I Contacted other so called reputable solar companies for repairs needed to my solar systems . They were rude ...or don't want to do a repair ..or quoted an outrageous amount of money for needed repairs of which they haven't seen over the phone . I contacted Rising Sun Solar and i was immediately transferred to an extremely nice and very capable office person Rachael i explained my situation .and she promptly set up an appointment for a solar technician to go out diagnose and repair my issues ..the tech who came out was very pleasant EXTREMELY knowledgeable.. on time worked very carefully on my system and cleaned up .promptly .and answered all my questions all thru the repair process AS a bonus their price for the repairs was VERY VERY FAIR... I will only use this solar company in the future when i need repairs or maintenance .on my systems . Working with Jeremy and Rising Sun Solar was a very comfortable experience for us. From the sales office, to the installation techs, to the quality of the products used, were top shelf. Our installation took longer than usual, last year, due to the supply chain issues that were just starting to improve. Our installation was complex due to an existing SunRun system as well as a legacy proprietary solar panel system. We asked Jeremy to add additional solar panels and multiple Tesla batteries to our existing network. This system would later successfully join with a propane home generator that auto starts during outages once the batteries are spent. The project was completed on budget and we have had no issues over the last year despite experiencing frequent Northshore outages. UPDATE (based on how things ultimately played out):…read more I'm updating my original 5-star review based on how this situation ultimately played out. After the April 2025 service (which was specifically for a drainage issue), the unit began leaking significantly more. A second technician from the company later noted that the indoor unit appeared to be sloped away from the drain. By that point, the system was leaking heavily. The indoor unit was installed with very limited clearance to the ceiling (approximately 1"), which can contribute to condensation and drainage issues. Over the following months, the problem worsened to the point where the unit stopped cooling properly and ultimately had to be replaced. There was also visible mold and buildup inside the unit consistent with ongoing moisture and drainage problems. I made multiple attempts to resolve this directly with the company. Their position was that the issue developed over time and was related to maintenance, and they declined to provide any additional compensation beyond credits for the service calls, which did not resolve the drainage issue. As a homeowner, I relied on the company's expertise and only became aware of potential underlying issues after the drainage problem was not resolved. I understand that older systems can have issues, but the condition of the unit worsened after the service that was intended to fix the drainage problem. Based on how this was handled, I do not feel the company stood behind the outcome of the service. I'm sharing this so others have the full context before deciding who to work with. Additional clarification: To clarify, I did not request that the company pay for a full replacement system - only a partial contribution toward the replacement after the condition worsened following the April service.
