Esp the light blue and orange/brown one I saw on the road kings (the bigger bikes). My reason for coming in was to grab some tees to take home to some family members that ride and the graphics on them were slim pickings. Whoever chooses the designs should have a bit more versatility to them, the graphics on them weren't my taste but maybe in Texas that's what they like. Also for the men's tee the back design was 80% all the same on the tees, unlike the women's which did have more of a variety. Kids section and accessories was very small as well. Staff was super friendly with that southern hospitality. Also if you checkin on Yelp you can get a free tee with the purchase of two Harley's tees. Grab that deal before it's gone, totally worth it!

At the other places, it was the usual dealership experience--rushed conversations, pressure to buy, and not much attention to what I was really looking for. Big D is a fantastic stop for two groups of motorcyclists: (1) the general motorcycling enthusiast…read morewho wants to see the beautiful bikes of yesteryear in running shape, and (2) the rider who wants scare his neighbor with a fast, loud cafe racer from England. Big D has a fine collection of different Norton, Triumph and other assorted bikes from the late-60s to the early-80s in immaculate restored condition. For the uninitiated, there is a slight learning curve involved in transitioning from a modern electric ignition bike with standardized shifting to a classic euro bike. First, there's no electric start. You'll be getting vigorously acquainted with a kickstarter on most of the models. Second, there is a variety of shift patterns, some are left side, some are right side, some are 1d5u, while others are 1u5d. Best of luck remembering. The last thing to remember about riding around on a loud, fast cafe racer from England is that the bikes of yesteryear shake. And how. It is not uncommon to arrive at a destination to find out your taillight is barely hanging on by the last thread of only one screw as it has backed out and is now trying to leave you. This is part of the allure of fun old bikes. You get to tinker. And who better to ask how to trick out your cafe racer than the staff of Big D. These guys regularly swing down to the Saltflats and have run streamliners and set records. They have bikes in fully restored conditioned, and in rolling frames. If you've got questions, they've got answers when it comes to the classics. This is a must-stop on a Saturday ride around the Metroplex.
