older cashier woman(#64488313),and how disgustingly rude and disrespectful she was/is to my son. I came in with my son and bought 2 items. While checking out my son was next to me showing me all the candy. The cashier woman asks him to read what candy he was pointing to. He doesn't respond. She looks at me and asks me if he can read. I replied "no, he knows his alphabets but were working on reading he just turned 4." She had this weird expression on her face..I dismissed it and went on my way. As I'm walking out the door I can hear her say "Can you believe it, he can't read!" I was picking up my son and turned around. I see her through the window talking to a male employee and repeats "Can you believe that boy cant read!" And points at my son! At this point we're looking at one another. I hugged my son and left. Lucky for her, my son was present. Which kept me from walking back in there and going bad on her. That wasnt an example I wanted to set for my son. Again my son is only 4 years old, I don't know many 4 year olds that read very well. But how are you going to ask me if my son can read, then belittle him to other people? What is wrong with you? You are absolutely repulsive and shouldn't be working with the public if you are that nasty. What if my son was older and had disability? And you're over here talking crap about him within earshot! Was it your point to try and embarrass him make him feel insecure? You should be ashamed of yourself. But from what I encountered today, I stongly believe that woman is incapable of feeling any shame. read more

This is one of my local favorite " drug stores" to be able to run into for something quick. They carry just about anything you'd need from cosmetics, car oil, liquor, and ice cream. Say what?! If you grew up going into the drug stores that sold " thrifty brand" ice cream ( i think it was .25-.35 cents a scoop) THIS is your place. This location still sells ice cream by the scoop. Its not .35 cents, but its still those yummy flavors, from cherry vanilla, to chocolate malted crunch. If you're so inclined to want more than a scoop, the freezer filled with packed 1/2 gallons is right there. The 1/2 gallons are often on sale and a much better deal. (2 for approx $7.00, and the scoops are $1.79 for an individual scoop) This location even carries garden items. They arent going to be high end, but if you're looking for something inexpensive, and gitchy, totally worth the price. The 5 freeway is just down the street, so if you're looking to pick up that quick bag of chips, gum, drinks, etc, this is so much easier than fighting the supermarket next door. *SHOPPING TIP* sign up for their shoppers card (no charge for doing so) and use it every time you make a purchase. The "points" are worth the various discounts you'll receive. Also, if you're a Plenti member, you'll get points for that too. SCORE!! read more

I come in weekly And ever week the Indian lady at the front end of the store is very rude and disrespectful. I never say anything because I sometimes have my kids with me. But time spent hundreds there over the months. So this last week I go in and she ask me if I'm paying with eBt. First of all I didn't even know what she was even talking about. Then she ask to see my credit card and I was like ok and she goes oh it's a regular card. And gets mad at me because it wasn't ebt. I didn't know what ebt was and I always use cash or Card. I called in to Complain and she gets on the phone acting like the manager. I will never go in there again. She is there everyday so I see why she has to be mean and rude to us people that actually have good jobs and can afford to shop there weekly. read more

I was never a regular rite aid shopper growing up. When I moved, it was the closest pharmacy to me so...long story short, I don't want to drive all over town. I pop in here every few days to pick up a few items that I need. The store is always clean and well organized. Sales are marked appropriately and if I do have any questions, the employees are not hard to find. When I come in, regardless if they're busy, I'm always greeted with a smile. It's nice to be able to have a small place to visit so you don't have to wait in line at a huge store. I have better things to do than stand in line all day. read more

