I reckon the newer, larger stores "akin to a super Wawa" are better. Would've been 3 stars had the gas pump screen worked and we could've gotten fuel, which is the intended purpose of a gas station.

Get to window and a security gate closes in my face with 3 cars behind me. The reason? Lunch time. Instead of alerting patient people waiting in line they just close up shop. No sign. No notification upon arrival to the line. Everyone deserves their lunch break but cannot one person stay to assist customers in one of the parts of the day where people actually go to run errands. Retail is dying because of this and hopefully CVS will follow the same destiny as rite aid to let new small businesses that understand and care for customers thrive when they are gone. Everything sold inside is overpriced. If it wasn't for fleecing customers with their prescriptions would they even have a business at all. All CVS locations in my experience are basically the same but this was even worse more so.

And although we left without buying a single thing - because this particular Weis is small and doesn't have much selection - they also didn't have a big majority of the stuff we generally shoot for. Among a few things we looked for any signs of bananas but we just couldn't find them and the stores' layout in produce was confusing. My brother found some single cake pieces but knew he couldn't carry it out without it melting before reaching home 2+ hours away, so forwent the piece and placed it back on the shelves. We all noticed a brand that another competitor store in a nearby state sells - TopCare- and could tell a price difference that seemed to be higher between Weis and that competitor for the same product. (tops Friendly markets in NY sells TopCare with the same branding and contact details on the box. I did like the reminder that social distancing was in place on the interior floor marker as you walk in near produce, but after that everybody is on the honor system. Im okay with that, given my stste takes their coronavirus precautions several steps farther.
