I was in town for a wedding and had some time to kill so I looked up climbing gyms on Yelp and found this little gem. Boulder walls were pretty solid. I like that they had tags up on new routes so members can rate the level grade. I didn't have time to check out the top roping section but it looked pretty fun. Went here with my brother and the employee was very rude to both of us. Rude from the minute we walked in. Was very unwelcoming and impatient. Horrible customer service. Acted like he knew the most and was just a straight up tool. I've hear about this place from word of mouth and heard it was a nice walk but service was horrible. Will not be going again anytime soon. read more

The owner, Dan Graham, is one of the foremost rock climbing educators in the country (author of the well-received book "The Self-Coached Climber"). The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. This gym is a rare gem in an unexpected place. My friends and I loved the whole experience, especially the high walls, when we visited a few weeks ago. The place is very well run and safety-oriented. This place is awesome! It is huge and there are so many rock path climbs to choose from, ranging from very beginner to extremely advanced. They offer a beginner belay class for those who are first time climbers, which only takes about 30 min. Also, they have a large bouldering area where you can free climb up to a certain height, but they have lots of padding underneath you in case you fall. They change the climbing paths all the time, just to make sure they keep things and fresh and you are continuously challenged. You can rent everything you need from them for a decent price, and you can go for even cheap when they have college specials on Monday nights or ladies night on Wednesdays. The only complaint that I have is that they aren't open in the mornings, only in the afternoons and evenings. However, it is well worth the price and it's a great workout that works your whole body, yet allows you to have a fun time doing it! I highly recommend trying them out if you are into trying new sports and want to give it a shot, or whether you are an experienced climber looking to continually improve. Also, they sometimes offer workshops and classes to help people learn new skills or improve the ones they have, such as rock climbing techniques or yoga for the rock climber. It's a very clean and friendly place, and the atmosphere is one where everyone is encouraging everyone else to do better and push themselves. It's not a competitive environment, but rather one that builds community and helps you as you are learning. Finally, the staff members are all great and very friendly.