Surprise I popped in to rite aid once again, not for ice cream. I just needed a few bottles of peroxide and some dishwashing liquid and a few other tidbits. As always the store was bright, clean and airy the cashier greeted me with a Hello, which is nice. So I grabbed a little basket and started dropping little items into my basket. I get over to the main reason why I came into the store ...to pick up a few bottles peroxide. To my shock and dismay they are selling hydrogen peroxide in Rite Aid for well over two bucks. So I politely put my basket down and abandoned the store. I drove over to Target and picked up my peroxide for 90 cents. Needless to say I won't be back anytime soon. The pharmacy is a joke. Came in to pick something up and they decided to start their vaccine salesman pitch and continued after i said I'm not interested. Told me nothing but blatant lies (not even about covid) which they should know IS FEDERALLY ILLEGAL. After I received my prescription the pharmacist which was supposed to give me informed consent just said "this is for x" and walked away. I actually had to call them back over because I'm not agreeing on their forum to something I didn't receive. The pharmacist seemed upset I even asked a couple basic questions. I spent 2 hours on riteaid.com getting my photos ready to be printed. After all that time I got booted off the website and had to restart. (Already frustrated). Redid my order of 84 4x6s, 1 8x10, and 1 5x7. Completed my order online and applied my coupon. Success $18 come and pick up in an hour. I came a couple days later from when I ordered to just ensure they were completed. I enter the store at 10am and one woman is ringing someone up. It's dead quiet throughout the store to where it was almost awkward. Casually, I gander over to the photo section and stand there for 5 mins and patiently wait. Now, I know the cashier saw me standing there but she proceeded to do other things to simply either ignore me, or wait until I begged for help. I yelled out "can I get help with photos" and she eagerly gets on the intercom and asks for someone to help me. A man named Dan comes out and assists me just fine. So, I head on over to the woman at the register to pay and my total is much higher than online by about $10. I explain to her I had an online order and pulled out my email to show her the prices the email listed on my order and she rang it up. The issue was she couldn't apply the same coupon I had for online without my physically having the coupon. (FYI makes online ordering completely pointless here). So when she rang me up the second time it was a little over $4 higher.. But hey $4 is half the cost of lunch... So I asked for a manager. My brother huffed and puffed due to my frugalness but if he wants lunch he can shut it. Dan comes back up to the register and the woman left to ring up another person on a diff register. He was able to fix my transaction smoothly and I thank him for that. If it wasn't for him, I would have been out half a burrito for lunch. Thank you Dan for fixing my transaction and aligning it with the same of the online transaction. ***if you do an online order, just pay online so you don't waste yours, and their time*** My pictures came out great. I come here for my prescriptions a lot and occasionally I'll grab a couple other things. After getting many prescriptions filled here and dealing with all the different people in the pharmacy I've decided I hate this place. The main pharmacist is a ditz and has messed things up a few times. There's one guy who is really nice and I'm always glad when he helps me. Today I had a young Asian woman make fun of my name. It was very rude and makes me not want to come back. A couple of the front end cashiers have been very off their game at times. I'm slowly convincing myself to give this place another try. I came in today, Sunday late morning, for some household items. I was short on time and in the area. I wanted to limit my errands for the day. I haven't stepped into the shop in a looonnnggg while. So I was pleased to see the re-model of the interior. The flooring, lighting, and displays were modern and glistening clean. I found my items quickly and checked out quickly. Wonderful. The cashier which I believe was the manager was great. This Rite Aid was a mess and basically had no line, which is made even worse when you have crazies in the store cutting in front of everyone and acting like they had no idea there was an actual line to the register. Employees were basically lifeless and didn't raise a finger to create any order so customers were dealt with in random order. Also, good luck getting around everybody crammed into the front of the store and actually accessing the aisle you want without going all the way to the back and looping around to get to it. read more

I posted this on Facebook but posting it here hoping this store gets a little recognition: I would just like to give a shout out to the rite aid in Sacramento on Del Paso Rd (95835) in hopes that their district manager sees this. After having a very rough day that included calling and going into Safeway stores looking for boxes for moving and being turned away and given the run around ("if you just call in the morning..." "...don't call, you should just come in at this time..." We can't hold boxes for you and don't know when we will ever unpack our items so you should really call first" ***as I stare at 20 boxes waiting to be u packed in their produce department!!) I went into this rite aid and was helped immediately. The cashier recommended that I call the next morning as they just received a shipment and had not unpacked it yet. I called and spoke to a manager the next morning (today) who assured me he could save me boxes even if I came that evening. I showed up around 5:30 today and Don (the manager at that time) was very friendly and polite and gave me a BOATLOAD of boxes. He even said that if I ever needed to I could come back and check in their box storage outside of the store (where boxes go before they go to the recycle bin) and take from there if I don't leave a mess. Seriously, in a stressful mess of a move, this store made all the difference. Thank you!! read more

Two women working there today at 1:00 were wearing their masks only over their mouths. Saan is always very friendly and has great customer service everytime I come to this store. He is always willing to help and very patient.

