They may be fine, but you have to actually get them to honor your appointment first…read more Went through literal weeks of back and forth via email with the office trying to set an appointment before I finally just called and set one (except setting an appointment with the office doesn't mean you actually have one, found that out the hard way later). At this point, when they hadn't responded for three business days after asking me send all of my personal info via email, I definitely thought I was being scammed but I naively proceeded because, you know, this is a medically necessary thing. After you're given an appointment date and time and instructions on submitting insurance, you then get to hope that someone in the office checks to confirm you submitted your paperwork- I guess my bad for thinking that's something an office administrator would do?- and makes your appointment OFFICIAL, because until that point it apparently is just a magic number that means nothing. Because if the office thinks you haven't submitted your paperwork they won't tell you, they'll just give your appointment to someone else, which you won't find out about until you follow up the day of your appointment asking how the doctor will contact you since you never received a link for a video call or an address for in-person visits. So hooray for me, I took the morning off for this and now I have no appointment. If you want to work with these people, hopefully you have a lot of time to waste getting started! For the business, maybe try an appointments portal if this is something your office admin can't handle properly now that you know this is an issue.
