Great doctor. Referred by our friends and she is pretty amazing - great bedside manner, truly loves babies, and articulately answers questions parents have with information and thoroughness. We love her passion for work and babies. Calls with questions are answered in a day or two. Please don't hesitate to call again and follow up if you are needing sooner attention for your little one. The front desk staff - some of the younger ones are friendly, and attentive. We have also encountered others who have a sour attitude - they seem unhappy to work and are snappy with people. I would love the professionality of the front desk to match the doctor's and nurses who sincerely attend to and represent care for the patients. That would be my only feedback. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to meet Dr. Tenenbaum due to the front office. I've heard wonderful things about her. Before deciding to switch my son's doctor, I scheduled a consult with Dr. Tenenbaum. I informed the front office I would be paying cash PRIOR to the visit. The day before our appointment, I received a call from the office manager informing me I had to switch the name of my son's doctor on the policy otherwise they would not see me. I explained to her I was already informed paying out of pocked would be ok. She didn't care- and was frankly trying to bully me into changing my son's insurance policy to show Dr. Tenenbaum's name without even having a chance to even meet the doctor. I ended up canceling my appointment and would advise other's to look elsewhere. read more

As a first time mom, finding the perfect pediatrician was essential. After doing my research, I selected Dr. Tenenbaum and I am so happy I did. She always has me smiling from ear to ear when she interacts with my baby. (Excellent bedside manner) She is also very knowledgeable and explains the science behind things so that you have a more complete picture of the situation. I never feel like she is rushed and encourages lots of questions. Also all the tips and tricks that she gives new parents is amazing. Three kids in and I cannot recommend Dr Tenenbaum enough. She is smart, kind, thorough and funny. My kids love her and her staff....especially the lollipops! Her nurse Genna is the BEST! I never feel rushed when I'm at an appointment. Things are explained clearly and succinctly. Dr Tenenbaum and Genna really take the time to know the kids and connect with them, which is important to me. We are so fortunate to have her care for our kids. We have been going to Dr. Tenenbaum for over a year. I absolutely love her, she is caring with my kids and so educated on all the issues that come up as my kids grow. She also does a delayed vaccine schedule for my kids which I love since it allows my kids to get their vaccines without their little bodies being overwhelmed. Not sure I can truly articulate just how amazing of a pediatrician Dr. Tenenbaum is! She truly is the best and you should be rest assured that your kids are truly under the watch of an angel. Dr. Tenenbaums perspective, knowledge, and approach to medicine is superb. She is the perfect blend of Western and Eastern medicine... specifically, she doesn't prescribe antibiotics unless necessary and has a very hollistic and wholesome approach to child development and medicine. Without a doubt the best in Orange County and Los Angeles county. We travel 45mins+ to see her. We had to change insurance to Kaiser and can't find a Pediatrician to compare. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. MAs are the best and have the best techniques for administering shots/vaccines. Rita gets the kids involved in the checkup and doesn't talk to the parents as ignorants. We are all too excited for the day we can have Dr T again. read more

We had an annual check up appointment scheduled for 4:00 pm for our son and arrived early today. We asked if they could accommodate an early arrival. They said they would try. We waited and around 4:00 pm the front desk ushered us into to the exam room. A female tattoos weighed and took our son's blood pressure. Around 4:30 I asked how much longer the wait would be to see the doctor. The girl attendant appeared surprised I would dare ask her. That sort of set me off. So around 4:36 my wife and I decided we would leave. My wife told the attendant we would reschedule and the female attendant said "sure that's fine." I retorted.... NO we will find another doctor. She replied "your appointment was at 4:00." I replied "What time is it?" She replied "4:36." I replied "this is totally unprofessional, I have practiced law over 15 years and I have never made a client wait this long." I will never take my kids here again and I would never recommend anyone deal with such a nonchalant and arrogant staff. read more

Hands down, there is no better pediatrician in Los Angeles. My daughter is almost 18 now and has been a patient of Dr Tenebaums' since she was 2. I am going to miss our family pediatrician! This Dr is extremely knowledgeable, she takes the time to explain and discuss everything, she is very calming and reassuring - she has even comforted me when I was a nervous, sleep-deprived new mom and helped my daughter emotionally get through my own breast cancer treatments. This Dr is always aware of the latest medical advancements, she is so smart, yet so down to earth and has a great sense of humor. From toddlerhood all the way through to young adulthood, Dr T has never let us down. From well-checks to hospitalizations to calling me at home to see how we were, she has been there for us. I even choose a more expensive Insurance Plan so that we can go to this doctor - she's that good and that important to our family. Dr T loves to say that "bacteria are deathly afraid of soap and water" to remind kids to wash their hands - my kids and I say that all the time now too. First let me say this. Dr. Tenenbaum is the most amazing pediatrician ever! Not only did she help us out 13 years ago when another pediatrician misdiagnosed my son, she was very sting a d comforting and from that moment on absolutely love her. Moved away for six years and when I moved back, it wasn't a problem returning as a patient. On our first visit back, Dr. Tenenbaum remembered my son and that was awesome. It's comforting to know that as many children she sees, she remembers so much about each one. It's because of Dr. Tenenbaum, my son's asthma is better controlled. His eczema is practically cleared and overall in better health. Dr. Tenenbaum takes her time with patients and I love how she right away takes to the kids. She always ask, what wrong today? Or why did you have to come in? I like that. It makes the kids feel important and they tell their story. The office staff is amazing beyond words. A pleasure to deal with and always so nice. I would recommend Dr. Tenenbaum and her office to any new patents expecting their first or fourth babies. She will go above and beyond. And when my son was hospitalized for a few days a few years ago, she made sure to see him and make sure he was well taken care while in the hospital. read more

We switched to dr t from dr Lauren in childrens medical group. We like her SO much better. She takes a lot of time at each visit and is so caring and thoughtful. She is careful explaining things and has a wealth of knowledge (cites new research regularly). She gives more info than a typical well visit (I know bc I had several of them with dr Lauren). For ex, she talked to us about the difference in brain development in girls and boys and gave us suggestions about types of toys to get for our son that would encourage proper brain growth. She spent 25 minutes with us in our 1 year well visit. She observes the child in addition to listening to what you have to say. I really like her. Plus-the new office in hermosa is state of the art and the rest of the staff have been very kind and helpful. They have "sick" and "well" exam rooms. read more

Our kids have been going to Dr. Tenenbaum for more than 3 years now. She is a fantastic doctor. She is always up-to-date with the latest pediatric medical research. She recommends natural remedies whenever reasonable and never over-prescribes. Besides her obvious intelligence and knowledge base, she has that extra talent that only some doctors have. It can't exactly be quantified but she just has an ability to diagnose before she has even done the test to confirm. For example, she has diagnosed an ear infection before even looking; and she could tell us our baby was going to burp seconds before baby burped. We joke that she may have some kind of magic abilities. Her staff and billing department are also extremely helpful and wait times are not too long. read more