In short: the pharmacy sucks. The long version is: Horrible, horrible pharmacy. My first visit after getting my prescriptions transferred from another Rite Aid, the girl ringing me up said my perscription (that normally costs $10) would cost $120. I said "didn't my insurance cover it?" And her reply was "I dunno, guess not." So I asked if she could check. She gave a great sigh like I was asking her to go above and beyond her job description & looked it up. And *tada* my insurance covers it and it should only be $10. But then she had to "reprocess it" or something like that which was code for her taking 20 minutes in the back, then walking out of the pharmacy to leave for the day and telling me someone else would be taking care of it. Another 10 minutes and I finally get my perscription. On my next visit there, I dropped off a new perscription (but one I'd had before). I know from experience that it's very expensive and I can't afford it without the very helpful coupons my doctor gives me. So, when I dropped off the perscription, I asked the girl whether she needed my coupon now or later and she said to bring it tomorrow & that they would order my perscription today. Later that night, I got a voicemail from the pharmacy saying to call back (no reason). When I call back 5 minutes later, they're closed. I call back the next day and no one there knows why they called me. Finally, they figure it out and say my perscription is going to be $900 so they want to know if I'm going to buy it before they order it. I tell them again that, yes I want it, and yes I will pay for it because I have a coupon. They say ok, they'll order it. Now I have to wait another day for the order to come in, but whatever. When I go in to pick it up, the girl (same one who I originally dropped it off with) says they didn't order it because it was too expensive and they called my doctor asking her to prescribe something different for me! I explain that I've already told them twice I will buy it & that I have a coupon. She takes the coupon and spends 20 MINUTES trying to figure out how to apply it before she essentially gives up and says I can't use it because my insurance doesn't cover it (if my insurance covered it I wouldn't need the coupon Einstein). I tell her I've used it before and she just shrugs. So I calmly asked for the coupon and my perscription back. In a snotty tone, she tells me that no other place will be able to use the coupon either. After using all my reserve willpower, I resist responding that at least wherever I take it, they will be competent. I just respond that maybe they'll know how to use the coupon better. She rolls her eyes and then takes another 15 minutes trying to find my written perscription. So, then I take it over to Target. They had no problems filling it and when they tried to use the coupon couldn't - not because of some insurance B.S., but because Rite Aid didn't cancel the transaction when they were messing with it and it now comes up as having already been used. But, since they are nice and competent at Target, the pharmacist calls up the company & gets it corrected in record time. And viola, I have my perscription at no cost. Take that evil Rite Aid! Yeah, so skip this Rite Aid, and head somewhere else for your perscription needs. read more

My sister was visiting me from the east coast and her boyfriend sent her some money via Western Union for some expenses. I guess most Rite Aids do WU so we came here to pick up the money. We stood at the service desk for like 5 minutes while the checkout clerks ignored us. We had to flag one down to get some attention - when we told her what we were there for, she said she'd have to page a manager for that. We literally stood there for another TWENTY minutes (no that is not an exaggeration at all) while the clerk kept periodically calling "Dave or Sylvia, come to the front for Western Union." Finally some dude came up and before we could even say anything he snapped, "Photo is closed today!" My sister said "We're not here for photos. I'm picking up Western Union." (Uhhhhh, what part of "Dave to the front for Western Union" did he miss?! The page was repeated at LEAST 4 times!) And the guy's response? "We don't do Western Union here." With a snooty-ass tone that suggested we were morons who should've known better. WHAT. THE. FUCK. Would've been nice if someone had told us that 25 FUCKING MINUTES AGO when we first said we were there for Western Union!!!!!! So that's a half hour of our lives we'll never get back. The only satisfying part of this whole visit was when my sister cursed this guy out on our way out of the store. read more
